  1. I've seen some GTA IV on Mac gameplays and it seems to run fine... But then again I've also seen the 360 version of GTA IV emulated on PC...
  2. Dude please stop copy-pasting everything you find on Google, it's all crap. Well I guess post count is that important for some people... anehway, gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t5pelPiSfc Note how Niko still keeps his balance at the end although he's burning and being shot at
  3. Yes the drivers are up to date, GTA IV performance did actually improve after updating 'em but only in terms of frame rate. Both EFLC and IV are from Steam so guess they are the latest version... plus I'm running scripthook for 1.0.7.0. @Chris I suspected it's related to memory, but that's pretty much all I know so far Tried minimizing Draw Distance, no effect. @Evo Kay, I'll upload a gameplay video for ya And umm... vanilla is plant.
  4. Ok so I recently got this new GPU. And wile almost every game runs at over 70 FPS with the graphics maxed out, GTA IV runs... at 70 FPS with the graphics almost maxed out but with huge lag. It gets worse and worse the more I play, I stopped the game after about 30 minutes cause I don't wanna see my GPU barbecued. My specs: Intel Core i5-661 3.33 GHz (Dual Core) 4GB DDR3 RAM Gigabyte GeForce GTX550 Ti 1GB, cost me an arm and a leg Delux ATX-600W P4 v2.3 230V / 50 Hz, kidney I also have a motherboard somewhere... lol. Only GTA IV seems to have problems, other than that uhh... Mafia II has the same problem but it's barely noticeable. I don't think it's the GPU, or at least not this GPU. I've been having some lag ever since I re-formated and went from 32bit to 64bit but the game was running at lower frame rate back then so it didn't bother me...
  5. Spamming to increase your post count can be hazardous to your health.
  6. It wasn't mentioned cause it's self explanatory -.- I don't wanna seem ungrateful but it would probably take less time if I edited the file myself rather than downloading it.
  7. Or you could use Windows like every normal human being... Windows 7 works on Mac if I remember it right.
  8. Great news since I guess a GTA IV for Mac is out of the question...
  9. You and me both. Still, Saints Row 2 might run like crap but at least the frame rate is somewhat even. GTA IV, on my new GPU when I'm in Star Junction it runs at 70 FPS flat out and as soon as I leave the area it drops at 30 FPS.
  10. Yeah I have that problem too, don't know why or how to fix it. Anyway no, getting more RAM won't help since you already have more than needed. Disabling DEP is your best chance, long as we can find out how to disable the administrator crap...
  11. By the way I installed GTA SA on 64bit as well, just like Vice City and GTA III I had to turn the Frame Limiter on though, otherwise all sorts of problems would appear (not being able to reverse with the car, CJ jumping 50 meeters and dying etc).
  12. The default cars are shitty? Do they break your game? Don't think so. The modded ones are shitty cause they are made by a bunch of 40 year old piss lickers who live in their mom's basements. Now, I'd be happy to let you blow your brains out but probably the only reason why I'm still here is cause I'm not completely useless... Way I see it, your game is running out of memory (it doesn't matter if you have 2GB or 8GB, the game has a specific amount it's allowed to use). And those right there are quite a lot of mods... I'm guessing your game is pushed to the limit with all those graphics mods (7GB of textures, didn't know that was even possible), so it's enough to install just one car to go over the limit. I guess giving up some mods is out of the question, if that's the case then there are ways to allow your game to use more memory than allowed by default, just be warned that doing this might eventually come to bite you in the ass as well, like it did with me when I had a 32bit OS. Someone told me that a 64bit OS will respond better to memory tempering, I personally don't wanna take the risk with this since the only way to fix it is to reformat the PC. Use with caution: 1st thing you have to do is create a notepad file in the GTA IV / EFLC main folder (next to the other files and folders) called ''commandline'. Then enter these in it: -nomemrestrict -percentvidmem 100 -noprecache Also use -norestrictions if you think your GPU is good. Then disable DEP. You can do this by right clicking on Computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Performance > Data Execution Prevention and add GTA IV to exceptions. DO NOT disable DEP for all the programs, it will be instant PC rape. There's a chance GTA IV might not work with DEP disabled, if your game crashes at the start or doesn't launch at all go back to DEP and re-enable it. Again, I can't guarantee these will work, those are quite a lot of mods you have there, no game was made to support this many... PS: Native needs a lot of memory to work, and since you're running out of it Native can't really do it's job.
