I have decided to launch our sister site GTAFour.net today, after testing various layouts, I've stuck with one. GTAFour.net is a site speculating on what the next GTA game may be called, because at the time of writing we don't have any legible information saying it is GTA4 for certain. The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) today announced the nominees for the annual Game Developers Choice Awards. GTA San Andreas has been nominated in 4 categories, appearing in Best Game, Best Audio, Best Game Design and Best Writing. This is together with the likes of Half-Life 2 and Halo 2 so it's no easy win. These awards are highly sought after due to the fact it's the developers rating others work. As for bigger map ideas, thats almost a certainty I would say, it is a logical step to make the sequel to a game bigger than the prequel.

I believe the time period would be modern day.

No, children will never feature in a GTA game, it wouldn't be allowed. It would also be said to encourage paedophilia and/or child abuse as well as being immoral. Animals are a possibility but I can't see that happening myself, I don't think Rockstar could be bothered with all the hassle from cruelty prevention societies

I was looking for some Eastern European rock, namely Romanian just so I could see what it was like, I was expecting nothing since you never hear rock from this part of the world in Western countries. Well apart from System of a Down, (who incidently are from Armenia) I've never heard anybody from there, apart from gypsies playing a mandalin which is I believe the instrument played in the solo part of System of a Down's Nuguns song anyway I found this band called Zdob si Zdub, and by the looks of things they are obsessed with sheep, but anyway, listen to some of there songs, like this one called 'DJ Vasile' which you can download here - http://www.zdob-si-zdub.com/music/450/track2.mp3 It's addictive I keep playing it now. It's certainly a unique style, like gypsy folk music, but speeded up, then with the addition of a couple of guitars and a set of drums just thought i'd tell you of my experience

We now have a forum for discussion of the next GTA, probably GTA4, so we called it that. Check it out - http://forums.thegtaplace.com/index.php?showforum=45 At the time of writing the only topic there is the wishlist so it would be nice if you guys could be imaginitive and post your own wishes there. And also make some topics in that forum to keep it active. However since a lot of you lack initiative I will suggest some topics that you could start: on the PS3? - for discussion of the likelihood of it being on the next generation of consoles improvements - for discussion on the various ways in which Rockstar can/need to improve the game speculation - for discussion of the other possible whereabouts of the next GTA, plus other ideas involving a GTA2 remake and stuff etc... Did anybody find that a lot of their wishes got added, I did, that means I am cool. If you look back to this very old topic - GTASA Wishlist you might see the wishes you posted, this is what I wished for, the ones highlighted in red are actually in the game. - A Speedometer! - more variety of helicopters and planes and also more bikes - businessmen riding to work on there bicycle's that we could ram into buildings and smash them with their suitcases - When your tires are popped they should shred down to the rims with sparks flying everywhere - They should do better damage for the cars - They should put in big trucks or (semi's) - They should have a mission where someone is chasing you in a truck with you on a sanchez through that tunnel thing like on Terminator 2 - better flying physics, like when you bail out of a helicopter it spins out of control into buildings and stuff - you should be able to do things to the enviroment like chainsaw down trees to create a roadblock or hang on branches to snap them off and whack people with it - be able to pick up stuff like bricks to smash windows and climb in houses to rob stuff - or pick up plastic bags to strangle people - be able to strangle someone and slit there throat if u have a knife - see other drivers have car crashes like accidently bumping onto them at traffic lights and getting out to exchange details - more weather- it would be cool to have Snow, and maybe a tornado like once every 2 months game time or something and earthquakes or hurricanes - more main missions and non predictable stuff - you can cut stuff down like bushes with machete - using cutting things like katana etc cuts off limbs where you hit them - R3 air ambulance missions in a heli! - trees and power lines should fall down and electricute people in storms
