in my opinion, even though i love tommy's character i'd have to say Niko would win, tommy doesn't specialize in melee attacks, Carl uses too many guns and even though his kung-fu would beat Claude and Tommy, he would have no chance against Niko, why? Niko specializes in army attacks, stealths, advanced combat, takedowns, and other so called "red-army shit" brucie was talking about. why are you guys arguing about this? i'd tell you who really knows: it's the God himself, or in this case R*

UK, August 4, 2008 - The distribution of Grand Theft Auto IV in Thailand could be halted following the confession of a teenager who claimed he robbed and murdered a taxi driver while trying to recreate a scene from the game. According to Reuters, Thai game distributor New Era Interactive Media has requested that shops pull the game from their shelves following the incident, with the company offering to replace it with other games should they co-operate. An 18-year-old high school student is in custody after Thai police arrested him on Saturday night when he was found driving a taxi backwards down a Bangkok street with the wounded cab driver in the backseat. If the teenager is found guilty of robbing and murdering the 54-year-old cabbie he faces death by lethal injection. The youth, who has been described as an obsessive player of Grand Theft Auto, apparently confessed to the crime as a result of playing the game, with chief police investigator Veeravit Pipattanasak adding: "He said he wanted to find out if it was as easy in real life to rob a taxi as it was in the game." However, according to newspaper reports the suspect admitted he didn't mean to kill the driver, but stabbed him to death when he fought back. Whether the ban of the game will be enforced across the whole of Thailand remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Rockstar declined to comment on either the ban or the murder. source: IGN i think this news says it all, i think GTA shouldn't be banned for kids, it should be banned for psychos. after all this is an 18-year old, like they say 18 year-old are old enough to think and make the right choices, yeah right. i think the right thing to do is if we want to buy GTA we should get a pshyciatrist note first.

oh right, i've heard paris mentioned briefly several times in GTA IV. but perhaps it's nothing. i think the new main character is not going to be an American anymore, like IV. i mean sure Tommy is Italian, CJ is African(Claude is left untold) but they are American, Italian American and African American. unlike Niko who is a pure eastern Europe. this character is cool and fit to the story like Niko, he doesn't know anything about the city but he learned to survive if the settings going to be in eastern europe, perhaps it can be set not long after Niko's war. so that some of the city is still destroyed and that will add a cool new atmosphere to GTA, you know... people are all poor because war and had to do everything they can to get food and money. or maybe before the war so we could know Niko's friends, a straight maybe?

here goes: -Saints Row(the story sucks bad!!! no real street gangsters are like that) -john woo's stranglehold(great director can make a great game my ass!) -Driv3r, Atari made it not as good as it can be and Tanner used to be cool. parallel lines were not as bad but it still uncomparable to GTA -187 ride or die -any marvel made games(except the punisher) -battlefield 2: modern combat(a shotgun that can kill at the range of a sniper?? crappy graphic? f*** this) -25 to life(no comment... i'm spechless)

whoa, wouldn't that make the game have a foreign language? i mean it would suck if the Japanese people on that Tokyo talk english(unrealistic and corny) but it would also suck if they speaks japanese because i can't understand it(really, do you think the whole game will have subtitles?) i think the only options that R* have is to make the game in the US, UK, Australia or another country that speaks english so that all the people in the world can play it.

well, i think for the 360 owners they can release new series on the DLC, but how about PS3 owners? i think R* wouldn't release the new scripted missions in DLC, at least not the important ones. if it is in DLC only, it would make PS3 owners so mad, and not to mention the Sony company itself. i bet they'll release new missions but not about the story, in my opinion they would release missions that are about Niko's glory because now he had it all what he wanted . how it all happened in GTA IV or how it continues will be released in a new sub-game. i think there is still a lot of story in IV that they can make, we never know. as our partner in the next game anyone? as for GTA IV i think it'll be released in the next-next gen. PS4 and the third xbox, we'll never know. pc version? a lot of you still waiting for it right? including some of my friends. well, who knows? let me just say this: R* will go apesh*t if they count the amount of money they could have if they release the pc version

