even though SA has better gameplay and i love it, GTA III has its new york mafia and yakuza thing but vice city is where the perfect theme is. so i voted VC

The Lost and Damned trailer 2 now live!
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Chris's topic in GTA IV News
sadly, i know. i was just hoping if sony could realize that buying GTA episodes could make profit and try to race microsoft from buying them in GTA V or whatever it will be called, microsoft DLC contract wouldn't last that long would it? god i hope one of my friends will buy this DLC so i can also play it -
Man calls 911 after eatery runs out of lemonade
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to 2003's topic in Members' Lounge
wow, old people like that really exist?? but seriously though, try not to laugh at them guys. after all they are old, their mind aren't as stable as us and their point of view is very different, imagine when you're old and you are doing the same thing, must be pretty embarassing. except if it happened on GTA -
The Lost and Damned trailer 2 now live!
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Chris's topic in GTA IV News
goddamit, microsoft is having a monopoly for this lost and damned, many people will start buying xbox 360. i hope this exclusive add-ons will not happen in the next story. it is not fair to us ps3 gamers i wish i still had my xbox 360, but no. now it's just me and my ps3 but i think when sony looks at the sales rating after this they will be freaked out -
so a few months ago my xbox broke again, and my brother had enough. so he bought a ps3 instead, and i didn't have a chance to play the Lost and Damned. have any of you play it? if so tell me about it. what was good? was johnny cooler than niko? what was bad? tell me about the storyline from zero to the end if you think it is a spoiler then use the spoiler thing to cover it. i just want to hear the story, if i cannot do such a thing please tell me fast

shit, i hope i'm not tired of playing games by then because i'll be around 20 in 2011 i hope they extend the gameplay by then, not just the story. well i guess it's a good call by R*, they should wait for chinatown wars and L.A noire to come out first to increase their profit, after that they should make GTA V with an expensive budget to increase the game's quality

sorry to interrupt but i'm curious, what's your religion spaz? and whose side are you on? the believers, the atheist or still finding the answer like me? i'm not here to confront you, i'm just confused about whose side are you on no one really knows whether there is a God or not, i'm going to be honest with all of you. i'm still confused myself, but i do believe that someone or something created this universe. my friend told me that this thing is called agnostic: people who are still confused about the existence of God

Shall I get GTA Vice City Stories?
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Bulletproofboy's topic in GTA Vice City Stories
Not really. I prefer GTA3 to Vice City but Vice City Stories to Liberty City Stories. well, it was my opinion. i was comparing it from the story, you know, if you liked GTA III then you would enjoy the prequel and so is vice city not everybody has the same opinion, obviously -
Shall I get GTA Vice City Stories?
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Bulletproofboy's topic in GTA Vice City Stories
if you are getting one ask yourself, is GTA III better than vice city or is vice city cooler? if you prefer GTA III, buy LCS but if it is vice city then buy VCS i prefer VCS though because the gameplay is more fun -
Who is your best Character In The GTA Series
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to NSanityHD's topic in General GTA Series Chat
Tommy Vercetti of course niko almost got it by my opinion but tommy is always the best. the clothes, the attitude, ray liotta's voice, the 80's period that suits him perfectly and his tough guy act really make him the best character in GTA ever -
what's this all bodybuilder thing? i want to be back on topic anyway: -the ability to carry stuff (like weapons) into a bag (like the one niko always carry in missions but not in freeplay) and we can use it all the time, we can put it in the trunk, and have the ability to buy a new one, a bigger bag for your rpg's and flamethrowers, and if you're not carrying a bag you can only use pistol and melee weapons -vigilantes can be done in two options: catch or kill, we should have handcuffs when entering a police car, and we'll be like a bounty hunter. and there should be different amount of cash for most wanted guys. -fitness again, but more variations, and this time i want sixaxis (ps3 version) involved -planes obviously -bigger city, but as detailed as IV -friendship feature is okay, but instead of one friend at a time, i want 3 to 5 friends to join us at the same time. and instead of goofing off drinking untill you puke, they should be allowed to talk about criminal plans like robbing banks, kidnap someone important, etc. i'm talking about making a plan while bonding with friends, and it's up to us to accept/refuse that plan. so friendship can be the bridge for side missions, i know they already are in IV, but it's just wasn't enough. -better precision aim, and if r* think they can do it, more violence to a specific body part, like broken bones, cut off hands and fingers and we can see bullets went through the body -one of the characters in IV to be back, anyone would be okay -the ability to sell and buy drugs like in GTA: chinatown wars, but cooler and more detailed, maybe in-game friends could also be a connection to better drugs selections -more italian mafia, or yakuza. they always excites me for playing some more and more that i can't think of but i think those above are more than enough to be GTA V

yeah, you don't have to push the sanchez to it's maximum speed. just go a little slow and you'll be fine, and you don't have to shoot pegorino while you're driving the heli either, wait for him to shoot you and you'll have a safe landing in the hapiness island. just make sure you have enough armor, or if you already lose your armor just don't run into of pegorino's henchmen so much. just chase him and ignore the others. shoot him with anything to kill him once you're in the trees, use of cover won't be necesarry because killing him is the easiest part.

