Assuming that the game ran (which it wouldn't) you would still be waiting for the first frame to load by the time GTA 5 comes out. Yeah, lol, that's what I thought. Not with that graphics card he won't. It's not supported and it's very poor anyway. Yeah, that's his weakest point. With a Pentium-D 2.8GHz, it might perform almost as well as a Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz, but I still wouldn't reccomend a Pentium to anybody looking for a good system. Only to people looking for cheaper systems (Under $600 or so) do I say Pentium. NEVER would I say Celeron or AMD Athlon/Sempron.

I wonder how many people here have Female set in their profile, but are in fact men.....

Just out of curiosity, how many weeks would it take to load 1 frame on my PC if I bypassed all the restrictions? (With every setting on MAX) OS: XP SP3 RAM: 512MB DDR1 @ 200MHz CPU: AMD Athlon 64 2800+, 1.8GHz, 200MHz, 512k Cache, Single Core GPU: 64MB OnBoard UniChromeII VGA/S3G Graphics MOBO: Gigabyte K8M800-8237 My RAM is OC to 222MHz, CPU to 2.0GHz and FSB to 222MHz.

Hmmm..... You will need to close down every other background process possible first..... If it does work, you will need to put every setting on minimum, and you'll still experience pretty slow frame rates. Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900 Technically, you might pass, but the CPU is a Pentium, (albeit the best one @ 2.8GHz), but still not good. The GPU will also need an upgrade to make the game a least slightly playable. I would recommend an NVIDIA 8800GT or an ATI 3850. For the CPU, go for a Core 2 Duo E6850. I would also recommend at least 2GB RAM. Overall, I'd say no to that system.

One thing I found quite amusing, that I would like not to see happen: When I was driving Packie home in IV, I stopped next to a pole so he couldn't get out, and after he said see you later Nikko, he punched me out the car and then got out my door, and left.

1) This topic was do discuss if it is possible to share VRAM. Not about Video Cards, and convincing me to get an ATI, or something else. 2) I never said I don't care about gaming, just said it's not priority #1. I will be playing GTAIV and Flight Simulator. 3) I am out of budget, and can't get a better card. And I hate ATI. No. And this topic really should be closed now that we've come to a conclusion about VRAM Sharing.
-
Because my RAM is only $120. To get 4GB, would be like $80. And how much better of a GPU could I get for $40?

Funny, I did a search and couldn't find it. (I actually took Llama's advice and searched for a topic before creating a new one!!!) Perhaps it's because I typed in Grand Theft Auto Board Game and you typed in Grand Theft Auto: The Board Game. Look you little twerp. If you want to get snippy with me you can go and Fuck Yourself Raybob. STFU and dont talk to me like that. Man, you act like you have power over me..... Funny. It's really not my fault Husky that the search engine didn't find it. Even search it yourself. http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.ph...Auto+Board+Game And dude, seriously calm down. Husky: Raybob:

I am not taking a Radeon. Fuck them. And I am taking a Gigabyte 9800. Compared to PNY 8800GT: $50 more expensive Custom Heatisnk Factory Overclocked to 700MHz 1GB RAM The RAM is huge for me, I do lots of video encoding. As I said, it's not all about games for me. The Custom Heatsink helps a lot too. I can push my OC farther, when 3 years in the future, it is a crappy card. And to me, twice as much VRAM will make me pay an extra $50. Especially if it's an NVIDIA 9 Series. And that is not the 9800 I'm getting. Mine had 1800MHz Memory (That was 1500) and Mine has 700MHz GPU (That was 500) P.S., this forum was not for convincing me to get a different card.

I made it look prefect white and clean on purpose. Besides, I'm not good at cracks, blemishes, etc. But, I'll try. Yeah, I know, not such a great factory, I can't model, but it's only Version 1 anyway. Look at Coca Cola Factory Version 1 Compared to 3. LOL, big difference. And just so you all know, version 1.1 will include the fixing of the distortion of the logo of the bag. I am looking for Version 2 Suggestions. And if anybody has any suggestions for a Version 2 of any other mod I've made, let me know. (Most of them aren't that great.) Yeah, there's really not a ton to do with it. I can't model, change texture maps, etc. Pretty much all I can do is change the logos and the colors of the factory. I really have to learn to model. Maybe I'll try today, with a Coca Cola Can for Version 4. And then maybe a Pepsi Can for the Pepsi Factory Version 2. Hmmmm....... I know, LOL, Vice City's almost 8 years old. Funny how just 2 months ago I started playing it on 1280x1024 and I thought it was like really realistic, now, after 2 months of IV on my 1080i 61" Widescreen, VC looks like utter shit. Ecspecially with my PC now unable to handle 1280x1024, and me having to use 1024x768. And it takes like 3 minutes for the textures for my mods to load since I made them like 8x the original resolution. Can't wait until I get IV on my new PC and start modding that.....

Provide humor by insult.... You're a very open and forward person aren't you? (Not a flame) It is very true though that insults are humorous.....

Well, after 6 hours, I've gotten 2 downloads. Not great, not terrible. I wonder if it'll beat the Coke Factory... Anybody here on the forums downloaded it?

Create a new topic for that. e.g. "Laptop Overclocking" Simple eh? Yes, we do all learn something new everyday. Wow you're a tool. :/ People see a broad topic title like "Overclocking" and think it is a general topic to discuss overclocking (whodathunkit!?) and you are just adding what you want to know about overclocking. Creating new topics seems to be your forte so I can see why you'd go straight to that. More topics doesn't make a better forum when said topics would be redundant if it fell under the heading of a previous topic! e.g. "Overclocking" "Laptop Overclocking". Root words being OVERCLOCKING! I just had a look at the Computer + Tech page and half the topics on the damn screen are yours. 4 of them overclocking topics. If someone made a "General Overclocking Topic" you could still rape the daily post count stats without having to make separate fucking topics on overclocking! LMAO. Owned, hey I got a quick Question, my Dell Inspiron 1501 use to have a 2 hour battery life. Now when ever I take it off of the charger it goes to 30 min. battery life after I downloaded a Windows Vista Theme. Simple. Uninstall the Vista Theme. And no, really not owned. And just for the record, he needs to calm down.

Architecture. Different CPU, same architecture. Oh, and you're right in nog going for a Q9650. Those things aren't worth the money at all. Just thought calling it overclocked was funny. That's all. Very true. Correction for before: "The Q9650 is simply a Q9550 with a raised multiplier."

lol. I was thinking more along the lines of it went downhill after Adam and Eve. But that's just me.

What? It's Soviet Font.

Yeah, I know. Unfortunately, my parents just don't get that. As for it lasting 3 years and being decent, that I do expect of it. And like I said before, I'll probably upgrade either 12GB DDR2 1066 or 8GB DDR3 1800 RAM in a few years.
-
Well, fine. Get it. I answered your question didn't I? Yes you did. Memory Sharing is pretty much useless. Doesn't mean I won't try it, but at least I know it likely won't help, so I won't be dissapointed when I don't see much of a difference, if any. And, I stated my reasoning of why I am going with a 9800GT. This forum was not meant to have people convince me to get an 8800GT or an ATI Radeon HD 4850/4870. Recap: (9800GT vs. 8800GT) Barely More Expensive Custom Heatsink Twice as much memory (For video encoding)

Who do you think was the best president ever? This does not include Obama, as he's only been in office for not even a month. Those who say Obama will be reported. This is not a poll, because there have been 43 Presidents, and only 20 choices are allowed per poll. If a mod would be kind enough to allow 43, it would be nice, although it probably won't happen.
