Spaz The Great
Ahh, ok. I signed up, even made a post and a new topic. You should add descriptions of the forums though, it's easier to know what to post where that way.

Spaz The Great
Unfortunately the forums are having trouble and there's now no members or anything, but I made a backup 5 hours ago which I'll restore tommorow Fix it. Fix it now. Luckily I haven't done anything there since like 3 a.m., so I should be fine. We need an emoticon for a sigh of relief.
mvi
I can't fix it now, It's on my school server, which I no longer can access from the interent (damn password changers). I'll restore the mysql tommorow, when I'm back
chris82
Everyone please join MVI's forums. We are installing the Mambo server which will make everything cool. Also, we have tons of emoticons and three skins. C'mon. You'll love it.
Bryzed
Mambo sucks, plz dont install it, it will gently caress up everthing, your will to have a site will dissapear, that program sucks, believe me ive tried
chris82
Mambo doesn't suck, it rules. It makes it easy to put stuff on the site, and it looks professional. GTA Nation is an example of a site with a Mambo server.
mvi
Mambo is good, and it looks qite proffesional with an easy sytem to use
Chris
GTA-Nation is a useless site, the news they post has absolutely no relevance to GTA whatsoever, it's just actingbiz rambling on about his acting career, or about computer software, or something like that. There is also no content on there at all, so anybody wanting to learn about GTA will leave immediately, which is why they aren't too popular, not to mention the accusations of content stealing that went on not too long ago. actingbiz also demonstrates his ineptitude by admitting he is unable to install mods for IPB. "If any staff member knows PHP code- or how to install/fix IPB mods, please inform me so that I may give you information." Being a webmaster it is imperative you can read a readme, thats all there is to installing a mod, just read the readme. How can you not be able to do that? IMHO, all CMS's suck. Unless you write your own that is. See most CMS' have tons of useless features that nobody ever uses, and the more features the more susceptible it becomes to hacking. That's why the majority of phpnuke users have to install security patches every week. Writing your own CMS is better, since you only put in the features you require, and you can make sure it's secure easier since your doing all the coding yourself. mvi
Even I can install a mod (as long as it's not IB Shop) And I'm editing Mambo myself so... Including my bloody hard to hack system will be added, which is five times harder to hack than a normal user and pass
