I'm currently deliberating over what picture to pick to do a synopsis on for my Visuality essay. The sypnosis is basically to round up what you want to do in the actual 1500 word essay. I was really struggling trying to pick an image, because there was no limit to what you could pick, within reason, of course. I think I might do a Lowry picture, although I haven't decided yet. And, about an hour ago, I ordered GTAIV online from Tesco, to ensure I get it on release date. There's only one other site I saw that guarantees delivery on release date, and that was WHSmiths. Then, after I do my synopsis, I got to finish off my Digital Photography stuff and try to get some sort of presentation together for another lesson. I hate presentations.

I think those are for the Special Edition only though, which is still a decent deal but I want the standard edition. Fuck, I'm beginning to scrabble around now looking for decent sites, I'll have to order it either today or tomorrow.

It doesn't matter, I found 2 other sites that are accepting pre-orders for release date. I'm still looking for a few others though, as back up.

I'm hoping to walk straight into a store and pick up a copy, but I think I'll still pre-order in the next 2 or 3 days, hopefully from Zavvi or Amazon. As long as I get my copy on launch day, I'm happy.

I think it was mentioned a while back that if you cheat on the 360 version, you won't be able to get any Achievements. I'm not sure about the PS3 or PC, when it eventually comes out. Meh, I won't bother using them until I've finished the game, I definitely don't want this to end quickly.

Now come on, the pics look much better than the other ones. Stupid all those people complaining about the graphics, they look fine to me. I'm sure in-game they'll look even better. @ slashher2, trees do not make up a whole game, it's purely cosmetic.

Well, that's totally wrong for a start. Both 360 and PS3 have 16 player online content (for some of the modes), get your facts right before posting. As for the back cover, most shops slap on some sort of cover to vaguely resemble what the final product would look like. It is only a display cover, so it isn't real.

I doubt very much this is real, there's only 15 days until it's out, so we'll know soon enough. I know Rockstar leak info pretty much every day now, but I really can't see them leaking the intro. If they are to release any more vids, they'll either be promotional ones like the LCPD recruitment, and the Steinway beer gardens, etc, or a small compilation of gameplay just days from its release date, like they did with VC and SA. It's an extremely well put together video though, one of the best fakes I've seen. Notice that the comments were cancelled for the vid, so maybe too many people were saying it's fake.

I'm gonna take it relatively slow, I see no need to rush through just for the accolade of beating GTAIV reasonably quickly. And even then, other people will do the same thing, which sort of ruins the point of it. I want to explore every area, memorise the shortcuts and just have fun doing it. I still don't get bored driving around every city in all the previous GTA games, so this will take me an absolute age to finish.

Can anyone check to see if my tag still works? If not, when I get my internet connection sorted, I'll create a new one, but for now, mine is the_bossman Tell me if it doesn't work, and I'll make another. Looking forward to some great multiplayer battles.

It's just a port, dude.... To be "as good as it could have" been, they would have had to recreate the entire game. Cut them some slack. I'd love to get Bully for the Wii. Looks fun. Has always seemed like an interesting game. I know, I'm just saying, knowing what the 360 can do, and that there wasn't any tight time frames to stick to (that I know of), a slight graphical lift would have been an excellent decision. @ Vercetti Thug, don't let the graphics put you off, because it's an extremely fun game to play, with extras not in the PS2 and Wii versions. If you don't already own it, it's a great purchase to make.

I own pretty much all the MOHs so far, except the PC, PSP and PS3 versions, but you should go for the COD series. MOH is all about waging one-man wars, and set pieces that kick in when you cross an imaginary line. MOH used to be the daddy of FPS's back in the late 90's/early 00's - e.g. MOH1, MOH Underground and MOH Frontline, but after that, the series has gone downhill rapidly, and I've lost all interest in it. I've played a few COD games, but only the demos, and I thought they were okay, but could be better - the first 2 games, haven't played the 3rd one. As for this generation, MOH Airborne is really average, and COD4 Modern Warfare is currently the best FPS out there, so, you should really go for COD. @ Noru, COD5 will DEFINITELY be going back to WWII, unfortunately. I would have preferred WWI, or the Vietnam War.

