Hahah i forgot about retro games yeah i loved the sonic games on sega they had a "sega world" thing in sydney. like a theme park sorta, but its indoors, and its all sega characters and theres a few rides, but mainly tons of arcade games etc. it closed down in like 2001 the building is still there, i think they use it for raves now LOL

I liked VCS better, half cause of I really like the setting (Vice City) and the other half cos ummm. I never had LCS on psp, but i did get on ps2. vice city stories is good cos of the missions (fun) and the empire building thing (fun) and...helicopters and planes and shit... if you havent played both, play both. I think that you should play both, then make your own choice. You could probably pick em both up for psp for like $60 or whatever... I would get em on PSP though, on PS2 it looks dodgy (graphics look average) and theres no multiplayer.

I liked the number next to health / armour, i think its better. When i first played gta4 at a friends house, he wasnt in the room at the time, and im like uhh wheres the health! then saw something near the radar blinking and im like.."ohhhhh!" . i dont really like that though. san andreas health system was dumb. vcs/lcs actually wasnt too bad, just a small bar. i like the numbered health then lcs type then san andreas type then gta4 type... the whole falling out of a car when you crash is also really dumb, he should be able to wear a seatbelt! LOL. oh and i noticed that the cars actually indicate when they're turning, that is dumb imo.

lolz guitar hero is pretty fun. bejeweled..well..not much to say on that cod4, i mean..they made a awesome game with it now they wanna go back to WW2!!! ffs! why dammit! talk about dum

number 2 of course! well 2 3870's will definitely be better than 1x 9600gt Q9400 has more L2 cache (and 45nm process i think) compared to 6600 so it will be better... 3gb of ram is better than 2? and 1tb of storage is better than 500gb... sorta a dumb question LOL! no offence or anything... :S

how in fucks name did you start safe mode with msconfig? you mean diagnostic startup? system restore IS a waste of time if you got a virus, it usually gets in there too. (you will get a virus, then sys restore will "image" your drive...which has virus on it yeah, you coulda done that :S get spybot and leave the resident thing running. its really really good.

hmmmm me thinks i will get a ps3 instead, cos its abit cheaper bloody pc part prices have skyrocketed here (core 2 e8400 was 200, now 260) cos of exchange rate of course. ps3 will still be like $700...and will always work on these games no matter what until ps4? heh

aha yeah viruses are a pain in the ass whats more a pain is trying to reformat with a fucked hard drive!! (when you have no idea, and the drive shows no physical sign..happened at work) download spybot and avg free if you havent already, and boot in safe mode (keep slamming f8 when u turn the com on), choose safe mode at the menu. scan entire system with both (and wif latest updates), then remove all thats possible. if it says it needs to restart if that doesnt work, yeah compmgmt.msc, but...if i were you. write down the hardware exactly whta you have. and if you have a XP disc, then download all the drivers you need, burn to cd, then reformat and start fresh. your comp will thank you for it! LOL. also, go to run and type: cmd. then type in command prompt: "chkdsk /f" it will whinge about unable to dismount etc, then you just need to reset your pc (restart, not turn off/on) and it will scan and fix anything bad with the file system / MFT etc. or you can remove hd and put in USB enclosure etc, but that is only useful if you have a friend close by with spare sata/ide port etc...(when i plugged this laptop drive into a ide port, it bloody sparked and smoked!! and yes i was using the right way etc, my boss checked) we were both like omg wtf! /rant

looky heres the topic i made asking the same q. summary here... pros of xbox: cheaper, bigger selection of games (beware not all are decent), media streaming really easy if you have windows mce xp, or vista home premium, xbox live (only played it once, played ps3 online, i honestly dont see a difference, but i know il get yelled at if i dont put ), plug n play support for alot of mp3 (iPod!) without any additional software. pros of ps3: inbuilt bluray (for all ur hd movies etc), i like the controller much more than 360's control (opinion i know), no known hardware failures/faults, hdmi, component and composite on all, connect PSP to it, media streaming etc con of xbox: pay for online, rrod , bulky control (awkward imo), no 1080p support, only get HDMI out on top model (elite) con of ps3: cost, no ps2 compatibility (if you get 40gb or 80gb vers), hard to mod if you wanted to , lack of games heheh. im not sure if this is a ps3 specific but: if you plug a USB external hdd, you need to partition it in like 40gb partitions or something? i heard...maybe they fixed it in a firmware update, i heard of this problem like this time last year, im sure they did something about it. LOL i just noticed the previous post hehehhe...ah well, then yeah. its better if your not paying eh as for RRoD though, im sure they fixed that prob, if you get it on a new one, something is definitely wrong. /essay

i thought that the 9600GT is uhh..a 9600gt ? not a 8800gts 8800gtx >8800gts > 8800gt > 9600gt ... isnt it? just in raw power not price/performance or anything. good it will work on XP iam sick of vista and its problems, dont tell me off, i have been fixing vista computers all this week, they cause nothing but unnecessary issues... i had less trouble connecting a mac OSX to a windows based active directory domain (server 03) than vista! (home premium that is...dont tell me "its cos it cant connect to domain, thats obvious, but you gotta work with what your given, some scripts fixes that easy)

in aus if you are a cheapo people smoke Winfield Blue (or red if your weird) i dont smoke though, this is just what i find around the place. (eg litter)..they are popular. benson&hedges is popular too...

yeah the whole DS gta ... drug dealings lol in the previous games (afaik, dunno bout gta4 havent played), you dont actively deal drugs. oh woops lol except the "icecream" mission. but, the child wont know (cept they may wonder why the cops are chasing you for selling icecream...awkkkward! LOL).... uh for vice city...man i dunno. its really not meant for kids, as others had said. a open world kids friendly game i recon..NFSU2 (need for speed underground 2), that has a big open world, and yeah. no damage, nothin else like that. and it'd be a bargain these days, in USA it wouldnt be more than $20, same for australia shouldnt be any more than $30...if you can run vice city, you should be able to run nfsu2, but lower settings...unless you have a really high powered system etc...im sure you get what i mean so my recomendation for a open-world driving is need for speed underground 2...or carbon? or need for speed most wanted...not prostreet lol, no freeroam. sorta offtopic but how old is your child? just it'd be better to know so we can gauge how complex the game needs to be (eg just press go, or steering etc, or nos + manual etc etc...)
