Vercetti Thug
Conficker has not, of course, been detonated yet and the disaster of April 1st turns out to be nothing more than a prank. However, this only means that the brains behind Conficker has their thumb on the activation button and some computers are already under his/her/their control. Conficker could be activated at any time, and it is a very real virus. On April 1st, the virus was reported to have been made stronger and more elusive t to detect. A quick way to check is to try to go to Mcaffee.com and see if you can get in, but getting in doesnt mean your safe. Conficker is a very real virus, and it could be activated in the very near future. In fact, in only a matter of days, I wouldn't be surprised if it did activate. After all, if we let our guard down a tad and people don't apply the microsoft patch, then Conficker can get into the system and set a new date. Of course, if Conficker isn't activated in the near future, systems might start detecting it.
Spaz The Great
I love how you preach about how real it is, even though you technically have NO idea.
Huckleberry Pie
The only thing to combat this Conficker crap: NEVER panic, think positive, and take good care of your system as much as you can. Update your system software, check your virus definitions, and lurk before you leap. Crying over a computer worm won't do anything good, you know. Chris
ROFL. I just read what he wrote. "Lurk before you leap". So basically, hang around for a bit then randomly leap into it.
MeZaMe YuMe_MoMoKu
And also, don't use faked or pirated Microsoft systems.
Huckleberry Pie
And also, don't use faked or pirated Microsoft systems. If you can't afford it, either get a job, or better yet, use Linux, and free yourself from all of that licensing and activation crap... That is, if you can bear with the technicalities... NINJA EDIT: Conficker is...fail! Edited April 2, 2009 by Huckleberry Pie
