  1. MAF (Mass Air Flow) is the one you may or may not have, depending on the type of FI you have. The MAF tells the computer how exactly much air is coming into the intake, so the fuel mix is more accurate. Older Fords (like an '86 Tempo) didn't use them. It'll look similar to this - http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/mafp1.jpg
  2. Enough talk, here's cars, More to come as I clean them up.
  3. Agreed, if done right. It'll be a good first for the GTA series.
  4. If it's the one I'm thinking, it rocks! Also get a player position tool, you'll be able to set the XYZ co-ords of cars you place.
  5. This one - http://www.modele.sklep.pl/images/bmw%20m1..._resizeduzy.jpg
  6. Post #16 Car in back looks more like a '60 Buick. The Sabre (so far ) is based on a '72 Olds cutlass. http://www.geocities.com/smokymtnoldsclub/..._72_Cutlass.jpg EDIT: Supposed to be '60s Buick.
  7. Doesn't matter, 5.4 cobra motor fits just as well in either one. OH NO HE DIDN'T!!! I've always liked the BMW M1.
  8. ^ It's the ROCKET RANGERS!! Saving the day with reckless disregard! I take it Crackdown was worth the money.
  9. Multi Player, read somewhere they would have limited multi player, just nothing like Halo.
  10. Will they? Don't know? But on the other hand, R* did confirm limited MP. Should they? I think so, it'd be nice to get new missions & cars, update the soundtrack Things like that.
  11. Yes, you need a model of the interior (already in game), the XYZ co-ordinates, and a feature called an ENEX (entrance/exit), the bouncing yellow arrow. Look at MAP mods in the download section, & get a feel for how they work. They are IPL edits so notepad can open them. Look for mods by Superdario. I've seen some of these w/ ENEXs. ENEX can also be placed w/ scriptmods. There's one called "Hidden Interiors", I think it includes Ryder's house, but warns of messing w/ missions. Good Luck. EDIT: BTW, welcome. If you haven't already, look over the forum rules & the general layout.
  12. Vincent Valentine - Your brother might think he's looking out for you, but if you're old enough to worry about college, you should be able to think for yourself. Your brother needs to quit being an ass.
  13. Greetings from another new guy.

  14. You should have no problem backing up your files, just make sure they work first. The main ones you want are your DATA folder & GTA3.IMG (GTA3 is the default name used for the file that contains all the models in all the GTAs since GTA3). All you need to do is make a new folded (in the SA directory is fine) & name it BACKUP or something like that. Copy the files you want to edit into it & you're set. In fact, it's strongly recommended. I can't tell you much about mod installers, I do mine manually. Good Luck.
  15. "Hot Coffee" was in SA from the beginning, the code is even the PS2 & X-Box versions. When it came out on PC some playing around w/ the save files (I think PatrickW) found a bit that turned it on & made a utility to access this. There's a also savefile editor that can turn it on/off as well as adjust your money, weapons inventory, etc. R*/Take 2 decided at the last minute HC might be too controversial at the last minute & simply locked it out. Totally removing it would affect too many other parts of the game. When it all came up, they ended up pulling the game so they could re-work it to avoid a lawsuit & fines (failure to notify the ratings board over hidden content). This link is older, but should help clear up. http://pc.ign.com/articles/711/711796p1.html
  16. Sex games aren't banned here. Nobody wants to get sued for selling them to a dumbass who can't read a box. Like the little old woman in NJ who got SA for her grandson (age 14). Then she walks in on the kid playing after he unlocked the "Hot Coffee" feature & freaked (let me guess, CJ & a white girl. GET OVER IT!!!). What part of "MA" rating says give this game to kids? Granted I let my 12-year-old play SA, but it's w/ my direct supervision. For those who didn't know the story, that's the reason for GTASA version 2. And now Grampa will get off his soapbox....
  17. I think Gycu Brun is on the right track, these quotes (if accurate) indicate the "someone special" is old unfinished business.
  18. MAP is Manifold Absolute pressure. It's a small box (between a Zippo & a pac of cigarettes in size) on the firewall (of my old '87). http://www.kemparts.com/TechTalk/145-205.gif It tells the computer how much vacuum (or pressure on a turbo or SC) is inside the intake manifold. Should have a single vacuum line & a couple of wires.
  19. The first Amendment works again. Nice to get something useful after putting up w/ all the retard politicians. Can I get a "HELL YEAH!"
  20. I think I like the way you think.

  21. This was literally one mile from my house. Now if decent bands would just show up for their dates.
  22. I wish Gran Turismo played MP3s, it's a good soundtrack but it gets old. Still tuning my reward cars. The Toyota Tundra handled surprisingly well in the Paris Rally (normal). Poor Lancer didn't stand a chance.
