GTA3 gangs page done. San Andreas criminal ratings page now done.

Funny thing is NO planes have yet been confirmed as flyable. People are just assuming. I mean I'd like to think there's at least one flyable plane, we'll have to wait and see though.

Yeah well you may have had the un-updated page stored in your cache preventing you from seeing the update It's not really a race to post news first though, it's just the sooner you do it the better it looks, rather than lagging behind others. A matter of minutes isn't even worth mentioning though to be honest. Not many people would notice, nor do they go around all the GTA sites seeing which ones have and haven't posted.

Yeah although it looks like it could be very useful. Well most of us assumed a site update would occur tonight for several reasons. 1. The fact Rockstar only have 1 week left before the game is released. 2. All the other updates happened on a Tuesday. 3. The last update also seemingly got delayed a few hours making it between 1am and 2am GMT where the site would be updated. and 4. I wrote a small PHP script a while ago which checks for changes in the filesize of the index page on the official site. I then get an email if there is a change, but I can also view the script online and refresh every couple of minutes to see if theres a change (which I do when I know there's going to be an update). I saw the update because Rockstar were in the middle of uploading the file when I refreshed so I posted about it straight away, and then proceeded to save all the new images. Also, don't forget I have script in my admin panel so I can upload an image and a thumbnail is automatically created and the screen automatically gets shown in the screenshots gallery, all these time saving features... Yes that's what it takes to get the info out quick as hell to all the fans, like almost instantaneously when there's and update. It's worth it though

Rockstar have just this minute updated the official Vice City Stories website. There is of course the third and final trailer titled In So Deep which features Phil Collins, 11 new screenshots, and sadly, no new information. The multiplayer page now contains all the official descriptions of each mode, we'll be updating our page accordingly later. The Music page has a sample listing of the soundtrack, with more details coming soon, one noticeable entry is the legendary Run DMC with "It's Like That". It's also worth noting that the soundtrack will soon be appearing on iTunes and Urge. The radio stations confirmed for the game are as follows: Flash FM, Fresh 105 FM, VRock, Paradise, Espantaso, Emotion 98.3, VCFL and Wave 103. The only new information I could find other than this was that of a new amphibious car called the Splitz. You can see a screenshot of this in our screenshots gallery where I have uploaded all of the screenshots Rockstar have uploaded today. Bear in mind some of the 19 images uploaded are duplicates we have already seen, but 11 of them are brand new. Link: http://www.rockstargames.com/vicecitystories/

Yep it's officially out now. I'm going to upgrade right now.

Good idea, nice thread. Let's make it really huge and promote this beast of a browser

http://www.thegtaplace.com/sanandreas/weapons.php Created the weapons page for San Andreas. This took me absolutely ages to type up as well, and I had to extract all the HUD icons as I lost them all from a long time ago... anyway looks alright I think. Other pages I revamped were: GTA3/VC/SA System requirements page GTA3 and VC weapons pages

Yes you are too new, although soon we are considering having section specific mods, based on recommendations by other members. So if you really want to mod then make a good impression.

Good, I've been looking forward to the final release of 2.0, I didn't bother with any of the beta's or RC's. I hope all my extensions work. P.S. The link chris82 posted is for the US locale. If you live in a different country you'll likely want your localised version for the built in search engines and dictionaries etc. Click your language here and get the setup file: ftp://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or...ases/2.0/win32/ And BTW when you posted that it was still 23rd in USA, it was the 24th already here and throughout the rest of the world actually, yeah only North and South America were still in yesterday, so it may not have been an accidental early release. Having said that, Check for Updates in my 1.5 still isn't finding anything...

We posted the other day about the first VCS Review in the latest issue of PSM in the USA. The info we didn't pick up (thanks to a lack of readable scans) was contained in a whole page about all 10 multiplayer modes in Vice City Stories. Rather than post them all here, you can check out our newly created Multiplayer page for all the essential details. We'll be updating it should Rockstar release anymore specific details in the next week, when the final official site up is likely to occur. Thanks to gamerzworld for the readable scans.

Does anyone else think we should have a special forum (placed above the Official Gangs forum) and move all topics that are to do with the gangs here into there? There's quite a few topics about the gang system in the Suggestions and Feedback forum, and a couple in the Announcements should these all be moved to a new dedicated gang system forum? I could then put a message in the suggestions forum and also in the announcements forum directing anyone with questions about gangs to the deciated gang forum ...

I'll add in the links later but here are some decent ones. StumbleUpon FlashGot VideoDownloader Gmail Notifier TabSwitcher TabMixPlus Bookmarklets for easier porn browsing (drag these links to your bookmarks bar in firefox) EDIT: Can't paste javascript for security reasons, I'll try to find the site that lists them all. EDIT 2: I see you already put videodownloader and flashgot.

They've been around for years. The thing is they really only have their own community, you don't find many of their members on other forums. Like, a lot of members here are also members on other GTA sites. Majority of them are n00bs and there's too much disagreement between staff too often.

