820 RON = 277 USD Maybe I remember it wrong, maybe it wasn't a GeForce 250... or maybe it's been longer than I remember, anyway is the 250 any good?
-
Yes I wanted to buy a GeForce 250 but it was around 277$. Probably 250$ now.

If you wanna change the actual models then you probably know more about that than I do. If you just wanna look like that guy then just use a skin selector, or the Native Trainer, just be warned that the trainer is highly addicting...

By default the keys for hydraulics are: NUM8: Front hydraulics NUM2: Rear hydraulics NUM4: Left hydraulics NUM6: Right hydraulics It would be best to set them to the arrow keys but you have to do that manually from options. Anyway if you press NUM8 or NUM2 or the others and nothing happens then try toggling NUM lock on and off, I heard there's a bug that causes that on newer systems... Also, if you have a fast PC you should toggle V-Sync / Frame Limiter ON, GTA 3, VC and SA weren't made to run at high frame rate. These are generic solutions, more details about your problem would be nice... hope these help tho.

I don't care about DX11, DX9 games would look good enough for me if I could run 'em on max (or at least high) settings Hell in the case of GTA IV I'd be happy if I could just set the textures, reflections and resolution to high and everything else to medium.

Okaya. Well I don't really like that GT 240, it's just not enough of an improvement over my current GPU so, I'll start saving for a power supply... By the way, does it matter if it's PCi-E 2.0 or 2.1? I have no idea which one is mine..

Don't think my motherboard supports GDDR5 but meh close enough.
-
Doesn't seem to run it much better than my 9400GT (was about 70$), except it's on higher resolution. 1024 x 768 is all my monitor can do, but still... Anyway I kinda' got all the info I need, thanks.

I remember the guy at the shop recommended me a GT250 some time ago but it was around 277$. Is the GT240 affordable?

Ain't that a bitch... Well some f*cking degenerate took my Phoenix as soon as I opened the garage (CJ's mon's house), so I grabbed my NRG500 from the garage and I went after him. After a few seconds I tried to block him, and what happened is the motherf*cker pushed me over a cop and then knocked me off the bike. Cop got up 1st and well ''BUSTED''.

Okay, say if I can't get the 560 (measured the case and it's over 9.5, but I don't think I can afford a new power supply) what's the best GeForce that will work with my PSU?

How can I avoid triggering Checkpoint Charlie?

Yes there is a Squalo III at Vercetti (Ex Diaz) Mansion. As for Jetmax... deal with it :-/ -
Agreed! Especially since 90% of 'em are cheators

1. GTAForums sucks. Bad. 2. Not necessary? -
I can't tell if it's big(ish) or small(ish). I mean I've seen cases that are noticeably smaller than mine but I don't recall any that are visibly bigger... I'm using the same case I've had since 2004, didn't need to change it before...
-
Which sucks dick anyway.

@Damjan Yeah I know... got it in a rush, when my Radeon 9600 broke. @Pie So basically there's no way of knowing whether my GPU will fit inside the case until I buy it? R.I.P. convenience lol. And regarding the power supply, I basically have to get one that costs just as much as the GPU is that right?
-
It's in German T_T I don't see no voltage ether... EDIT: Found the warranty, 230V / 50Hz, ATX-450W P4.

Finally managed to put some money together for a graphics card, it's not much but I'll give it a go. What's the best Nvidia GPU I can get for up to 185$ (or 200$ but only if it's really worth the extra cash). Damjan pointed to a GeForce 560 but I'm not quite sure if it will work with my PC, so here's the config: http://imageshack.us/g/204/captureoz.png/ I don't think CPU-Z shows my power supply details. I have no idea what they are to be honest, I just know that it costed 20$ about 1.5 years ago... and my PC isn't noisy or anything, it's pretty cool too (cool as in literally ). So yeah, must be Nvidia, 1GB video memory and compatible with the rest of my PC... any (more) suggestions? Thanks.

Oh it's that graphics mod I saw some time ago on YouTube... mmm yeah I don't know, the game kinda' looks realistic with it (sort of) but also a bit un-stylish... Plus my PC can barely take GTA IV as it is lol. I just wish I could enable semi-smooth shadows without my game running like a roller coaster on bricks.

Still playing GTA IV and The Sims 3 mostly... apart from that umm... The Sims Medieval, very basic RPG with the addiction of a Sims game... Flatout Ultimate Carnage, good destruction racer for when you're really pissed off on life, which is most of the time in my case... would be nice if multiplayer was available in Romania though. Left 4 Dead 2, same old same old... but now with Dead Air from Left 4 Dead 1! I honestly don't remember it being so short though... Postal 2, if you've ever played a game full of gore and violence and thought ''damn this is the most violent and gore game ever'' then you clearly haven't played Postal 2. This game is sick. Literally. Don't worry about becoming to addicted to it though, it'll crash when you're having the most fun... I also dug out Croc: Legend of the Gobos from my old PS1 collection... I don't remember playing this game back in the day, it's alright, but the instruction manual with the story background is lol.

This sucks. Forum layout I mean.

Only one advice: don't buy whatever crap you see in the shop, make your own configuration. I would also avoid ATi and AMD if I were you, but I heard their stuff got better recently though...
