Since things on the GTA scene will be staying rather quiet for the time being, I've decided to branch out and look forward to future games as well as GTA4. I've decided to create a fansite for a game that is awe-inspiring, the psychological action thriller, Alan Wake. It will be coming out on PC, PS3 and X360 next year probably. AlanWakeCentral.com is the home of my brand new site. It's still being worked on of course, and there isn't much content, but that will be more complete by the weekend. If you haven't heard of or seen footage of Alan Wake yet then I do urge you too because it's simply amazing, head over to the alan wake downloads section where you can find 2 trailers. If youve got a fast connection then you must definitely download that High Definition 1280x720 widescreen 2 minute video, it looks fantastic. In addition to the website I've also set up some new forums with a decent domain. You can check them out at AlanWakeForums.com. I'd appreciate it if you all join and post there to get them started, as they obviously aren't well known yet. It would also be nice if you have any suggestions or feeback that you let me know either here or preferably at Alan Wake Forums so I can improve the site... Hope you all like it

IGN have posted a new article along with some new screenshots. The article is short and literally just gives a very brief overview of five outfits Toni can wear. They are: Casual, Leone suit, Goodfellas, Antonio and Sweats. IGN's sister site Gamespy have also added a few new screenshots.So not very interesting information here but hopefully we'll get some from other sites later this week.

Why don't we make this the official place for that then. You can attach your save game to your post and someone else will download and complete it for you then upload again

We haven't posted much about any of the total conversion mods that are in development for San Andreas at the moment. I thought I'd mention this one since the GTA scene is rather dead at the moment. The 20 strong Dutch team behind Grand Tani Islands have released a video of what they've got in the game so far. And I must say it's quite impressive compared to some other TC's such as GTALVS which haven't got very much done yet, but these guys have. There is no gore code for Vice City, and you can already shoot peoples heads off or cut them off with a Katana, limbs cannot be severed though.

Yeah it was an IP in Bradford, England if I remember correctly and was the same as fire_spinners, but it was blacklisted, and a lot of the proxies mglib used appeared to be real IP addresses but quite obviously weren't. As for restoring backups, a database backup is generated every 24 hours, so we will never lose data older than 24 hours. And for the files, I have every file on my own hard drive so if anything ever gets deleted I can simply re upload it. I'm also writing a script to create a weekly backup of all files in the /downloads/ folder of thegtaplace and storing it on my own server, so in the event of everything getting deleted, I wont have to personally upload 2Gb of data, I can simply use the server's 100Mbit connection That's a brief insight into how it wouldnt matter too much if we were hacked

Wilbur Krinkle from The Netherlands emailed me a couple of days ago, he has compiled a gallery of photos comparing sights in San Andreas with what's seen in real-life. Better post your country and age also so we can compare, for example, 7th grade in USA = Year 6 in UK if the system works at the same age groups as ours.
