  1. Well I'm not sure if you can which is "best", but I should have linked to the FAQ, there's an explanation of their products' differences: If I'm understanding it correctly, endorphin creates animation data which characters can use during a game. While euphoria generates animations just when needed, the character movements aren't scripted as such, they are unique and not created before hand, like with endorphin. I'm not an animations expert though so I may be misinterpreting this myself, so don't take my word for it. Does it really matter that you all know the specific differences though?
  2. Yes their posts have been moved into your topic Gycu, mods and admins can move not only topics but individual posts too Also, back on topic yet again, here are direct links to the endorphin and euphoria pages. Yes they are similar, and you may be confused as to what the actual differences are, but unless you're working in the 3D model or animation industry you don't need to know The point is that the press release specifically states euphoria, rather than all or any other of the products made by NaturalMotion. Just to clear up any confusion. Another point to make clear is that nowhere does it specifically state GTA4 will use it, but it is heavily implied, so that's what we're expecting.
  3. No not really. They've had financial difficulties in the last year yes, for a number of factors all of which are detailed in the report. You need to have a good understanding of finance through either Business or Economics to get your head round it all. But it doesn't really have much affect on the main games they're pushing out this year, GTA4 being one of them. Take Two haven't gone bankrupt or anything, it's not as if they haven't got any money, because they have. They just had some losses last year as opposed to profit. As it states in the report they had to make a number of cost saving changes, including the closure of several studios, remember the Rockstar Vienna closure we posted about last year? I'm sure GTA4 will change all that, and to move swiftly back on topic, I think the episodic content, albeit content which the fans legitimately want, will actually act as another reason to get the game, thus boosting sales.
  4. I know what you mean but don't confuse this with rag-doll physics, they are an actual type of physics, which are similar to what euphoria has done, except it's literally like a rag-doll, movements aren't human. Unless that human is dead of course. Also to everyone who's talking about endorphin, that's a different product. Rockstar are using euphoria. Read more about the two different products on http://www.naturalmotion.com. And all the comments regarding system specs have been moved to the topic in the GTA4 forum dedicated to it. Please do not talk about that here, Your comments on news posts are supposed to be directly related to the story. Thanks.
  5. Has nobody got any more fake maps to share with us. I know there's been a few good topics in the past on specific ones. But nobody has posted any here for months... nobody had a go at making their own?
  6. Well no that's what the confusion is about... we don't actually know what it's going to be. It could be new vehicles, player skins. It could be new missions. It could be a small island... we can only speculate for now.
  7. Last night Take Two reported their Fiscal 2006 Financial Results. If you're familiar with these press releases you'll know that Take Two like to talk about the games which they sold during the year, as well as upcoming products which are in the making. A small mention of GTA4 revealed that the game would receive episodic content some time during 2008, rather than being available from the initial release. That was all that was said about the matter. There's still no confirmation on whether the PS3 version is going to get any content, or exactly what the content is. Stay tuned as we'll have more updates on this as they are released.
  8. Well that's showing off endorphin, which is a different product, though I'd imagine they're using the same engine anyway, so it's a nice demonstration. You're not sure? Are you new to the whole GTA thing or something? Those are all fakes, some are even stolen from this site. It's not even a trailer it's just a slideshow of fake screens, and you fell for that? Wow. Anyway yes this is great news, GTA4 is going to have some awe-inspiring graphics and physics by the looks of things.
  9. Yeah it doesn't matter what browser you're using. It's obviously a coding error, a weird one since only some of us get the error. There's no point in you all telling me if you get the error or not because it doesn't make a difference, the fact is there's an error and it needs to be fixed - trouble is I'm not the one who coded the store, and I don't fancy going through hundreds of lines of code just to find what's probably a simple error.
