We've had flags for years. And I just uploaded the new files over the old ones and ran the upgrader... that's all there is to it.

To mark this Saturday's 10 year anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar have put together a nice tribute video to the game. Hard to believe it's been so long... check out the video below. Rockstar also extend their thanks: Source: Newswire

Yeah... categorising the games is impossible now. For example the portable ones, GTA III can go in there now... we're gonna end up with the majority of games being able to go in more than one category. So I thought we might as well just go with one category to hold each forum for each GTA game, with one at the bottom covering general series chat. I've left modding and multiplayer (pre GTA IV) separate since they obviously cover 3 or 4 games and splitting them up is pointless as redirects are already in place to cover that And then I just moved general discussion forums to the bottom. The main focus of this forum is GTA, not random chat. That's why the GTA forums are first, followed by general, I think we can all agree we need more relevant GTA discussion to get this forum more active again, we can start by giving those forums more exposure.

Well I was actually thinking about that but thought it might fuck up next time I play an EA game on PS3 or 360? Or maybe it will just ask me to relink again... hmm... and of course maybe those games will say they are linked to another account... lol. EA suck.

I've just upgraded the forums to the latest version of IPB (3.2.3) released yesterday. It primarily fixes bugs as there are no major new features, we actually skipped the 3.2.2 release so that was included with this one too, and likewise was also a bug fix release. Due to the numerous changes to various JavaScript files in this update, we recommend you empty your browser's cache - this will avoid potential problems where some functionality breaks due to the fact your browser still has old files. If you're not sure how to do this, just post in this topic and tell us what browser you use and what version it is, myself or someone else who knows will explain what to do. In most browsers you can simply go into the preferences/options/settings and look for content/storage settings, find an option like 'clear browsing data' and do that. Two minor new features added: Any emails you are set up to receive from the forum will now look nice, as opposed to the boring plain text ones it used to send. If you change your profile photo (avatar) you can now paste the URL of an image and it will import it. Let us know if you find any strange behaviour. As mentioned above, please ensure you have cleared your cache first. If you still get weird problems, post here On a sidenote: Awards will be working properly again soon and I'll be retrospectively adding them for our annual forum awards held in 2006-2009.

I think my origin ID is LazyPyro88... but I don't know. They fucked my account up. Says some other cunt is using my Xbox Live and PSN ID... but I logged in on profile.ea.com to check that and I see they are linked to MY OWN FUCKING ACCOUNT!? Why does Origin think it's not me? So yeah I'll be getting Battlefield 3 on PC... too bad Origin is one of the shittiest buggiest pieces of software I have used in a long long time.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of GTA III, Rockstar are asking for your questions about the game for a special edition of Asked & Answered. They are welcoming questions "about the characters, about the making of the game, really anything you've been dying to know for the past ten years." No questions are off-limits, anything goes as long as it's related to GTA III in some way - so they don't want any questions about the next GTA (nothing to say yet!). You can leave a comment over on the Newswire post or on Twitter or Facebook. You have until this Friday, October 21st to get your questions in.

So I just read the quotes from me in your About Me section. Completely forgot about those random conversations we had. I laughed my anus out.

Which was the first ever video game you started playing with?
Chris replied to amazingdude's topic in Gaming
Super Mario Bros. for the NES. In about 1992/1993 if I remember correctly. Most of you kids weren't even born then. -
If you Google "Gregory Haywoods" this thread is the first thing that appears now. I did lol at the fact you actually believed this all to be real though. The black V is cropped from the IV logo. The purple one is I think something GTANet used for gtav.net. The screenshot is definitely fake and has been around for some time now. The GTAV logo with palm trees is also fan made. People like to make shit based on what they think the next game will be like.

Rockstar Games have just come out with a somewhat surprising announcement, albeit quite a cool one. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar will be releasing a mobile version of the game for a select few mobile devices (check the list below to see if it is coming to yours). As of yet there are no details on exactly how the game will differ from the original version, but judging by the power of modern mobile devices it's quite likely it will be fully 3D just like the original. Rockstar point out that if you’re in the NYC area and heading to New York Comic Con, you can stop by their booth where mobile versions of the game will be available to play! You'll also be able to tour an exclusive gallery featuring the game’s signature art, and have chances to win the special anniversary edition Grand Theft Auto III and Rockstar Games gear. Full list of devices supporting GTA III 10th Anniversary Edition: Apple iOS Devices: iPad 2, iPhone 4S Android Phones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2 Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 In addition to the game, Rockstar also announced a limited-edition action figure of Claude, the protagonist of GTA III. It's been created by renowned collectible manufacturer Sideshow, and will be available for pre-order in limited quantities at the Rockstar Warehouse. He WAS a genius. The guy developed a cult-like following for Apple's products. He made well designed MP3 players, touch screen phones, and laptops desirable and usable to a point where clever marketing could influence millions of people to purchase their products regardless of whether they actually needed them. He made people want them and that so often translated into a sale because the desire was so strong. THAT is genius. Apple is now the biggest tech company in the entire world. Not many people have been able to so successfully transform a company's fortunes (remember how shitty Apple were before iPods? Now look where they are. EVERYWHERE.)

Yet another thread we need to close before everyone loses it.

Pancreatic cancer, since 2004. At first he refused treatment and said he would try "alternative medicines" and "change his diet" because that would apparently cure it. Idiotic move really. Of course we'll never know if traditional treatment would have cured him (he did get this eventually but probably too late by then), but still, I think it was stupid to refuse that. Quite remarkable he was fine for 6+ years before it started to take its toll.

I guess I'm a girl then because I liked Tomb Raider when I was a kid.

Android builds seem to be pretty good for non-Android phones. Like I said in my post, my HTC HD2 is the old WinMo 6.5... but I'm running a build of Android 2.3 on it (via SD card - on boot you start WinMo6.5 and then an .exe is run to boot you into Android), it's probably a little different on your N900, sounds like it can dual boot properly. Everything works perfectly for me though... phone, data, wifi, videos, music, apps. I had a couple of crashes in the 8 months or so I've been using it, but I think it was partly my fault due to using an app that apparently isn't fully supported, either way there are apps to backup all your shit including text messages etc. so I never lost anything when this happened. EDIT: Also remember Android is linux based, like Maemo... you would think the N900 is better suited to Android than my HD2.

HTC HD2 ... came with the old Windows Mobile 6.5 when it came out 2 years ago, I've since flashed it to Android 2.3 since I'm not a huge fucking retard to continue using WM6.5. It's on it's way out though and since I'm at the end of my contract I'm gonna be upgrading. Will get the new iPhone

Super Mods should have unlimited upload size limit.

It's safe but I'm not really sure anyone has a use for this. IPB doesn't really let you post with broken code anyway.
-
Well since we don't know how GTA V will relate to IV for now we'll just leave it where it is. If necessary we'll move it out when we learn more.

That's years away, much more likely this will be another trilogy (IV, V and VI).

Well what firewall are you using? You're probably blocking incoming connections on certain ports it's trying to access.
