If you have a VC icon on your desktop, place your cursor over it & a small window should pop up telling you the path (location) of where VC is installed. I'm using XP, not sure about other versions. I ran into problems because my game is heavily modded & will have to re-install before I can get in.

On the other hand, VC's MODELS folder alone is well over half a gig (don't have exact size, mine is full of high-res cars & well over a full gig). SA MODELS folder (stock) is just over 1.1 gig. I don't have a PSP, what is the capacity of the UMD?

Just a point of curiosity, but why? I've yet to hear anything good about Vista anywhere, John Dvorak (OLD school computer expert) ripped MS for Vista in the Nov '07 issue of PC magazine (Vista Death Watch, link below). The Sandking from VC/SA. I liked it in VC. but in SA it started showing up w/ hydraulics & as much as I don't care for lowriders (what's the point of having a car that only do 20 or so MPH on public roads before it tears itself up?) it was kinda cool, looked like a Monster & climbed over things.

Got connection back up, printer is still fubar but the card reader works. By popular demand, East meets West - My AK (upper) & AR-15 (lower). Both semi-auto. The AK was marked "SLR" (Self Loading Rifle) to get around an assault rifle ban in the early '90s, just a basic AK-47 fitted w/ a thumbhole stock since the ban applied to "pistol grip" weapons. Since it was listed as a SLR instead of an AK, it got right in. The milled receiver accepts all AK magazines including the 75 round drum I have in storage & it fires the standard 7.62x39 "Warsaw pact" round, bought cheaply at any sporting goods or gun store. I think Wal Mart even stocks them. Quick search found 200 rounds of Wolf mil spec ammo on SKS "stripper" clips for $22. The ban has since expired & was not renewed. Bought New in box for $450, low price at the time for an AK. The AR is a PWA (aftermarket) lower receiver & a mil spec E-2 upper & pretty much self explanatory. It has a forward assist (button just behind the ejection port) to help push the bolt into position then it's dirty, the main cause of jamming when it was first issued, a simple but effective solution. The 5.56 NATO round is ballistically & dimensionally identical to the civilian .223, the primary difference being that the 5.56 is discolored at the neck from heat treating to soften the case & prevent case seperation (wher the neck is torn off the case as it's ejected), at beat resulting in a jamb & worst the next round chambering & blowing out the chamber from the obstruction. A box of 20 rounds is currently about $10 at Cabela's (Winchester 55 gr.). Domestically produced ammo is more expensive. Bought new for $750 during ban, again low for the time. For the blade fans, here's may Batl'eth (spelling?) w/ the AR for size comparison.

Close, If the mod is based on copyrighted material you may have a problem, but Ford, VW & the other car manufactures have better things to do than chase after royalties from free mods for video games. In fact, it works to their advantage as free advertising of their cars & they're not in the position of having to defend licensing their cars to a game like GTA. George Lucas came out & gave blanket permission to base mods on Star Wars last year (article in Game Informer, I think. On the other hand, Fox cried foul when people started making Unreal Tournament skins based on the series "Firefly". That part is still a little grey. Just FYI. As for the crashing issue, get a legal copy. They're not expensive. Surprised this hasn't been closed.

Unfinished ending - Most games don't have much replay value when you finish them, they just end up sitting on a shelf or worse, go into the used game market (GASP!) where the makers don't make any money. The open endings leave the chance of downloadable content which developers may or may not charge for. Even as a freebie, it encourages people to hang onto their finished games (in the hope of playing new DLC) meaning fewer used copies & people wanting to play have to buy a new one. Even though the price is only $20 or so at Wal Mart, they still make something off it. One thing I never liked about GTA is that you could only fire SMG class weapons from cars & onlu straight out the sides (or straight forward on bikes). By rights you should be able to use most of your weapons & have free aim from your car. FLAMETHROWER DRIVE-BY FTW!!!

Right click on GTA3.IMG, go into PROPERTIES & make sure READ ONLY is off. I've heard that one before & I think that was the cure. Good luck.