  10. The news comes after it was announced that Rockstar Games became the second licensee to utilise NaturalMotion's euphoria technology. A short excerpt from the press release spells out the facts: It's important to note that as of yet no specific titles have been confirmed, though it appears we'll be getting seperate announcements on those in the near future. Whether or not "several months" of collaboration is enough for Rockstar to have been using this, after all there are only 10 months until the release of the game, it should be very interesting to see this technology used. This paragraph of text should help to explain why this is quite exciting news: So essentially, you shouldn't see the same movements twice from characters, it will always be different just like in real life. It would certainly make for some very interesting game experiences. We may also see this technology used in some of Rockstar's other upcoming games such as LA Noire. 11. I shall see what I can do. Oh and yes the money will come from the bank, not a member. So yeah, increase the prizes a little, because 150 points seems quite low
  12. "too white"? What? How can you be too white? I don't understand. And it's not like everyone here is black, as if you'd be out of place or something. Because as everyone knows, there are no black people on the Internet, so there it is NOT a wig: lol @ the wig comments kokane when are you gonna go brunette again? I mean like, light brown, if you know what I mean, not dark... but like, a little darker than blonde you are now... this sentence has gone wrong. Also, your pics are on flickr... you have an account there? what's your username? Also, when are you gonna get a proper camera? It's annoying seeing you in such poor quality pics all the time, HI RES FTW!
  13. Sup guys.. and gals... here's a pic of me posted in the elite forum last week. Taken before an interview I had at a University.
  14. Primarily because there was already a thread wishing those people a happy birthday. Also, everyone tends to get personalised birthday threads here, rather than just having one great big topic for everyone. That's why. You didn't do anything wrong if that's what you're wondering, and you weren't warned for it or anything.
  15. Moved to PC Chat. Q1: Yes you can upgrade laptops, though they are significantly harder to take apart than a standard desktop PC. If you've never taken a laptop apart before I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you're confident you can put it all back together again. Also, a decent graphics card for your laptop is going to cost you a bit too I would imagine. Q2: Well, we can't really say what games will work until you give us more specs. What you've given us isn't particularly relevant, other than the fact we know your graphics card is an Intel GMA 950 with "up to 224MB shared system memory" according to Dell's site. If you could post what processor you have and how much RAM you have we could get a better idea of how good your system is. Do you know how to find this information?
  16. You guys all saying Norton are absolutely crazy! Norton is the single worst application ever made for Windows, it slows down your computer so much it's unbelievable, I can't believe people still use it. Anti-Virus: AVG, or Avast (I use AVG Free as it's by far the best IMO) Firewall and other shit: ZoneAlarm Security Suite You guys all majorly suck at piracy as well, you're all amateurs, not that TGTAP condones it, just saying, from observations in this topic... OR, just get a Mac, that way you don't ever get viruses or spyware or adware
  17. Yes this is a mod for Vice City so I'll move this to the correct forum. First of all you need to download the GTA Liberty City mod, there's a topic on GTAF with links to sites where you can download it - http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=204010 I believe Beta 2 version 6 is the latest. After you've downloaded and installed that you need to get LCMP - http://www.thegtaplace.com/pafiledb.php?ac...file&id=971 Install that and fingers crossed it should all work. However, I'm not sure it's that popular anymore, so you may find there aren't many people online to play with, but good luck anyway, let us know if it worked or if you need any further help.
  18. Chris

    Orkut

Well, Orkut is mainly used by Brazilians, so I doubt many people here use it, it's not that popular in other countries for some reason. Probably because of other sites like MySpace etc.
  19. Not a real life friend, but whatever, welcome to the site
  20. Well if it's in the store then it's nothing to me, have to wait for the next release which will hopefully fix the remaining bugs which are still annoying everyone.
  21. Chris

    Saints Row for PS3

No one ever asked for proof so I never gave any... So what? It's called being helpful. Appreciate it. This thread is now more useful now that it contains proof of the game's existence.
  22. Chris

    Saints Row for PS3

Even down to the same font. I heard it is actually quite a good game though, aside from it trying to be like GTA. I may get it for 360, I know it's been out a long time now, but maybe.
  23. The original on CD is made for old DOS based systems, I doubt it would work on XP properly, assuming that's what you're using.
  24. I don't ever remember seeing one made for it. I guess the next best thing would be a blank map you can print out