Ah I see, don't worry about what Jace said, you haven't got that problem. A similar thing happens sometimes on my schools computers, it's to do with Java and Javascript settings in Internet Explorer. I'm not sure which exactly because I can't access those properties at school to see whats not checked. I'll try to figure out what in IE might be causing the page to stop loading. In the meantime you could make sure you have the latest version of Java installed. You can get the latest version from java.sun.com - if you scroll down to where it says: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9 The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications. Click the Download button next to that and choose an option for getting it, once it's installed try visiting the forums again and let us know if you still have the same trouble.

They probably did but I don't know what it was, however, I do have some other LCS review scores we can compare it to. IGN - 9 / 10 1UP - 9.0 / 10 GamesDomain - 4.5 / 5 GameSpot - 8.6 / 10 If these websites post VCS previews I will be posting them and comparing, from what we've heard VCS sounds much better anyway, so I'd assume all these sites would give it a higher rating than LCS.

PSM are the first major publication to get their review of Vice City Stories out. We've had a flurry of previews recently, and it seems that companies are getting to play the entire game for themselves now, so expect a lot more reviews coming in over the next week or so. In short, PSM say it's an excellent game, giving it a rating of 9.5. Included in the article are 9 new screenshots, and a few new details. PSM say that Vice City Stories is the best PSP game they've ever played, but it didn't achieve a perfect 10 due to all the technical glitches. There is an incredibly vague explanation of drowning - it seems that if you swim for 'too long' you will drown, it's unclear whether they mean underwater (running out of breath), or actually above water and losing stamina and energy. I'm sure this will be cleared up in other reviews. There are still issues with the targeting system, sometimes pedestrians will be targeted instead of armed gang members. There are also issues with the AI, enemies will sometimes get stuck running into walls, and occasionally your fellow gang members will run in front of your gunfire, causing you to kill them and subsequently fail the mission. The storyline apparently clocks in at taking approximately 15 hours to complete, very short for a GTA game. Then again, taking into consideration all the mini games, side missions, empire building, and the fact it's meant to be portable, this figure is fairly reasonable. Expect many more reviews, the final site update, and many more screenshots and videos soon! On a sidenote, UK supermarket Tesco have revealed the back cover of the Vice City Stories box. More top gaming sites have been busy writing previews of the multiplayer features they've been shown in Vice City Stories. Today, UGO and Eurogamer posted new previews, and you may remember yesterday we posted about Gamesradar and their pulled down article, well that's back up now. In addition to all the new previews are more screenshots, UGO have two 'exclusive' shots (with watermarks), Gamesradar also have one exclusive shot. There's also 8 more screenshots which were given to all the gaming sites over the past few days. UGO and Gamesradar Exclusives The other screens Links: Gamesradar, UGO, Eurogamer, VCS Screenshots

Thats not hard at all for me anymore. No, what me and a friend used to do was survival. We used to get full health and armor, all the weapons we needed, then go in there and see how ling we could survive. Not using any cheats at all. It was cool running around the place and crouching behind obstacles and such, running up the towers and sniping people. Good times.

Can you show us what you see, press the print screen button on your keyboard and paste the image into Paint and upload it here.

Gamespot? That was a bit of a crappy troll... You do realise there's tension between Rockstar and Gamespot don't you? - that's why you NEVER see GS with any previews of GTA games anymore, R* don't like them, I highly doubt they visit their forums now. The main ones they visit will be all the popular English GTA sites, and IGN. Quit trolling and trying to plug GameSpot, nobody cares about them.

Two top gaming sites have posted previews of Vice City Stories' mutliplayer modes today. Gamesradar were the first with the new info, however, they seem to have pulled their article for some reason. The other site to post, IGN, still have theirs up though. There are a few new screenshots and lots of new info regarding the multiplayer aspect of VCS, details of which are listed below. There are a total of 10 multiplayer modes Like Liberty City Stories, VCS is still only playable in Ad-Hoc mode. No infrastructure mode is available for proper online play. Improvements have been made to the "Survivor" deathmatch mode from Liberty City Stories, there will now be AI controlled vehicles and pedestrians on the streets in addition to the human players The new Might of the Hunter mode is similar to "Tanks for the Memories" from Liberty City Stories, but this time teams must shoot down the Hunter. Tanks for the Memories and indeed all the other modes from Liberty City Stories make a reappearance in VCS. Links: IGN Preview IGN Screenshots Gamesradar Preview (currently not online)

75 users active in 60 mins :O
Chris replied to Urban Legend's topic in Suggestions / Help / Bug Reporting
That has actually been discussed before Slayer. Trouble is there's always a 50/50 chance of it failing or succeeding... which isn't really that good. On the one hand, you get loads more members - loads of which will never post, they only reg to see the content. On the other hand, you lose loads of visitors because they can't be bothered to sign up to access content. -
Bit of a stupid place for an easter egg though, look where it is on the map, not exactly hard to find is it? The cement shoes man in Vice City was camouflaged in with the rocks so it was pretty hard to see unless you drove over those rocks.
