Tomern
The games for windows Live will be great because it's free and will allow us to play with XBOX 360 players
chris82
The games for windows Live will be great because it's free Yes. and will allow us to play with XBOX 360 players No. We get additional multiplayer content. Plus the fact that it uses Steam too, I don't see this happening.
Urbanoutlaw
Any word yet on specs?
JustADummy
I don't think so, if Rockstar announces them, then it's most likely that they appear on the official site like previous GTA's.
GTA Don
Nah, they'll probably come when the gaming sites (IGN etc.) get to preview the game. Minimum: Operating system: Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Higher CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E4500 / AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 4400+ Video card: ATI Radeon™ X1650 / NVIDIA® GeForce 7300GT with 256MB VRAM or higher Memory: 1GB (1.5GB for Windows Vista) 8X speed DVD-ROM Recommended: Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 or Higher CPU: AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 5000+ / Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8190 Video card: ATI Radeon™ HD 3650 / NVIDIA® GeForce 8600GT with 256MB VRAM or higher Memory: 2GB 16X speed DVD-ROM or Windows 2000/XP/Vista Intel Core2Duo E4600 / AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 1GB of RAM (Windows 2000/XP)/2GB of RAM (Windows Vista) nVidia 8xxx series/ATi 28xx/38xx series They're not real, just my guess and Chris82 for the second one. Mine are really specific, but Chris82's are probably really closer.
JustADummy
What about HDD Space?
Urbanoutlaw
Just skimmed through another topic that has predicted specs, but thanks for taking a minute. So it looks like I need a better chip & video, I was planning on an upgrade anyway. After playing the X360 version I would guess the HD requirement would be a little bigger than SA. Smaller map but more high res textures & better models. I would guess 5-8 gig depending on how much you install. SA requires 3.6 for minimum install. Chris
6.8GB at least for hard drive space, maybe 7. Assuming we have the option to not install the radio stations that may be cut down by a gig or so. We'll say 8GB to be on the safe side.

MrLlamaLlama
Logitech g-15 = waste of money. You get a screen that tells you server info? you don't need that shit. Stick with a g11, IMO.
GTA Don
Haha, I was going to get a G11 earlier, they both look the same anyways. I'll probably get a G11 now. Any tips on what to upgrade/downgrade?
MrLlamaLlama
Apart from asking what mobo you're going to get? You'll need one with AM2 (possibly am2+) platform, and crossfire support.
GTA Don
ASUS M2R32-MVP AM2 AMD 580X CrossFire ATX. I've heard that some ASUS mobos tend to fail a lot so I'm not sure.
chris82
ASUS motherboards are fine, also DON'T GET A G11 IF YOU THINK THE G15 ONLY DISPLAYS SERVER INFO, it's a piece of shit, you realize the G15's screen can also tell you what song is playing in Winamp/iTunes/whatever, let you see IMs/chats/Ventrilo/whatnot as well. GTA Don
Oh my gawd, on one hand the G11 is cheaper, on the other hand the G15 has that nice screen that tells you stuff and is better but also 15 quid more expensive. Meh, guess I could sacrifice that £15. And just when I was saving for a new foot!

Most of us, though, have ears and know which song's playing anyway. Plus you only need the IM features if you're in a game, in which case you'd use xfire/steam... if you weren't ingame you just llok at your screen. Maybe some people download ungodly amounts of music and wouldn't know what song is playing...in any case it's nice to see it. And by IM features I meant real IM...as in AIM/MSN/Yahoo/etc....and who the fuck still uses Xfire lol?
