ok, to be able to edit text, you need some text to edit. Open your GTA directory, Goto text and untick the "read only" box in the properties next move it from the text folder to your desktop oPen the gxt editor and click open then find your american file

OK i finally got the IPL helper working the other day (the one where you can place weps and cars onto the map) and i created some files but now i have them i dunno what to do with them. I've added them into the user directory and all the files in the GTA:SA directory folder! So please someone tell me where i put them so they work in the game. OR Do i hve to have the IPL editor running and then start up SA? I'm really stuck/unsure on this one so please help i'm begging! Also how do i add new gun sounds into the game Thanks if you can help! ~RaDi0N~

i'll try, again, but my FRAPS keeps lagging my game up and freezing it also yes i know i did it in a six wheeled dune, BUT there have been no handling alterations, I also did the same on/in an NRG-500 so i'll try FRAPS again later
