Good to see everyone getting so involved

An article on The Inquirer caught my eye today. I was sent the link by a friend and initially dismissed as it seemed completely false information, but as I was sent the link by a couple of other people I decided I'd re-read it and post about it. Stirring up a rumours is now a popular past-time it seems for news sites struggling to gain popularity among the masses. The article essentially summarises how many games are now moving towards using real life cities as opposed to realistic false ones. They seem to think Rockstar games has "more than probably" situated the next GTA in London, England. There is no fact that Rockstar Games have done this, it is pure speculation. We currently have no official word from Rockstar on the location of the next game, and another thing, why would they shrink down the game from 3 cities in an entire state to the comparatively deminuitive London? So far all the sites speculating on the next installment of Grand Theft Auto have based their article around unsubstantiated opinions and until we have an official statement from a Rockstar representitive it would be wise not to believe anything you read at this point, rest assured when the setting is revealed you'll know about it from us.

Feckin ell is everyone still making excuses to why they cant post a picture of themselves. Will this pic of me do? Spaz?
-
I voted for Tom and Katie
-
Actually f*ck the 3 picture rule theres no point to it. I'll start the voting topic tomorrow, havent been able to get on today to do anything about it.
-
No I don't think so.
-
-
Ooh so now its you two blatantly sucking up to each other. Ha. Well, lets see how well Katie does then.
-
Yes I will soooo be taking over that title. Voting starts later today so last chance to get anymore pics in.
-
I already did an article on why I got a dell laptop as opposed to an alternative one
-
Oh well I wasn't actually saying you did I was just replying to the question if someone adjusts lighting and shit and...WTF did anyone even ask that... I don't even know what I'm posting about, damn I'm tired.
-
Yeah perhaps some of us do take this really seriously.... Excellent stuff!
-
I can't see why anyone would adjust lighting and contrast to get a perfect photo for a forum based competition. Everyone should be doing this for a laugh, there's nothing serious about it. Anyway good luck everyone, voting starts Christmas Eve so you have until then to post more pictures if you wish.
-
Excellent. Right is anyone gonna post anymore pics or are we all done now?
-
You guys might like to use ImageLodge.net to host your big .gif files if other image hosts impose smaller file size limits on you.
-
Gonna end this soon and start a new topic for the voting. I've decided we no longer have a 3 pictures rule, basically you can put as many as you like here and just put forward your best 3 for the voting. No naked pictures No pictures of supermodels with your face superimposed on theirs.

News on the Grand Theft Auto front has been rather slow as of late, with only edisoncarter's LCS hacking and Switch's new mods worth posting about. So now's a good opportunity to update you all on the progress of some of the mutiplayer mods in development, and some total conversion mods. First off we have GTA Multiplayer, the team who have taken over development of the former SA-MP mod. Yesterday saw the release of their first video, showing off the work they've put into the core and synchronising elements of the mod. Progress is just over 72% at the time of posting. www.gtamultiplayer.com Next we have MTASA, still no release as of yet, but by the sounds of it they don't have that much left to do before the first release. They're currently developing a server-side anti-cheat mechanism, which is a great way to rid the community of the few who wish to spoil the fun. You can keep an eye on their updates by reading their blog. www.mtasa.com Not much to post about gtaTournament since their last release. Looks like they have a few of the socket errors which have plagued their mod previously. Version 0.3 seems like it's coming along nicely too, version 0.2 is available from our downloads database for those who are desperate to play now. www.gtat.org The newest multiplayer mod on the scene is GTA Rumble. These guys are already doing well with a few beta releases out already. They are hoping to get everything fixed before Christmas, so I'm looking forward to this one. They seem like a very dedicated team working on it. You can check out and download their current mod at GTARumble.co.uk. If you remember there were a fair few other teams trying to get a share of the multiplayer gaming world. Teams are mostly now defunct, but included SA-2P, a mod simulating the 2 player mode seen on the PS2 and Xbox versions of San Andreas. SanAnarchy, looked promising and got to 86% finished but last update was well over a month ago so it doesn't look like they're doing too great. Online Andreas was probably the first multiplayer mod released, however it doesn't seem to have been worked on at all since then. There may have been some others but to be honest if people can't even remember them they probably aren't worth posting about. Finally to conclude this post, the team working on GTA-LVS released version 0.2 of their mod earlier this month, which aims to bring Liberty, Vice and San Andreas together. There's still a lot of work to be done but it shows they're progressing. Enjoy playing that. www.gta-lvs.com

There is a seperate voting for men and women if you had bothered to read anything. Learn how to treat a women with respect. Smacking them upside the head is not teaching them respect now is it. It showing them what a pussy you are and how you're too inept to cope.
-
FYI the filters have always been turned on since the forums had started. Why do you need to use all those words anyway? This is a GTA forum, not ebaumsworld.
-
Crimson I think we can now safely say that i DONT look like you, dunno who said that but we don't look alike, I don't look like a serial killer anyway Good to see everyone submitting more pics though. We'll perhaps start the voting soon so be sure to post anymore pictures you want people to see.

Millions of people use AMD, Intel is obviously still popular due to their incessant, constant advertising. My personal server is actually an AMD, though the one TheGTAPlace runs on is an Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz with 4 processors, yes it's great. My server is nowhere near that fast but still does an excellent job of hosting all my other websites. My desktop has an Intel Pentium 4 1.7ghz and my new laptop has a Pentium M 1.86Ghz which I will overclock to 2ghz when I get round to it. I have .txt files somewhere with all my specs of my computers, I'll try and find them. I'm rebuilding my desktop over the winter though hopefully so everything might change
