Yeah if you join a friend mid-game you literally just join their game, not their party, as I found out recently. You just join the team with the fewest players. Does anyone else find sniping in MW2 a lot harder than it was in MW1? I used to be pro at sniping in MW1 but the past couple of days I tried in MW2 and I never get many kills at all. Also, what's everyone's kill/death ratios like? I'm finally playing good again and got mine above 1.0 It's about 1.05 now, but going up all the time. Just last week I had like 200 less kills than deaths :/

Single player? Dunno, I did it on hardened. Will do Veteran some day. A lot of the Spec Ops missions are pretty easy on Veteran, but some of the later ones are well hard. You actually do need a strategy to beat them. Which is good, I like a good challenge Oh and also, any of you guys find any intel in singe player. 0/45 is my stat, or however many there are. To be honest I didn't really look for any, but really? Would have thought I would have come across at least 1 piece, are they insanely well hidden or something or was I just being retarded?

Llama if we do indeed meet in London though would you really drive there? Insane trying to park, plus all the traffic and shit. Even if I get off my lazy arse and pass my driving test I think I'd still probably get a train there... despite the cost.

UPDATE 16/12/2009: Okay so I decided to split this topic from the big community thread so we can discuss this properly. It seems we have a number of members that are interested in meeting up, so far all from the UK. Any Europeans who don't mind flying to the UK for this are of course welcome too. What Huck said. It's like how AIM is almost exclusively used by Americans. Yahoo is dominated by Romanians and Filipinos. MSN is really the only network which has a huge variety of people of different nationalities using it. Since I don't know any Chinese people and have no need to expand my social networking into their country it's a bit irrelevant to myself and I would imagine most people here, to be honest. EDIT: topic description asks if it could/would be an MSN killer. Answer: No. Even outdated and retarded networks like ICQ are still going...

Some of us agree though. We can't just expect activity to increase over time as if by magic. Granted, it probably will over Christmas just because everyone is typically off school/work so they have more time to spend online. But then afterwards it'll drop again... The staff and forum bosses are all ears to anyone who has any decent ideas to increase activity.

I'm level 38 or 39 at the moment I think. Gone back to completing all the Spec Ops missions on Veteran difficulty with a friend. They're pretty cool.

So multiplayer isn't actually as bad as I was expecting after all the negative press it got. However, there still are some pretty bad points. Lack of dedicated servers - Half the time the host is some kid with a shitty internet connection and it's laggy as fuck Player limits - Maximum of 18 players, 12 in most game modes... way to small for a PC game Map sizes - Some of the maps are way too big for so few players. Quarry, for example, is massive and half the people camp with snipers... so it's impossible to find anyone and everyone else has a shit game because of that. Quarry is fine for twice that amount of players though... Raise the player limit! Those are the main flaws in my opinion. I can do without mods, being able to lean, and I don't need to use the console... so I can't complain too much about the lack of all those. They should still bring them back though. The gameplay itself is great though. The amount of customisation for all the weapons, perks, equipment etc. is awesome, way better than CoD4. The challenges too, way more of them. This would be one of the best games ever if they addressed the above issues.

Stories like this don't even make me double take anymore. That's what's so sad about this.

Shit. Spec Ops is way more awesome when you play it co-op! Me and my mate just completed the Alpha and Bravo missions on veteran mode. Probably do the other sets tomorrow.