goddamn, most of the people who stated the word "GTA is inappropriate for children" was because they want to be called a good person where the truth is actually the other way around. they are actually destroying freedom, not only in America but also the freedom around the world, and R* actually have rights to release hot coffee as long as they rated it as 21+(which what have been the problem, SA was not rated R when hot coffee was released. and does all the ratings ever worked at all? maybe but if we look at these days, underage(including me) playing /watching/reading/looking at things that's unsuitable for them it's not that the rating system that's failed, i think personally it's because of the morale system. but what separates us from other creatures is actually our lack of judgement, morale, respect for others, and mainly our brains that's always need satisfying things. but these things are actually good things because what makes hero a hero is the existence of the villains(that's my quote don't steal it ). well not that R* is the villain, R* is simply a company that makes games under the rule of law, rights and constitutions. GTA is not meant for children and it does not mean that in real life we have to be a criminal. it depends on our judgement to choose, if you think GTA IV can make you a criminal or in this case(hot coffee case) a rapist, sex maniac, or perverts, then i suggest you to go to the Psychiatrist right now. GTA is just a game that's designed to satisfy our needs and release stress, not to make us stressed and be a serial killer, rapist or whatever criminal activity it is. our parents is a matter of concern too, but it's not that our parents are bad parents for letting us play GTA. our parents want what's best for us and i was told by my old man that playing these games couldn't make me a serial killer, but his wrong actions as a father can turn me into one. my parents only want me to have a little freedom, after all GTA can't kill me like drugs do right? JT and others should see that maybe a drug addict who wants to be cured would rather addicted to GTA game than crystal meth right?(i stole it from boston legal but what the hell) i'm glad that people don't care about it that much, it's not JT that sickens me. it's his mind that always thinking too conservative and oppose violence in games when he should have fight violence in real life instead.

i don't think so, it's way out of style and we already have saints row for that. gangsta gangbanger theme wouldn't be that good, i already like SA, so why bring another CJ? i agree with TM, GTA III is the most neutral, i'd like to work for everyone what i would like too see some more is Packie gang, the Irish gang/mafia, or maybe some more profesional drug empire gang like the vercetti gang in VC. if they are gonna make another gangbangers game it better be SAS

^in that case i have loads of wishlist for cheats i hope they bring some of these cheats in DLC: -no tires could popped up -stupid police (including their weapon accuracy) -no flying through the windscreen (seatbelt cheat) -no wanted level -tank cheat (if they bring tanks on DLC) -flying cars (i like it since it was made!!) -our cars can't blow up -money cheat (kinda pointless in this game, but if they bring more purpose for the money by DLC then show me the money!!!!!) -transform into other people cheat (so we wouldn't be bored of Niko) -the state of emergency/riot cheat (i mean for other peds attacking each other like in SA) -1 bullet 1 kill, if we shot anybody or anything (people, cars, helis, boats) they will instantly die including us! -speedometer (for cars) -fat Niko (if they didn't bring the use of food, at least let us cheat) -invincible from falling off buildings and bikes (for stunting, realisticism doesn't let us do cool stunts) -resisting arrest without more wanted level -6 star wanted level instantly -adrenaline cheat (like max payne where everybody move so slow!!)

looks like the game war has started again, years ago was the Driver series mocking the GTA series with Timmy Vermicelli and lots of other resemblance, it started from the mission: "Two-faced Tanner" in GTA III (the Driver started the sandbox game so they have the rights to do so, GTA wins because the Driv3r and Parallel lines had failed in PS2), now it's saints row which has started a decent game that's not totally sucked and now continues with much more chaotic sandbox game to beat the realisticly made GTA IV i wonder who will win?? i'll definitely buy this game to compare the greatness, and i bet the next GTA will mock the hell out of saints row 2

yeah i remember now, in GTA III was Michael Madsen and in LCS Danny Mastergiorgio Little Jacob has a good voice too

is it possible for the DLC to bring more cheats to the game? just for fun when i finished the story new cities/island (i don't wish for a specific island because any island would be just fine), barbershop, get fat if we eat too much, workout, tanks for fun(hopefully with a realistic physics too so another car wouldn't just blow up if we hit it), new cars that's what i can think of right now

you get a camera on your phone after completing one of playboy x's missions... yeah, but we barely use it in the game i hate that there's no barbershop and workout stuff in IV, building your strengh from zero is absolutely cool, i can accept that there are no parachutes, planes & car mods, but c'mon. i changed CJ's appearance all the time, and now i can't change Niko's appearance besides changing clothes?? i could've played a barbie doll instead. (don't take that literally ) other than that, nothing

Completed it 100%... Law chick is the only girl i've dated, and somehow it went wrong... oh, then it must be a glitch or something. but i'm sure if you try it again some will accept you it's a game after all, so no pain in rejection huh?

