I noticed this the first time I saw the trailer. I didn't think much of it, because the game still wasn't finished, and the graphics still could have had bugs. I wouldn't worry about it now. The game is done, and I bet its been fixed.

dude. just got my game to work again. it was the user files. delete them. gta_sa.set (not the save games) If that doesn't help, it'll definately be a mod problem. if all else fails, re-install.

i think something similar happened to me once. mine kept crashing during a loading screen. it was a mod (the yamaha R1 bike or something...) i uninstalled it and it worked (for a while... http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16361 ) I'm on Vista too. I dont think that has anything to do with it, though. try removing the files in the user data folder. not the saves or mp3's, just the others. there is one particular file in the save games folder that i would try deleting. gta_sa.set .

Fakest thing i've ever seen! the dude has just pasted the cover art on another game's manual, the disc is a crap fake. even the front cover looks like its been printed on normal paper from an inkjet. as soon as i saw the fuzzy camerawork i knew it was fake.

here's another question. if the police ai is improved so much, (and yes, i know it is, i'm just posing a question..), would the cops chase you for something like speeding? and would this be a good thing?

I'm sure many of you have noticed this. I was just playing LCS (Chicken suit lol) walking through chinatown. a group of triads started shooting at me. i started punching them and attracted the attention of a nearby member of liberty city's finest. now, of course, the cop completely ignored the gunmen and went straight for me. What i wanna know is in this "new police AI" for gtaIV, will the cops focus attention on the guy who starts shooting, not the guy defending himself. i'll be really annoyed if R* havent fixed this.

The 40GB does not. I believe that the 80GB does still offer backwards compatibility, though. yeah that really pissed me off. in australia you can only get the 40gb version. the 80gb one wont come out here until xmas 2008. the reason that the 40gb version doesn't have backwards compatability is because sony took out the Emotion Engine (Playstation 2 CPU) chip that does the job. the 80gb console uses software emulation to play them.

While reading the "Hardest GTA" topic i thought to myself, "Whats the hardest mission?" if any of you can remember that mission that pissed you off sooooo bad that you punched the couch and threw the controller (maybe a bit of an exaggeration) then post your memorys here, in as little or much detail as you want... Personally, i can remember quite a few missions that made me do the described above, but my first one i think would be the final mission in GTA III. My god that one gave me the shits, trying to get through all those columbians at the dam. That mission seems a breeze now, but i was 12 - 13 when i first played it.... Edit: Later on I'd like to do a poll based on the most listed missions here (if that happens) , so even just a game and mission name (or description. i can figure it out) would be fine. cheers
