  1. Official Playstation 2 Magazine Australia, the magazine that sparked a debate over whether Shoreside Vale had been expanded has some more information for you to cast your eyes over. Back in June it was reported that the Shoreside Vale district had been expanded, and again in this issue they claim "a mystery land mass" can be seen from Portland. Bearing in mind they're getting the same preview as everyone else but nobody else seems to be reporting this. A new character will be in Liberty City, Vincenzo Cilli, a mob boss working under the Leone family will be dishing out missions to you early in the game. Popular radio station Chatterbox FM is set to return, presumably with Lazlow as the host, at least I'm hoping so, also The Liberty Jam, a new station will be blaring in your ears. The Porter Tunnel that connected the trio of islands in GTA3 will apparently not feature in this game, apparently ferry workers are angry that building a tunnel will put them out of a job (evidently it did as GTA3 saw no ferries). So that's all the info, no new screens. We'll update you when we receive anything else worth knowing. Thanks to GTAportable for the info.
  2. Take Two have just this minute sent out a press release with their 3rd quarter fiscal results. There was no mention of Liberty City Stories in the PR, except that it will be released in the 4th quarter of this year which we already knew. Other GTA related updates in the press release came in the form of the Japanese release of San Andreas. The best selling videogame of all time will hit the shelves in stores all over Japan some time during the 3rd quarter. UPDATE: After listening to the conference call, a couple more points arose which might be of general interest: "Hot Coffee" cost Rockstar a huge $28.8 million, or rather, the media did. San Andreas will be released as an M rated game once again, although with the patch applied to it - this will start next week. Rockstar have 2 more games planned for the PSP, as of yet unknown titles. Also, here's an interesting quote: View the full press release.
  3. Ooh yes lol I just ordered a new camera (dunno why) but it seemed a good idea earlier... yeah anyway i'll try not to look like a fool in any future pics of me.
  4. thanks, and yeah I hope so too! On Bucks Fizz? Deary me... LOL. Mind you, there is another bottle downstairs. Thing is it would probably take the whole thing to just get slightly pissed (plus this half bottle I'm drinking now) that = 1 litre of buck's fizz... I don't think I'll get wasted on that...Mind you theres also many bottles of carlsberg so you know...perhaps i'll come on drunk later
  5. lol k thanks Yeah i wish you were here too because no sex on my birthday is killing me love you too. thanks, nice one spelling my name wrong, turd brain, lol j/k mate "bithday"? Yeah it's really tacky... thanks thanks, and yeah I hope so too!
  6. You might remember about 3 weeks ago I discovered the possible teaser sites by researching domains owned by Rockstar. Well it turns out they've registered some more, Neil has found the following domains all on Rockstar's servers. Ammunation.net - This was the name of the gun store in all GTA games. CitizensUnitedNegatingTechnology.com and .org - I've already explained the rudeness of this domain, or it's acronym anyway, (C.U.N.T) FreeCoq - Who knows what will go here, something humourous I would imagine. Also note that coq is French for cock (as in the bird not the phallic synonym) so Rockstar could easily do something with the pun here. Lips106FM.com - The name of one of the confirmed radio stations that also appeared in GTA3, I personally don't think Rockstar will use this, they never used WCTR.org for the San Andreas radio station. NewMarketingReadThis.com - This could be to do with Love Media, the internet was starting to get huge back in 1998 so it's probably the start of something new for them. PauliesRevue.net - This is the name of Sex Club Seven before Lugi arrived on the scene. You'll get missions from JD O' Toole who owns this place. So there we have all the domains, the other domain we didn't list was bathtubginstill.com, as this isn't in the same server location as the aforementioned domains, it also displays a file not found error message. Having said all this Rockstar may never use them, we'll just have to wait.
  7. Thanks to the latest issue of PSM, and it's supplementary DVD. We now have eight more Liberty City Stories Screenshots, you've probably seen them before in magazines but these ones are digital quality. Check out the Screenshots page to see them. Thanks to Freddy50000 for getting them off the DVD.
  8. There have been many videos dedicated to GTA made over the past few years. Some of them bad, some of them pretty good. Jordan Liles, webmaster of PlanetGTA was kind enough to show me his latest production before he released it, and I thought it looked great already. Jordan has released the final version of it today, entitled "GTA Trilogy Tribute", I think it's the best video he's made to date. Download the video at Fileplanet (you'll need an account there). Post your comments and let everyone know what you thought of it.
  9. I'm still in a dilemma over whether I should get one or not, I think I would only play LCS. Having said that at the moment I have nothing else I want to spend £200 on.
