JOYA
Has anyone ever beaten Vice City 100% on computer? I'm convinced it is impossible.
tommy vercetti guy
Err. 100% gamesaves are avaliable at any GTA fansite. There's one right here
JOYA
Ok, but how is it possible? For things like the dirt ring event at the stadium, can you actually complete that using a keyboard? I imagine you would need one of the special playstation controllers for computer. Rashon.
Well, people have done it. Some people are more used to playing GTA games on a PC than on a PS2.
Dark Lord
I have compleated it 100%. Yeah

But then I've reinstalled Windows and my save was gone forever
JOYA
Wow, that's pretty impressive, I might go for 100% now, instead of just beating the story. I'm used to the PS controls, so it will be difficult.

But how can it be easier? What's the difference?
JOYA
It's easier because the controls are more accurate. There is pressure sensitive acceleration/braking etc, and the joysticks are more exact for steering.
Yellowcard
Sounds cool. I should get a controller. They're so cheap.
QuickDeath
Some people are more used to playing GTA games on a PC than on a PS2. Yeah, people like me , PS controllers seems a bit odd after playing GTA on computer. 100% in VC - not a big deal for a true GTA fan
Yellowcard
100% in VC - not a big deal for a true GTA fan Yeah. But collecting hidden packages without a package map is quite exhausting.

Definitely agree with that! But playing VC for a long time and not seeking packages u will find them anyway, eventually

However, I have the joystick for planes. And that's all I use it for. But the keyboard+mouse combination pwns when it comes to shooters and strategies. Most definetely. JOYA
Yeah, for me driving and flying are easier with a PS controller. And shooting is easier with a keyboard because you can strafe and put the aiming cursor exactly where you want it.
MrLlamaLlama
Keyboard&mouse pwns gamepads to hell! Mice are much better for aiming, so much less clumsy and keyboards can be configured so you can use whatever keys you are comfortable with (I<3 WASD lol) , and i find missions on GTA on the PC so easy whilst my mates get frustrated on PS lol. Anywhoo, back ln topic , i have completed VC 100% on pc, as QD said, it's easier IMO to just wait until you stumble upon them than to use a map... Yellowcard
keyboards can be configured so you can use whatever keys you are comfortable with Can't you configure controller buttons? I was sure you can. I have a steering wheel. I can configure that. it's easier IMO to just wait until you stumble upon them than to use a map... How come? That would take ages to stumble on all 100 of them. Map would take few hours.
JOYA
Yeah, you can configure controller buttons, I find I don't need to. I used a map to find the packages on VC. You can just alt tab to see the map.
Slayer
Yeah, I've used the map too. I cba to look for every package for hours. Although I got all rampages and about 80 hidden packages before I've used the map to get the remaining 20.
Dazza
Dude its easy on the computer......i always use the keyboard for them......but i got a game pad and it was just as easy......some people just arnt good at computer
Timmy Vermicceli
I remember in my good ole ps2 days I got something like 110% in GTAVC, with an Action Replay cheat disk of course. I started out a new game with a 100 Hidden Packages already collected, and by the time I completed the whole game, side missions and all, I had that much %. For some reason that doesnt work on the PC version though...well, as far as I know.
JOYA
lol, 110%, thats awesome. I remember a friend of mine had a cheat disc, it gave him 100 hidden packages. When you actually found another package it would say 'Hidden package 101 of 100 found'. It was pretty funny.
Juggernaut
Of course it is possible but its very hard...I managed to complete it 94-96%(cant remember). I used a map for hidden packages. But I couldnt won all the races...
Slayer
The races are very easy to win. Just blow up your opponents at the start and viola! All you have to do is finish the race.
