GTA: Knight Rider

Knight Rider made a huge impact when it blasted onto television in 1982 and ran for four seasons until 1985. It is one of the most famous shows from the 80's and is still popular with audiences today. Now, Knight Rider is coming back with a new movie, a new series and now, a mod for one of todays biggest games, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Planned features include

K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand) with:

Molecular Bonded Shell - Almost indestructible

Pyroclastic Lamination - Fireproof Body

Turbo Boost - Allows KITT to jump

Normal Cruise, Auto Cruise, Pursuit Mode and Super Pursuit Mode

Smoke Screen

Flame Thrower

High Traction Drop Downs - Hydraulic Suspension

Traction Spikes - Allows KITT to travel up steep inclines

Microwave Jammer - Allows KITT to stop cars

V0.1a Released!

not much yet. just KITT, KARR, KIFT, SPM KITT, Knight 3000, Knight 3000 Attack, GMC General (FLAG Semi Cab), FLAG Semi Trailer, Goliath and Goliath's Trailer. All these vehicles can be found parked at the Verdant Meadows Air Strip. You can also spawn KITT, KIFT, KARR and Knight 3000 by pressing crouch © and sprint (space) at the same time.

This is a REALLY early beta so dont expect anything special. Second release will have many many more features so dont let this release put you off. This is only to satisfy those people who really cant wait for the next release.

IMPORTANT! i messed a file up in the installer. you gotta install this patch or it will crash

I just tried the 0.2 version out and it's great. Couple of things though - "To activate pursuit mode in KITT (all versions), KARR and KIFT, use the submission command (ctrl key by default)." = doesn't work, I can't find what the "submission command" is?

Also the SPM car really needs slowing down, it's stupidly fast and uncontrollable and just takes off, literally, if not on a level piece of ground.

SPM is controllable with practice. and to find what submission is, look in the controls section in the options menu

Downloading now ^_^ I found KITT in BTTF mod (still cant find the skateboard thou) look forward to seeing this in SA

One Idea I had was if KITT could change colours while driving (black to silver) and evade the police that way (maybe if it had a recharge time so you could only use it one after a certain time period

Maaaan, K.I.T.T. i am in heaven. You just don't know. 0.2b is the isssshhhht....off the chain. Only thing is, the missions are all off/completed. I used my savegame editor to try and set them to none finished to no avail, so of course i figured then it had to be the main.scm.....and was worried that the magnificent cars' awesome functionality would be gone....

When I replaced the main.scm with another one from another mod i had (don't remember which, i got tonz) the missions were back, of course, but no moving scanners, and no hotkey-car spawn action. :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: Any suggestions? I opened up your main.scm for a look and I might as well sit in on brain surgery(no) man I'll PAY you hook me up PLEASE! btw... I tried to join the mod site, mod site forums, and email you. all seemed broken. I Looooves me some GTA though so i shoulda been a member here anyway. All good. I love you unhealthily for this mod.

well most of the features will work without the SCM but it does contain the car spawner, i dont really remember what else i left out of there. the scanners should still work though they have nothing to do with code. but in 0.2b some of the scanners dont work anyway, cause theres a problem with the models i hadnt fixed yet. as for the forums, i'll have a look, you shoul be able to join. what happened when you tried to join? as for email i try to reply to all questions i receive but i get so many sometimes i just skip over them.

KITT, i think you messed up the SAMI script on 0.2b. it says ''C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\\\\gta_sa.exe cannot be created''

then i tried installing it, but the the swishing lights on all the cars dont work..... :thumbsdown: any help???
