MrLanceVanceDance
So guys, who do you think is the better film director? James Cameron or Steven Spielberg?
Chris
Spielberg. But Spielberg's got 50 directing credits to his name while Cameron only has 20. Also, Spielberg's been pretty shit over the last few years for me. His last good film was Munich (2005). He seems to mainly produce these days. As for Cameron, the Terminator franchise is my favourite thing he's done, as well as Aliens. Avatar was pretty awesome too, but aside from these I can't say I'm really a fan of much of his other stuff - so yeah I vote Spielberg. Bring on Jurassic Park IV! Spaz The Great
Bring on Jurassic Park IV! I assume you understand it's in the works? They are both good directors, and have some great works under their belts..... But... They both need to chillax for a bit and quit trying to pump them out. They are starting a slip a little bit. COME ON, TITANIC 3D? NECESSARY? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

COME ON, TITANIC 3D? NECESSARY? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Titanic 1D wasn't necessary in the first place. Every night in my dreams I pretend that film doesn't exist. Chris
Yeah Spaz hence me mentioning it, I'm looking forward to it a lot actually, just hoping they don't fuck it up. I'd like to think it's being made for the fans out of love for the franchise... but chances are it's all about the money so may end up sucking... who knows... we'll see. I hope they don't mess up the film too badly. The film should be more about the fans than the money, as there would be no "Jurassic Park film franchise" without the fans. No franchise is complete without fans.
Spaz The Great
Well, the SECOND movie was the last one based on a book, and the FUNNY PART is that the second book was ONLY written so they could make a movie out of it. True story.
MrLanceVanceDance
Another true fact: only one scene from the second book is actually used in the film, so basically, it was unnecessary for Michael Crichton to write "The Lost World". MrLanceVanceDance
I have gotta admit, out of all of James Cameron's good films, Titanic was the one I least liked. The Terminator and Avatar, man they were good! Edited February 2, 2012 by MrLanceVanceDance
BlackListedB
I'm voting for James, and so far, one vote only for Mr. TERMINATOR?!? Alright, you're Terminated, f**ker!! Cameron's ground breaking film led to more groundbreaking with T2, which ushered in some advancement in digital film wizardry, and Titanic shows his adept homework in the work, going far beyond most directors with his REAL research into the actual ship and it's history Aside from that, Avatar was also a technical marvel in many ways, but I take you back to Abyss for the kind of underwater filming that helped make all these possible For Spielberg, I think the STORY is the thing, I was just watching him talk about film in interviews on YouTube, he feels he has no STYLE to imprint on film-making, but I would tend to disagree, albeit, marginally so I grew up watching his films as well, and they're both A-list directors, no question Don't forget TRUE LIES, love that film as well!!
