Yes it would be really cool if they made a connection with the new main character to some characters from past GTA games. So Jerkov could possibly be a relative and maybe would help this new protagonist start out his new life in Liberty and turning it into a bad one. Leading him back into the crime business again.

Hmm, could be a possibility but if he was a business man, he would be a corrupt business man. I'm sure he'll be involved in many crimes and will probably start a new Russian Mafia in Liberty City. Who do you think they would feud with if he indeed started a new Russian Mafia? The Leone Mafia, Yakuza (if they're still active), a completely new mob possibly an Irish one?

You could've mentioned this is my topic but whatever. I read all the info and yeah it seemed at bit possible at first but then ps3 player's and Cloud's comments changed my mind.

Haha taking my quote for returning to Moscow for unfinished businness eh ps3 player? Jokes. Yeah sorry I forgot Salvatore died in GTA3 just somehow past my mind. I like Bear's idea where the first couple of missions are set in Moscow and then you go to L.C. I agree with you guys and think that he has a hard a dark and evil past and he wants to get away from all that hence why he travelled to L.C. He tries to start out a "new clean life" but he gets dragged back into the mob and something like that. It just has to be a creative and new storyline instead of the "rags to riches" storyline that we've had in the past couple of games (taken from GamesRadar I believe).

Yeah man everything would be much, much crappier. Did you see all the cool things and graphics in the trailer? The PS2 would never be able to handle stuff like that. Tommorow I'm gonna find out if they sell GameInformer mags around here.

Ooo and for a lot of GTA gamers here that would be awesome. Well not for me cause I have a crappy PC but whatever. The graphics look phenomenal using the "not so new" RAGE engine, the water, lighting, smoke effects and people look awesome. Man this game is gonna rock!

Yeah and the whole environment looks present time-ish so yeah I would say somewhere in the last 5 years for sure. Probably like GTA3 it will be present time though.

Yeah the parking tickets would be a fun little jokes. Yeah about the "Screamer" rollercoaster I can almost guarantee you will be able to ride it. In fact I'm betting that there's going to be a mission where you have to do something on the rollercoaster like snipe some people, catch them, etc. Good ideas cygnus12 and welcome to the forums man!

Edit: Looked over most of the stuff and even though I don't know a lot of stuff about computers it doesn't take a genius to know that Vista sucks. So what are you suggestions for me buying a new computer? Buy one with XP or wait until Vista somehow gets better?

Woah, ARTIE ghostface you gotta stop double and even triple posting man. I know you're new to the forums but if you wanna add on to your ideas press the edit button at the bottom right corner of your post. If you continue I'm sure you will get a warning. But either than that, great ideas and welcome to the forums! Why is everybody hitting on the Russian guy? We've only seen him for like 10-15 seconds and heard him say one quote. Don't I'm sure the more footage we see of him and when GTA IV is finally released you won't be disappointed. Like Jagoboy said he's cool and mysterious. We don't know much about him but his past seems dark and horrific which seems like a great upcoming storyline. Just hold your horses before judging him when we've barely seen him. Hell, we don't even know what his name is. I know so many Russian names so many are rushing through my head right now like Andrei, Dimitri, Igor, and many, many more.

Well I think he tried but it never went past the installation process so I don't know what to do. I was planning to get a new computer with Vista installed, why does it suck so much? Limited compatability with some programs?

It did? I didn't notice but don't worry about it. It's just a beta and I'm sure by the final release R* will fix the bug. Everything else is super realistic though. Like that water.

Can anyone get a zoom in of the person's face in the blue car because I think it might just be a ped. Some people said the person in the car had blond hair and that would be really weird for this new character.

Nice articles, thanks for posting them up Chris. Some rumours almost look look like a definite such as online multiplayer, more destructable environment and much more. The resemblance of the redesigned Liberty City and real life New York are great too and I gotta say, it looks really accurate!

Watching this movie called "The Cookout" that I found when I was flicking through channels. It's pretty funny.

Meh, not so much IMO. The Leonidas looks much more fierce and stronger and stuff. You probably just think that cause he's got a beard. 300 was awesome though, I'm gonna get it when it comes on DVD.

Yeah I can't way to get a little bio on him. In the GameInformer issue they will most likely have all the info. So I can't wait for that. I wonder if this new character will encounter some of the old characters we all know and love. Salvatore, Toni, maybe even Claude again (would be boring though cause he doesn't talk just looks cooler cause of the graphics) and how about 8 Ball.

Yeah if R* just started remaking all the games it would be really cool but not creative at all. I think this will only be the case for GTA IV though and then there will be new places. But if GTA IV had a different city either than Liberty that would be insane seeing how big the "new" L.C. is. If they there Vice City in there the game would be huge! It will probably be in Liberty City only.

Thanks just the whole new Russian guy made me think and I just came up with it. Nate you should comment instead of telling ps3 player that there's a point about talking about the next GTA.