  13. No offense, but this is so easy a blind baby without hands could do it :-/
  14. Yes I didn't backup my saves. Why? Because at the beginning of the install the game told me that IT had moved my saves to a so called safe location. I abandoned the install so I can let the Windows install it's stupid updates and bam! Next thing I know my save games have been completely wiped out from the PC. Any way I can enable a downloaded save without xliveless? I have no intention in killing all 200 pigeons again...
  15. Oh I see. Well there's no real reason to upload that, I mean it takes only a few seconds and anybody can do it. But nobody uploaded something like this before so go ahead...
  16. WTF... piece of shit removed my saved games, and I had just finished the game 100% after re-formating. What retard made this anyway? And of course it doesn't work ether... why would it work...
  17. All anti-viruses blow hard. And like I said you don't need 'em if you know what to open and what not to. OMG I'M THE 666TH VISITOR I WON CLICK CLICK!
  18. That's great. But you still haven't answered my question, do you want to REPLACE existing vehicles with the modded ones or just ADD them? The processes are different for beginners... As for ENB, ELS and whatever, IDK why you're using them if your PC can't run the game with it's own graphics at a decent level... anyway my PC isn't great ether so I've never tried these, but if they have versions for 1.0.7.0 you should update your game, 1.7 doesn't necessarily run better but for me modding was easier (I believe 1.7 decrypts the files or some lame shit like that) and the game also feels a bit more solid...
  19. Vito Scaletta driving a Karen Dilledante in San Andreas and listening to Liberty City radios. Your argument is invalid. I knew it was just a map but... no traffic? No cops? Basically just driving?
  20. Mmm don't know what to tell you. My GTA SA ran fine on Windows 7 when I had the 32bit version, now I have the 64bit version but I haven't tried it on this one yet. I know though that Windows 7 tends to break certain old games randomly and permanently. Far as I know the only way to fix that is to re-format the PC... You can try this but IDK if it will work, it fixes a lot of issues but I'm not sure about this one: Right click on gtasa.exe, go to Properties, Compatibility tab and select ''run in compatibility mode with Windows 98'' Note that doing this will also change the game's User Files location, from C:\Users\[user name]\My Documents\ GTA San Andreas User Files to C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files. You can move your saves or music if you want. Another one that worked for me with other games was to disable Data Execution Prevention. It's a little thingamajig that prevents applications from using too much memory (keeps your PC nice and stable, also helps protect it from viruses). DO NOT under ANY circumstances disable it completely! Just add GTA SA as an exception. Here's how it works: Right click on Computer, go to Advanced System Settings, in the Advanced tab select Performance Settings and there you should find a tab for DEP. In there just add gtasa.exe as an exception. This works 75% of the time if you're using a no-cd crack I'M NOT SAYING you're using one... but IF you are, this might be the reason why your game(s) crash. One last suggestion I can give you is... reinstall the game Yeah, happened to me before, game broke randomly a few times and each time I reinstalled it it worked gain, no idea how to make this permanent though.
  21. I don't think I ever read so much in my whole life. Thanks. Well 1st thing you should do right now is reinstall GTA IV. Cause with all the errors you received so far I doubt you'll ever be able to get a mod to work with the game as it is now. Next, common knowledge before modding ANY game: -Right click on the game's main folder > Properties > Deselect the ''Read Only'' box, if it's not selected then select it and deselect it again. -Patch the game to the newest version, cracking (gotta play to win!) is optional but recommended if you have the game through retail (or through that ''other'' reliable source). -Backup the files you're going to mod. Okay now before I proceed to writing any further tell me something: do you want to replace existing vehicles OR add new ones?
  22. Neither SAMI or GMM were made for Vista. Install the mods manually or use Windows XP.
