They should have it be set a few years later and you can play as mad dogg. It can be like 1995 or 96 around the time the whole east coast west coast rap wars were going on. They can make it like a Tupac and Biggie type story.

I've also thought it to be possible that the old LC still exists and is just not in the newest game. Like it's out there as it's own separate borough. Cause think about it, in IV you've got brooklyn, the bronx, queens, and manhattan. That's 4 of the 5 boroughs. The one being left out is Staten island which they did in Gta3 as Staunton Island. So it would be reasonable to believe that it could still be out there but just left out of gta4. Granted I dont know what portland or shoreside were supposed to be exactly but i'm just saying it's possible that those are all still parts of the city they just arent put all together in one game. Like it has never been the full LC. Like how do you explain what ever happened to the old LC mob families like leone, forelli, and sindacco? I mean I know they got pretty much extiguished and would barely be around anymore if at all, but the mobsters you meet in gta4 say they have run things for 70 years or so. But it's like didn't those families from the old game have power before though? Theyre not even mentioned. So that's why if my theory were correct that would make sense since it would mean that they were around they just operated in completely different territories of the city. I know I'm over thinking it but it's just an idea. Something that has crossed my mind in the past.

Maybe the whole world would be a little unrealistic to accomplish but it would be cool to eventually have a game where you have multiple cities to fly between. Not like in SA but let LC, VC, and maybe some other east coast cities they havent done yet be incorporated. And like I know the whole mafia thing has been done to death but I think it would be cool if they did one more great mob story. They could incorporate like all the families around the east coast in each city they do and have you work with all of them or go to war or whatever. They could do like Philly, Chicago, Boston, Detroit maybe. I mean they can use Carcer city whichever town it's supposed to be based off of.

I'm sorry if I find as much enjoyment in the sense of story as I do with the actual gameplay. Maybe there is something wrong with me. I was never making a huge deal of it though. The Lost & Damned isn't a new separate game released for your console it's DLC. And since it runs off the gta4 engine I reasonably thought it was possible that rockstar could have made it so that the game pulled some stuff off of your gta4 save game in order to better make the stories TRULY intersect. They obviously didn't do that which is fine. I don't care and I never said I thought it was a big deal and that it was anything more than a minor aspect of the game. All I was saying is That would have been cool if they had done that because I think they could have. That's all. What is wrong with me saying that? I'm not upset about it, I'm still gonna buy it if it comes out for ps3 and I'm still gonna enjoy playing it. I simply asked a question. No need to get unnecessarily belligerent. Most of the people who told me i was making a fuss were making an even bigger fuss about the thread itself.

Actually the more I think about it the more it makes sense that they would do it the way they did. I mean it seems like it would have been easy enough for them to call up the clothes he wore in that mission from the save game but then what would be the point. I mean odds are the mission when you take it in L&D wont be at the exact same in-game time and day so what would be the point of being accurate with the clothing. Niko is just a side character in this one so i guess you may as well overlook it.

That's lame. It's amazing the unbelievable things game creators and designers can do and are capable of and yet they don't take care of stupid things like this. You know they could have done something to make it better.

So I have yet to play L&D and probably will only ever play it if it comes to PS3. But I'm just curious cause I know that you see Niko in the game as he and johnny have the same run-in's they had in IV. So for those of you who have experienced that I just wanted to know does niko wear the same clothes that you had him in when you played the mission with him in IV? or does it have him back in his default clothes? Cause that's stupid if it does cause how do you explain him wearing one thing in one of the scenes and something else in another when they are both the exact same moment? I would hope that the game saves his outfit to memory and uses it in the scene for lost and damned as well.

Like I said the game is brand new. But I was actually mailed a replacement and it works perfectly so problem solved.

I've said before that they havent done enough involving the Irish mob. And since a number of GTA games have been nostalgic of a movie, then doing a city based on Boston with a "Departed" type feel would be really cool I think. Or even Liberty City during an era where the Irish were more prominent would be cool too since that is where the McCrearys lived.

So what would be the best course of action for me to take if i just started playing a brand new copy of VC and it constantly needs to load and breifly freeze with an error message? Is it the console or disc? all my other PS2 games play just fine. What should I do??

LOVED IT! I've always thought a city based on Boston would be great for a gta game. They need to do more involving the Irish mob.

What San Andreas character would have had a story that took him across the entire state like cj? Even Cesar said that he didnt know some of the areas too well implying that he's never or rarely been there before. Everyone's lives up to that point had been based in set parts of the state which is why it would make more sense to make the "Stories" game for just one of the major cities. Or who says they cant make a different game for each of them? I mean I guess they could just use a brand new main character all together but it seems the tradition with these prequel "stories" games is to use a familiar face from the previous.

Instead of always going into your date's house for sex you should have the option to bring dates back to your place for sex if you choose. And someone already mentioned being able to get drunk at any point you want in the game that is a good idea too.

is anyone else at all put off that the newest Liberty City has none of the old LC in it? I mean I thought they would at least put most of the same spots in the city in IV and just add way more around it, create more boroughs and what not. I mean how do you explain the city being an entirely different place altogether? Nothing is called the same except for the airport. Did the city burn down at some point and have to be rebuilt? I love IV but i dont like the lack of chronology. If they did another game in LC they should add the old LC onto it as a separate borough along with the new.

I will say one thing that that was a bit off putting to me(and this is just my opinion), was that Vic Vance, though a physically tough guy. Emotionally he kind of strikes me as a bit of a vagina. His whole heart to heart talk with louise in the beginning though it fit with the story, kind of gay. And I just really dont care for the "I'm a criminal cause I have to be not cause I want to be." GTA Protagonists need to be full blown criminals who want it all. Like Tommy Vercetti. Again, just my opinion I still love the game. I in no way think that it sucks