i agree that it would make R* richer, i read somewhere that wii sales rating is higher than Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP sales rating combined. so it means that many people have wii right? if a GTA is released on wii who doesn't want it? seriously they already released bully: scholarship and manhunt 2, so why not GTA? and even though the controls would be a pain in the ass, i would like to see R* improvise and use wii controls as an advantage, can you imagine a GTA that'll make us tired?? probably the gun and car controls that are tiresome, but hey it makes the game more fun and healthy. and since i already have a wii i hope R* really make one, just one GTA in a wii.

There is no racial discrimination in politics. Blacks are HARDLY treated worse. In fact, blacks get treated special because they are black. Racism? Yeah. Against white people. yeah i just think that this day would never come so soon. african american as a president, you know. it's the dawn of a new era (i may have exagerrate it a little). but some people (from all over the world) think that black can only be an actor, a basketball superstar, etc. italian as a mafia, actors, etc. there are some people who still thinks like that you know (like my own mother), and now i can prove them wrong. so it's just good to know that Obama wins, if i'm an american i would have voted for him anyway.

So....... do you still play it?
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to fatalgamer's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
my big brother trade it with his friend for assassin's creed, but it's just for a while. i miss it already but that's fine, because to be honest the game i miss the most is Vice City. it was the atmosphere that made me want to play again and again. but GTA IV is the second game i miss. i hope after i finish assassin's creed it's going to come back to me. episodic content..., it sounds pretty cool but doesn't the PC version have a LOT of modders that'll make the game even more fun? even R* can't beat that. -
i'm about to make a topic about him but then again i'm too lazy to do that i think he is actually an honest leader, and now that the first black president in America has been elected i feel relieved because perhaps discrimination against race is no more in politics. and let's not forget that his stepfather is an Indonesian i honestly think that Obama has his own vision about USA, and these visions are important to the future of one of the most respected state on earth. about stopping the iraq war and all. he is quite the hero, and all we need these days is him to be the leader and not McCain. because i think McCain would just be an ordinary president, not phenomenal like Obama.

Rookie of the year vs the MVP
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to surrealistic ArtSweet's topic in General GTA Series Chat
thanks yeah, actually i played it even though just for a few minutes and i gotta say it's pretty good. the story: the comedy is more slapstick than GTA, there are more unthinkable chaos through the story like when you got johnny out of trial, i gotta say i don't hate them like i do in the first one. if you want funny sh*ts and rough gangster storyline you gotta play SR2 the music: not as good as GTA IV, i probably haven't listened to all of them but for good soundtrack license, GTA is the man graphic: they are pushing it, draw distance is screwed up but it's still okay to look at them, they're not that bad gameplay: it's pretty good, that's all i'm gonna say overall i'm still voting for GTA but as for SR2 i congratulate them because they didn't fail like other games that are similiar to GTA -
They supposedly aren't retroactive, not just on GTA IV but all games that are now adding them. Meaning you'll need to play through the game again if you want them. oh man, that means i'm gonna play it from the start again? right, as long as it's keeping me playing GTA IV i'm ready to start a new game.

wait a minute, how about if you already completed the game? will you get the trophies altogether instantly or will it not be counted?

