Regardless, it's STILL hardly based on "The Sims" because The Sims is way more than any of those pre-existing families. Now, if in this movie I could kill of characters at will, make new families, make them hate each other, download new objects, etc, then I'd be all for it. Unfortunately, that isn't exactly a possibility.

Why the hell do you have to compare the past with today? That was years ago? Today is different! Stop saying those things people!!!! Anything can happen.... If you pay close attention to technology and innovative inventions, you'll notice a funny trend. Stronger/faster/harder/bigger/etc. doesn't always win, and it doesn't always mean better.

I'm not assuming anything about the movie except that the idea is fucking whack. It is just really odd, and IMO the main reason they'd say it was based on The Sims was for the sake of money. I understand there is a "main family", but what I meant was a main character or characters that you HAD to play as through the game. And I understand the family has a story and a plot behind them, but it's rather retarded and unrealistic.... Not in the sense that most movies are, but in the sense that it's just outrageous. And by 'rake-in money', I mean it isn't a movie with a meaning to it, it doesn't give us a life lesson, it isn't even really just for the sake of making a movie. It's just for the sake of making money. Fake, cartoony-world, odd-ball events styled Sims converted to real life people playing in a real movie just doesn't seem like it would work. At all.

Ummm, the only time the PS3 was hard to find was on RELEASE day. After that, you could find one anywhere. I don't remember the 360 release being like that. Yes it is for the PC, but why not check online while your in your PS3? Its very easy to use. And I think its a nice feature to have, few people don't have PC's so the PS3 can be another way of getting them Online. How many people have INTERNET ACCESS but NOT a PC? Riiiight..... I call major BS.

Are you sure you don't mean WiiFit? With the new Wii Balance Board? WiiWare is for developers to create their own downloadable Wii games to put in the shop channel and was announced like a month ago.

Who said it would just be about Bella??? I just gave that as an example. So I don't see where you're coming from. The point is, there is not a main family in The Sims, there isn't a main chain of events you HAVE to do. The Sims is so open-ended that making a game based on it wouldn't actually be much of a game based on it.... It seems more-so like an attempt to rake in money. You could even do a GTA movie and it would make sense, because to progress there are certain things you have to do that don't involve eating enough and making sure you sleep.