Ray Liotta as Tommy Vercetti of course, he's a perfect voice actor, imagine if tommy was done by another voice actor, that could make the whole game sucks i also like Sam Jackson as Tenpenny James Woods as Torenno Michael Hollick as Niko Tony C. in LCS(i forgot who voiced him) and Jenna Jameson as Candy Suxxx, lol

oh man, that was on my list of games after i'm done playing IV now it's down to Mafia 2, midnight club L.A, and Resident Evil 5, i've been wanting the Getaway since i saw PS3 for the first time! it's a sad day for me and Sony it was the atmosphere i love in The Getaway, the London feel and the great story in the game. now it's kinda sucks knowing that it's cancelled i hope someone buys those projects! 8 days was pretty cool in the trailer too, and i was hoping that The Getaway can learn to beat GTA, they were the only worthy rival in my opinion.

i don't know if this topic is already made, so i make one anyway this is about the next series that continues the story of IV okay as we know GTA IV is already out. i love it, some love it, some not too much, and some hate it. so i was wondering where, when and how would you want it to be? this is an ordinary wishlist for next GTA, but it never gets old is it? i personally want to see other countries, i'm bored that GTA had always been set in America since GTA II. i would like to see Europe, if it is in America i would like Detroit or something, and countryside, but not too big. i would like the 90's again, that'll be great. 70's might be good too new characters (a british guy would be cool for the main character), some old characters from IV (maybe from III also), parachutes, planes, the ability to work out(i really missed it), maybe the ability to pump gas(i'm not sure if it's gonna be good though), seatbelt button toggle so i don't get thrown out as much when i speed up (cool actually but gets annoying when i'm chased by the cops), more clothes, more cars, more tv shows (i love it cause it's so funny), more weapons obviously, airbags (so our health wouldn't be reduced as much), more use to the camera phone, empire feature like in VCS only improved, more highway, more bronx-like neighborhood, more italian mafia, no gangsta (i don't like it so much because it's too much chaos), more enterable buildings, fighting style improvements there are so much more, but i can't remember it all. maybe later

i've tried it like 5 times but after that it was easy (might have been a lucky getaway though, my health is like an inch away to death) first you kill all the drug dealers, that was very easy. when the police ambushed me, it was the hardest thing, i had to kill all of them. just move carefully, don't forget to use cover system and shoot all the swat members and regular cops i prepare a comet that time, it was very easy to be destroyed, but it makes your getaway faster and if you're lucky the cops will miss a lot when shooting. prepare a patriot, that's the perfect car for this.

There's nothing missing. It is what it is. One thing it is not is GTA SA 2. SA fans just don't like that they didn't include everything from that game which to me wasn't necessary to make it a good game anyway. IV is such an improvement over the previous games in the series. I don't expect everyone to agree with that. The long time SA fans just can't get over the fact that they can't parachute, jetpack, or fly planes in this one. It doesn't make it any less of a game because those things arent' there. I see all the improvements in the game where others just see something missing that they enjoyed in a past game. We have different viewpoints and there's just no way everyone will agree on it. i personally think that jetpacks in SA are overrated as for GTA IV, i'd give it 9/10, judging from every aspects that's in the game, not from what's not in the game. you gotta feel the GTA IV environment instead of thinking about SA features, whining about the features like babies who don't like their new toy does not bring it in GTA IV you know what? SA has it's ups and downs too, i think the girlfriend feature sucks BAD, food everyday is a bit boring after a while, i'm tired of the hood takeover when i already got 'em all, the police are too far easy(seriously i think i die much more because of the VC police) i still love SA till now, i don't hate it but i don't like some of the features. look, my point is that GTA IV is the same case, i love it, but it has ups and downs because i already played SA. it isn't comparable to SA, since it's just a starter game. you all gotta face the facts that next GTA's are gonna be like IV, only improved.

i simply love it, some of the things i missed was when you can build yourself respect, body, and fat in SA the girlfriend feature thing was surely improved, i was annoyed by the old one in SA. but now i can call 'em myself and not bothered when i'm doing missions, cruising around and when i get chased by the police. i thought i was going to hate the girlfriend feature again, but i guess it's allright now too bad they can't have hot coffee, because the graphic is very good now the mission in my opinion was awesome and very realistic, not film-like anymore. in SA and VC, there are so many missions that are exaggerrating the character's ability, like when you jump from an exploding plane in SA(which was very james bond-like, there's no way anyone who never use a parachute can jump without hesitation) or like in VC when Tommy solo kill all sonny's men without any help or cover(just like scarface) messing around like what MikeyJamJams said was also the thing i miss very much, the cops are like in NFS most wanted, only they can shoot you! i always struggle to get out of police attention now instead of shooting them with with launchers and steal their tanks(well at least their patriot now) which was my favorite thing when i got bored of missions in previous GTA's i kinda hoping that there would be empire business thing feature like in VCS, well i guess next time huh? that was it, the other things are as awesome as the missions

how do you kill her anyway? with a gun or what? maybe there's a chance that she's not dead and probably return in the next series changing her name or something is this happening to everybody?