  10. A few gaming websites (Gamer.nl and ToTheGame.com) have leaked what are seemingly digital quality screenshots of Liberty City Stories, while they aren't new, they are much better quality than magazine scans we have seen. Both websites have been asked by Rockstar to remove the screens so it looks like they've made a mistake by showing us them. Luckily thanks to flying_fox we have them all for you to see on our LCS Screenshots page.
  11. Just a quick reminder to everyone that Sony have released their PSP across Europe and Australasia. A PSP will set you back around £179.99/€249.99 depending on what you purchase. Many retailers and e-tailers have already sold out of their initial stock quota as it's in such high demand. Though at the time of posting, huge online shops such as Amazon.co.uk still have stock. Buying a PSP there along with Liberty City Stories will cost you just over £208 which is actually pretty good, probably at least a £10 saving on any high street price. Tonight we also have the possibility of an official site update, still no word from Rockstar but today would be an apt time to coincide with the PSP release. On a slightly related note last week saw the North American release of the PSP's 2.00 update.
  12. LOL that's been around for years mate. Virtually since the first ever MSN.
  13. The LVS Team have released the first public DevShot of their intuitive idea to bring Liberty City and Vice City into San Andreas. The download is comparatively tiny compared to some other total conversions, with this one at under 5mb, even users on dialup can download it relatively quickly. Download GTA LVS and post in our forums and let everyone know how it plays. Bearing in mind it is as of yet only 10% complete.
  14. I could probably make the mod better myself if I had enough time to dedicate to it.
  15. Moving this topic to the modding section. You should use photoshop to create the textures Use TXD Workshop for adding/replacing txd files Use a 3d modelling program such as Zmodeler2 to edit dff files and use IMG Tool 2.0 to add and replace dff files TXD Workshop and IMG Tool can be found in our downloads database.
  16. Ah right phpbb I haven't used that for years either, it's awful, full of bugs, they have to release a patch almost every week because it's so insecure. I've completely forgotten how phpbb works so it's no use asking me for help, I'm an expert at IPB but not phpbb. I don't remember there being a steal item for it.
  17. Popular Vice City modder JVT has given us permission to host all the mods he has made. At the moment he has made a huge amount of mods, currently standing at 177 for Vice City. As he is moving on to San Andreas now, we'll also be adding those, obviously it's going to take me a while to add nearly 200 mods to the database, so over the coming weeks you'll see them all appearing. After all JVT's mods are added we'll be adding hundreds more San Andreas mods to satisfy you all. Please be patient in the meantime. Browse our downloads database and see what takes your fancy.
  18. Are you using IBShop or IBStore? Both are pretty much discontinued now, Outlaw, the creator of IBstore retired from coding IPB mods and requested all his mods be removed from invisionize.com. Luckily I have a lot of them downloaded. The steal item comes with IBStore, but I haven't used IBShop for years now and I can't remember what items come with it.
  19. The team over at SA-MP have release an updated version of their multiplayer mod for Vice City, version 0.1b contains bug fixes and a few more features. You can read about all the new features and bug fixes in their DevLog. Or if you want to get straight into the action head on over to our download database and Download VC-MP 0.1b. Have fun!
  20. Adriaan got in contact with Rockstar a couple of days ago and they've provided us with an unwatermarked, uncompressed version of the Liberty City Stories box art. It measures 1149x1988 and was over 1.2mb, I've compressed it a little bit with a barely any loss in quality which has lowered the filesize down to just over 500kb. Click here to see the full box art.
  21. News on the GTA front is rather scarce at the moment, so I've been looking around seeing if I could find anything interesting to post. First of all news from the MTA team from their dev blog. The suprise that was promised for MTA blue has been revealed. Now when playing MTA you'll be able to speak to the people your playing with, using the new "robust in-game voice communication system." Bringing more interactivity to the online experience. Second update is for the downloads database, I haven't been adding many files over the last couple of weeks as I've been busy doing other more important things, I'll try and get a lot more files uploaded in the coming weeks. One of the useful tools we've uploaded recently is Steve M's map viewer, which allows you to pan over the maps of the 3 games in the GTA3 trilogy. Very useful for taking screenshots of the landscapes or if you're working on a mod and need to see where to place it and how it looks. Download Map Viewer

    US PSP 2.00 Update

It took a fairly long time for them to get this update out after the Jap one, I would assume that meant they were fixing more shit or something. I dunno I'm just waiting for the European release
  23. Sony released the 2.00 update for American PSP's yesterday, so now you get a browser, mp4, and some other stuff I don't know about. Apparently it means you can't use many homemade applications on it...that is until some cracks the PSP 2.00 software... Read more on http://www.us.playstation.com/psp.aspx?id=SoftwareUpdate
  24. Topic Closed. It's been asked at least 10 times before, use the search function.
  25. you mean inadequacies? That is actually a real word except in that context it makes no sense.
