Ok, Let me update the situation. first of all, anyone who was interested in coding, IPB 1.3. is quite different to 2.0, and 2.1 has a completely new file structure so if you've got used to one version of IPB we're moving on to IPB 2.1 now so learn that. The Store When we upgrade to 2.1.2, we won't have a store for a while. You'll still earn money for posting and stuff, but won't have anywhere to use it. Phil_b, a member over at invisionize.com is currently coding iStore (Invision Store) which will basically be exactly the same as IBStore (he worked with Outlaw to develop that mod). I asked Phil if we could have a beta version to use so we can get a store ASAP but he hasn't replied yet. I'm also hoping that he's using the same stuff from ibstore so everyone keeps their weapons etc. Once the store is released and we have it installed, I will start coding the gang system around it again, so that it's just like the current one. After this is done, we'll go back to the ideas in this topic and see how we can implement them. In my opinion a proper store provides an excellent platform for the buying and selling of items. Having a warehouse and stuff might need to be reconsidered, depending on how we get things working and if everybody is satisified with how things work.

Gamespot have finally got round to posting their review. Personally I think it's a better one because as well as pointing out the good things they also focus on some of the games flaws, making it an unbiased review. They gave it 8.6/10. Rockstar have just sent me a little application that you can install on your PSP to enable the custom soundtrack option on Liberty City Stories, the download is just under 1MB and please read the readme that comes in the zip file for full instructions on what to do. Judging by reactions on various message boards on the interweb, this isn't what fans wanted at all, granted, it's better than nothing, but there are a few major drawbacks to this app. First and foremost, you can only convert tracks from original audio CD's, so you can't go downloading music from iTunes, or copying your friends' discs, you need the real thing. Secondly, you can only use these tracks on LCS, they can't be used elsewhere on your PSP. Thirdly, the program only works on Windows computers, so around 15% of the population have no such facility available. Fourthly, you choose custom tracks OR radio, not both, you'll need to go back into the options again if you want to switch between the two. With reports also flying around that Rockstar are allegedly deliberately delaying LCS in Europe to rain on Nintendo's Gameboy Micro parade and Microsoft's Xbox360 release. It's not looking great for consumers as they have to wait even longer for the game. Gamespot have uploaded ten videos demonstrating parts the gameplay of Liberty City Stories, check them all out on their media page. All the videos are around 1 minute long and are just over 26MB for high res and 11MB for low res. On a sidenote, the official strategy guide for Liberty City Stories by Brady Games, the publisher of the guides for previous GTA games is now available. You can order it from Amazon.com, if you're in the UK like myself then Amazon UK have a release date of 30th November on it so you'll have to preorder it for now.

No, at the moment we don't see the need for account validations. I really have no idea why you're having trouble uploading. Is anyone else having troubles?

edisoncarter has released loads more cheats for Liberty City Stories. There's way too many to list in this news post, so rather than waste all the page space and slow down loading times, please head over to our GTALCS Cheats page. I have categorised the cheats to make them easier to find, and all the cheats are displayed nicely with little PSP button images. It's a full graphical list of cheats. Be aware that there are plenty of other codes to which we are unsure of their function, once they're found out we'll be adding them to the list so keep checking back every so often. Eventually we'll have a complete list.

There's refrences to a "Dodo" and a "Helicopter" in the .gxt file, implying these are vehicles which you can get into for their name to show up. But yeah if Rockstar said themselves that there's no flying it's unlikely they were lying.

Property can be used as a status symbol, as well as giving you more of an advantage in a gang war, (you'll have more stuff for others to destroy so you'll last longer). I actually have no use for vehicles in the system, other than being a status symbol. I'm going to have a look at a new shop system (if it's been released yet) and install it on my test forum. If it is like IBStore, I can try to port what I've done over to the new shop system. If it isn't it could just mean we don't have a store, at least not for the gang system, and build our own integrated place for buying weapons and the like. I would like it if I had someone else who knows PHP and can help with the coding. OR (read the next paragraph for details of what you can do or skip to the next one if you aren't interested) Rather than actually write the PHP code, you can write it all out how it would be done, just in step by step format. For example, this is what you would write out for using a weapon: 1. Click use weapon 2. Show list of properties available to destroy in rival gangs, and click one of them 3. Decide whether the weapon hits or misses. If it misses do this: .... If it hits do this: .... Ok I think you get the idea its basically like that, then when I'm coding it I can easily see exactly what need to be done.

Yeah, that's accented (french, german and other euro languages) or cyrillic characters (like Russian). Plus, symbols like ; [ ] # ' / ., `!%£*))£%)€ They don't display correctly in your browser a lot of the time so we blocked them. Possibly it was your computer or possibly it was my server, can you keep trying and see if this happens every time or if you were just unlucky?

I'm sure just about everybody who has played GTA3 will remember the sign in Staunton Island which read "You weren't supposed to be able to get here you know". Kuiosikle over at the GTA Underground has found that the sign is still there in LCS, except with a different message. He's also put together a detailed video along with himself narrating the route to the easter egg. Download the video from our database The sign now reads "Hello Again" with a silly face under it. This is also probably the first real easter egg to be found in Liberty City Stories, if you happen to find one yourself, be sure to post it over in our forums with any screenshots or videos. Categories - making it easier to sort/find your images (possibly in future also have the option to make the gallery available for others to browse Graphical representations of space and bandwidth usage Rotate and resize your images Statistics - see which of your images are most popular and which are using most bandwidth etc. (not very important - will leave til last)

IGN have posted four videos from GTA LCS. These are great to watch, especially if you're stuck in Europe like me and have to wait over a week before you can get your hands on the game. Check out the gameplay videos at IGN.
