Nice model you've made there, do you have any other cars in the works at the moment?

Just added a final paragraph about a custom skin... And the suggestions forum will now only be for suggestions, problems will go on the problems forum.

I envy you living in Scandinavia at winter, must be awesome with the amount of snow you guys get, imagine the fun!! I live in a poor area of town so nobody has decent house lights in my area. Most probably the video was made on computer, I reckon the guy took loads of pictures of his house with different lights on, then made a video with a synchronising program to overlap the images to make it look like many different combinations of lights were on.

Before you start reading this I should warn you this is a medium to long post so don't go posting random crap in your replies, read the whole thing thoroughly and reply to each point I brought up if necessary. Let me know what you think about it so I can decide whether to do certain things or not. Since I haven't been to active on these forums as of late, due to work on other websites I've been doing, plus school work and such, I thought I'd post a announcement as to what will be going on in the coming months, which are often boring in terms of GTA activity. As there's no new GTA's to look forward to at the moment or anything. Some of you, and you get this on all forums by the way, say that the forums aren't "fun" or are "dead" as some of you phrase it. I've been looking at other forums and none of them are appealing to me whatsoever. I am a normal member on other forums which I won't name, I see this forum through an admins eyes only so its unfair. But no other forums were "fun" either. So we're all in the same position really. I know we're in need of some ways to keep up the general activity around here, so I've been thinking a bit. I was thinking of maybe installing the arcade again, it seemed to be quite popular among most members last time (remember the tournaments we had). If you are one of the people who would like to see the Arcade installed please say that in your reply so I can see if it's wanted or not. We don't have any kind of shop or store at the moment, for several reasons really. Firstly, IBStore, the system we were using before isn't being worked on anymore, and is not compatible with this latest version of Invision Power Board. IBShop is also no longer being developed so we cannot use that. The other store system in development is Perfect Store, however I tried this out on my beta forums and did not like it at all, and it only had one different feature (Auctioning) that I felt might be useful. So I looked around Invisionize forums (#1 resource for IPB modders) and found that a guy called Phil is developing iStore (Invision Store). Phil helped with making IBStore, and so this system should be very similar, and better in some aspects. So that's the store we will be using, currently nobody has any idea when he will release the modification, so we'll simply have to wait until he does so. Now once iStore has been released, I can work on integrating my Gangs System into it, then we can revitalise the whole gang scene, further increasing activity around here. Parts of this can be done now though, if Gang leaders would sort out members in their gang and the like. I'm also considering a adding a new forum for members to post problems that they may have, these could be problems with the forum itself, or with moderators who you think are dealing with things unfairly, and we can do our best to resolve them. With this system in place we know exactly how all the members feel, theyll have a place to voice their opinion. To reintroduce the friendly atmosphere these forums have been known for, I have intorduced a no arguing policy for all moderators and admins. Basically what this means is, if a member starts arguing with a member of our staff, rather than retaliate, we shall discuss the problem and reasoning behind it and take the best action. This might be issuing a warning or suspending for a short period of time or something else to allow the member to calm down. Finally, a custom skin for the forums. Since I don't have time to do so myself I'm thinking of getting a designer to make a custom GTA skin for us, then I'll colourise it for each GTA games colours. I think it would be much better if our skin was unqiue. Thank you for reading

Congratulations on your observation... Really though, look at any GTA site and their forum, they're all dying, and it won't pick up again until we start hearing about GTA4 and GTAPSP2...

I wish they were.

http://media.putfile.com/WizardsofWinter-SM Cool isn't it?

imageshack have like dozens of servers all over the world so obviously they're going to be faster. But imagelodge is just better.

Lol well I couldn't care less about that domain anyway I don't even want to be associated with it, in fact I wish they just took it off me but they never did anything about it. And Sabin that makes the page look awful with an unsightly 404 error page. I'd rather see the adverts than have that.

Need for Speed wins hands down. And I'll be getting Most Wanted soon for free

Lol yeah. I often wonder what motivates these so called "hackers". You see it takes less than a minute to restore our 50MB database backup, and that only ever happens if the site is hacked, if it's just a spam attack then as soon as a mod is on they can simply click "Delete All posts/topics by this member" then BAM it's all gone. Waste of time and money for them, they pay a subscription fee to their ISP every month, and they waste it on spam which gets deleted. In one way I'm all for it, the more they waste their money, the harder they'll find it to live, and the more sad acts that die the better the world will be. Also, as I say to everyone in this day and age. If you have a passWORD, it's your own fault, especially if it is just a dictionary word. If you choose a passphrase or a combination of letters and numbers it's almost impossible to crack. I have no sympathy for people who have shitty passwords and don't care if you get hacked.

I made some improvements to ImageLodge.net Yeah, Theres now graphical bars representing how much space and bandwidth you've used. And there's a category feature. You can add/edit/delete categories, for better organisation of your images. Now when uploading an image you will have a dropdown box with the categories you've created (if any) and can choose which one it's uploaded into. Theres also some improvements to the My Images page. You can now tick a checkbox next to each image to easily move multiple images to the trash or to a different category. Let me know if there's any bugs and of course all feedback is welcome

I also stupidly did that once, there's no need though, just delete your settings file and all your settings will be set back to default. It'll be in My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\gta_sa.set
-
Yeah you can do reviews of hardware and stuff as well, thats what he wants.
-
Looks pretty good actually, good work.

It's insane_pyro... What do I win?
-
why is that? Because Neil owns vicecitystories.com, not Rockstar, you would think if they were gonna use that name they would have got the domain before anyone else could.

On Friday the team working on GTAT released version 0.2 of their multiplayer mod for San Andreas, it includes various bug fixes and improvements from 0.1. Check out the full details on the gtaT website, you can download gtaT 0.2 from our database.

Yeah I don't like it as much as the previous 2 albums by them, really the only songs I like are Benzin, Mann gegen mann, and Rosenrot. I haven't listened to the other songs much, but to be honest I much prefered the albums Mutter and Reise Reise.

If you've ever modded Vice City you will surely remember a modder by the name of Switch Designs. He made over 100 mods for the game, all of which can be downloaded from our downloads database. After a very long absense where lots of people presumed he had died or something tragic, Switch has now come back to the website and to the San Andreas modding scene. He's started off with a simple modification to the BMX. Lots of tweaks have been made to the bike, first of all obviously the frame shape has changed, as have the handlebars and the overall size of the bike, there are many more tweaks you'll find on it. I'm sure Switch himself will come and post about the great mods he will be making in the future. For now, download the new BMX. Also in download news, I've added a few Porsche's and Mercedes Benz's made by JVT & Tomekk, so be sure to have a look at those. I also added the Detailed Map & Radar mod by BaygoN which uses Ian Albert's fantastic maps of San Andreas which are almost like satellite images, to replace the standard map and radar map. It looks great and is definitely worth downloading.

Why can't we post polls anymore?
Chris replied to tyler's topic in Suggestions / Help / Bug Reporting
Yes it's a new tidier way of adding polls, all you do is start a new topic and when you are writing out the post you should see Click here to manage this topics poll - or something like that, the rest is obvious. -