What are you listening to right now?
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Chris's topic in Members' Lounge
psychedelic furs - love my way goddamn i miss vice city -
i don't know where should i put this topic, so i put it here. move it if you like March 28, 2008 - The gangster lifestyle has been popularized to the nth degree since Grand Theft Auto first burst onto the scene so many years ago. In August of 2006 Saints Row released to the Xbox 360 as the first, of what was then known as next-gen, free-roaming killing sprees. The nature of the original Saints Row was about delivering over-the-top characters and action set in a grizzled city environment. Saints Row 2 picks up after the events of the first with your character broken and unsure of his loyalties. We recently spoke with James Tsai, Lead Designer for Saints Row 2 at Volition Studios, to get the scoop on everything from returning characters, new mission types and the development team's confidence in going up against the monster known as GTA IV. Source: IGN from this article we know that saints row II and our beloved (or hated to some of us) game GTA IV. they're trying to put GTA IV down the drain by making this new game you all know, maybe because we are GTA fans we think that R* will not lose and there's no way in hell that saints row II will win. but hear what i'm about to say: back then Driver series was the best, infact i used to be their big fan. but then it was beaten by a game called: GTA III. the sequel of Driv3r wasn't helping that much because R* already have SA in store. what i'm saying is that things changed, GTA can't be the king forever. so i think that this is the biggest threat besides Mafia II, The Godfather part II, and more true crime series. so now i took the liberty of comparing the two of them Graphic: this is pointless to talk about, i know. GTA IV won without question, the physics, details and more are great compared to saints row II Music: i can't judge this yet, GTA IV had some interesting list of songs although they're not as big as vice city or SA song list. as for saints row II they haven't release any song list yet, but my guess is better than saints row I, which sucked and picked randomly by my opinion. i think saints row II will have better but if they're stupid, instead of listing good songs that fit in the game, they'll put expensive hit songs which teenagers are listening to today. Story: who here says that saints row I have a good story?? i don't, i think they suck and volition should look at the mistakes: unrealistic, trying to be cool(failed), suck drama and bad voice casting. i think they were trying to cut the budget by hiring lowlife scriptwriters(my opinion), i really think they should improve it if they want to go againts R*. we all know that R* already spend a lot of money for story, and i think GTA IV is the second best script in any GTA ever. Gameplay: from above i know that it looks like GTA IV is going to win without question, but gameplay?? hey don't get me wrong, i love GTA IV gameplay, but not much as i love SA gameplay, and i have to say saints row I have a pretty good one. almost as good as SA. and this saints row sequel we're talking about is an open world of chaos, crimes, drug dealing, illegal racing, insurance fraud, throwing people into trains and customizable gang crew. which we know is real popular among some of the kids who play sandbox game these days. online feature of saints row II is also promising, GTA IV online is great but gets boring after a while. overall: IV - 8.7 Graphics: 9/10 for a sandbox game, the coolest ever Music: 8/10 good songs Story: 10/10 i love it! Gameplay: 7.8/10 i know, your opinion might not be the same, but this is what i think saints row I - 6.25 Graphics: 8/10 better than SA, first sandbox in the next-gen so what the hell Music: 7/10 a few of them are cool but the rest... Story: 2/10 i hate it so much!! Gameplay: 8/10 so many features saints row II - n/a Graphics: 8/10 not so many improvements Music: n/a Story: n/a about the returning of our hero in I, but it's pushing it a little don't you think? Gameplay: i would have to say n/a, but if it's as good as they say they got my vote how about your opinion?? you don't have to say it as much as me, but just think, who will win?? do you think saints row is the next king? or will it be R* and saints row will sunk just like many developers before??

Chinatown Wars lets you buy and sell drugs
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Ivan's topic in GTA Chinatown Wars
i think this new feature will decide wether GTA: CW is going to be good or suck. the selection of drugs is okay, yet it might get boring after a while, but i can't judge on that. it might be cool, especially if we can rely on selling drugs whenever we need money. if it's good maybe they will add this feature to the next console GTA -
What GTA is the worst or the best?
surrealistic ArtSweet replied to Husky's topic in General GTA Series Chat
i'd say get vice city or SA, the stories are cool but they're too short and not as fun. LCS were my least favorite although it still has its moments -
why the hell do you want it in GTA?? go play mass effect and blast the moon all you want. it's not a matter of realism, i mean a criminal game set in a galaxy??? it's not right for GTA but hey, i'm just saying. it's only my opinion but i'm sure some of the guys will agree that they would rather have the gym training features back rather than a GTA with a space shuttle.

i'm 17, going 18 in 5 months. but i've played GTA since i was like 10 maybe. it's shouldn't be based on your age actually, playing GTA is based on judgement and mentality. if you take these games seriously and do stupid things like all those sickos who's been in the news then even if you are 64 it's not your kind of game. i trust all of you in this forum to look at GTA as a game only, as an entertainment. not as a thing you will do when you are older, the people who do that only end up in jail, some mental asylum, and drug rehab. well, it's true that most kids these days are so naive, they try anything they see. but it's part of your job(i'm talking to all of the underage kids here) as a kid to grow up and make right decisions, you don't want to be treated like a kid forever do you? to tell you the truth when my mom first saw me playing this game(a long time ago when GTA 3 came out) and she said like: why the hell would you hit that old lady?? and then i ask her to try it herself, and then after killing a few people my mom said like: this is a lot of fun, no wonder you do it! anyway these rating system (ESRB) aren't that effective, but they do the job