^ Again, it's unconfirmed, and it might not even happen, I'm just 'guesstimating'. With no links to post, I doubt that info will be true. It looks like it'll definitely be available in Sweden, so hopefully it'll be announced for release here within the next few days.

The rumours are that it'll go on sale about a week before it's released, and that includes the U.K and America. I also read that it'll be £299, although I don't think a DualShock3 will come with it. If it does, the price will probably be around £320. In America with the DualShock3, I don't know, I guess around $400, but without, around $360. I'm just guessing, and I don't have a link to where I heard it - a guy predicted it'd be around £299, so I don't know if it's true, or if it'll ever happen. Not that I care, seeing as I recently got the GT5 bundle, but good for potential PS3 owners. Also, I have to say the recent 360 bundles Microsoft announced look quite tempting, especially the 2nd bundle, the Premium one, I think.

Some people are never happy. Just be thankful there's a massive multi-player mode in the first place. Sure, the screens look quite average, but what did you expect, seeing as the WHOLE city is available to roam around in, with up to 16 players blasting chunks out of each other at the same time? I'm delighted there'll be lots of multi-player modes, and as soon as I sort out my PS3 connection, I can see myself wasting day after day on it.

Well, today I bought a 40GB PS3! I got Motorstorm and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, and I got Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for free! I got the package from Gamestation, and because they couldn't give me a certain bundle - no stock left, they gave me the GT5 bundle, so I got the game for free. I also got a Blu-Ray disc with it for free - The Patriot, with Mel Gibson, so I'm very pleased today. In about an hour I'll move the PS3 from the lounge to my bedroom and put the PS2 somewhere else, so I can play it later. Hence why I changed my signature.

I very much doubt he'll be in the game. If a past GTA character does appear, at best it would be a cameo, IMO. They want to go in a whole new direction with GTA4, so I don't think this'll happen.

Each topic you see today, boasting real GTA4 footage, or whatever other forums you're on mentioning something equally as epic, disregard it, it's quite obviously going to be a big fat pack of lies.

I had a dream about GTAIV yesterday, and it's weird, it's like I imagined either a few multiplayer modes, or some missions. Imaginary ones, obviously, but sometimes I do get deja vu, so who knows... Anyway, I only remember scraps of the dream, but I managed to write some of it down. Niko is in some abandoned building, and it's night-time. He's patrolling around with no weapon out, and I decide to move the camera in close to his face. For some reason, he looks different - for one, he had some sort of quiff, but his clothes I can't remember, so they must have been fairly regular. Occasionally he moved his lips, but I didn't know what he was saying. Then, all these people burst out of this door, men and women, and Niko starts to gun them all down. That's all I remember for that bit. Another one, he was in some high building, maybe some sort of flat, and he's with a woman - not sure how, or why she's there. Then, he gets assaulted by all these dudes on rooftops outside the building, and he responds with a load of machine gun fire, killing all of them, before blowing a stationary chopper up. The remaining 2 bits were vehicle related. He's running around outside, and there's several arrows above these cars, grey arrows. He's looking for a person, but again I forget who that was. The other one was just him driving around a car park in some sort of people carrier car, and that's all I remember. Seems odd to post this here, but I even imagined the set-up I had in my room, really fucking weird.

Nice, when a weapon is selected, I presume that just fades in and out on screen? I like the look definitely. I see that the traditional North symbol on the radar still remains, as well.

I watched an episode of The Big Bang Theory that was on TV yesterday, and it was abysmal, really quite appallingly bad. The laughs seemed to revolve around the characters wearing stupid costumes, and lame one-liners, which weren't even funny. Probably one of the worst comedies I've seen in recent times, even worse than The I.T Crowd, and that's saying something. Also, Will & Grace, not bad, but very overrated.
