EvoLuTioN
Get the latest Windows and Anti virus updates, Scan your system. Keep Resident sheild on if you're using AVG, Should block all the activities for it.

Huckleberry Pie
Your Firefox install was probably jacked by that worm; back up your bookmarks first and then try reinstalling it.
Damjan
No wonder you've been infected, you use NOD and Eset Stupid security.
Alvas.
@Huck - Thanks I'll try reinstalling it. @Steam - You can't call ESET Stupid it has saved me a beacon of times. EDIT - Thanks HK You helped me fix it ! Edited September 12, 2009 by Eazy.
JustADummy
Though ESET has always been way worse than Avira/BitDefender/Kaspersky. For me they always sucked, their Internet Security's never protected me decently. I switched to Kaspersky and I was fine, but now I have Kaspersky 7 which support is going to end because it's the only one I have "valid keys" for. Alvas.
My above comment was not because I liked ESET ( I am soon going to switch to AVAST/No Kapersky because it slows down when I play FIFA09) but because Steam always flames anyone who doesn't use Kaspersky since he is a fanboy of KASPERSKY. Chris
LOL. Unlucky. But, how did he/she get it though, do you know? I only ask because I'm genuinely interested in how you get a virus these days. Sure I could intentionally go to dodgy porn websites and download FreePr0ns.exe but why would I? Mpilk901
I don't think I've ever gotten a virus. If I have it's one of those ones that's just lame and annoys you by, I don't know, something like making a program ask if you want to shut it down. Stuff that isn't really a concern. But the last time I probably got one of those anyway was ages ago. It seems pretty hard to get a virus for me.
EvoLuTioN
I got infected when I sent the tower to the store to get the new GPU installed in Jan March. When it came back AVG was uninstalled and I had a trial version of Norton installed, sooo like a normal person I uninstall that and put in AVG and BAM!! Resident shield detects a conficker/s... JustADummy
lmao, Norton doesn't even detect Eicar, me thinks. So, yes, it sucks since-ever it started.
Alvas.
LOL.Norton is stupid. Why did you even use it ? @Chris - He said he got infected when he tried out a genuine hack for vista ( to make it genuine).
JustADummy
I don't use Norton. But I used to back in 2000/2003 and that was just my thought, as it's so crappy I don't think it detects Eicar.
Alvas.
I never used Norton. I used Mcafee 3-4 years first. I installed norton since I thought it was better, it gave me alerts for no reason.
JustADummy
I'm gonna say my AV order exactly: McAfee Norton AVG Norton McAfee BitDefender Kaspersky BitDefender Kaspersky BitDefender Kaspersky ZoneAlarm Kaspersky Bitdefender Kaspersky Zonealarm (Present). WRX22B1998
lol im gonna jump on the bandwagon of bashing norton norton sucks lol. but yeah it actually does. the last one i remember we had was norton systemworks 2003. that just made the computer so slow! especially only 256mb ram. it was shite. since we got rid of that we've had avg free and no problems ever. our antivirus order VET (its called CA now) -> Norton (briefly) -> AVG. Alvas.
@Spide - LOL. Why did you repeat usage of the same anti-virus(es)again and again(Bitdefender and kaspersky). I am installing Kaspersky right away.
