COD4, I'm level 4 on 7th prestige now.
-
It would have been a miracle if a completely new GTA, with all the features from SA would come out this year. I knew it wasn't true, because Tokyo was mentioned as a setting previously for both SA and GTA4, I think. Definitely GTA4.
-
Burnout Paradise, earning easy trophies. Will play COD4 later tonight with some guys from another forum, as well.
-
^ Have you got any game shops, or shops that stock games, in your local area? Surely there has to be a few of them.

PS3: Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Motorstorm Gran Turismo 5 Prologue GTA4 COD4 Modern Warfare COD5 World At War MGS4 Sons Of The Patriots FIFA 08 FIFA 09 Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Civilisation Revolution Fallout 3 Burnout Paradise

I don't want to derail the topic, but I agree. It just reminds me of those awful scratch and sniff things from the 90's. More specifically, the closest smell and videogames came together was for FIFA 2001 on PS1 - a scratch and sniff disc, 'smell the pitch!', disgusting.

Another bump. Man U are playing Chelsea at the moment, not a lot has happened so far. Lampard got booked early on, but it's been fairly quiet so far. As for Liverpool, yesterdays draw with Stoke shows they don't have the firepower to win the title. EDIT: 2-0 to Man U, not long left! Vidic, a header in first half stoppage time, and Rooney scored seconds ago. Surely Man U will win now? EDIT 2: 3-0, Chelsea have been awful, LOL. Berbatov stabbed in from a Ronaldo free kick, I believe.

They were talking about PS4 just as much as PS3, further down the article, even though it was just speculation. Also, off-topic:
-
Sony supposedly have a 10 year plan for PS3, so if anything happens from this, which tbh is pretty unlikely, it'll be at least 7 years away. I won't be holding my breath, however. To add to this, I don't know anyone who would wear 3D glasses while playing games, it just feels too fake and gimmicky. It is only a prototype as well, so it could just fizzle out into nothing. I have no doubts it would be amazing to look at though, didn't they test it on GT5 Prologue? They couldn't have picked a better game if they did.

I can finish Fallout 3 any time I want now, but I'm too busy finding all the locations and then levelling up to max level, got about 1 level and a half to go. BTW, also got the trophy for finding 100 locations, it's quite easy actually, but the Deathclaws in the game get annoying after a while, so I try to ignore them. I'll be playing COD4 in about 1 hour, for a while, trying to get to the 7th prestige.

GTA Don - judging by the DS adverts, only people over 30 play the DS, so it doesn't really matter. And I 'third' the 'playing while shitting' method, it's a great way to avoid your relatives at Xmas.
-
No surprise here, but I actually expected a 15, because the DS has crappy graphics. I doubt there would be much dialogue, I think it'll mostly be text, but if there's over 2 HOURS of cut-scenes, then there has to be some sort of voiceover. I think it might operate like MGS Portable Ops, with the animated comic scenes.

Cheers. Err, I'm level 40 something on prestige 6, haven't played it for a few days due to work, but I'll play it tonight. Still a LONG way to go.

Snow Storm Crack Mission = impossible
The Bossman replied to Righty's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
The easiest way I do it is, get a fast car before the mission - I had a Sentinel. Smash it through the front fence, knock it all down so it's easy to get to for the escape. Go up the ladder around the back of the house, and snipe the enemies from above, then go down and take out the remaining enemies. Work out your route to the back door, before you pick up the drugs, and then when the cut-scene finishes, just run and gun, preferably with the shotgun. You should get out fairly easily, but outrunning the cops is slightly more difficult. That's the way I did it. Personally, I found Three Leaf Clover harder, especially when escaping, but not when shooting. -
What mission are you currently at?
The Bossman replied to Victor_Vance's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
I finished it first time back in early May, but I recently did it all again for the trophies. Getting 100% is actually quite possible for me, there's not as much annoying shit you have to do like in the PS2 games - Ambulance, Police, Taxi, yawn. It's getting all the pigeons that'll probably push me over the edge, however, even with the guide - I haven't checked off the pigeons I've killed. ^ 5 times over? I think IV is good, but San Andreas is more fun to roam around in, despite it being 5 years old. -
SR is crap, GTA4 is much better, and the dates are optional, as is everything else. You only have to do 1 date in the whole game, and that's it. I'm sure someone will mod GTA4 to include parachutes and other things, but clearly that won't be good enough for you, either. And Spider-Vice, you're right, the graphics are absolute dogshit.

Well, today I got a nice little surprise when I opened my University e-mail. I applied for a Bursary back in September - a Bursary is a fairly large cash sum you receive to help with Uni needs, but I live at home so it's for equipment. I filled out all the forms and handed them in, but I wasn't expecting to get anything, because my families income is fairly high, but if you don't ask, you don't get. I asked, and I found out I'm getting just over £500 in 2 instalments, which is brilliant. I'll be taking out about £150 of that for leisure, and leave the rest in my account.

COD WAW, getting back into it now. Loads of my PSN friends are around midway through their first prestige, so I have a way to go. I'm level 50 on my first playthrough, but I can't see myself going 10 prestiges. I'd get bored of it before then, but you never know. Unbelievable to see there are loads of 10 prestigers already, with an average play time of around 20 days.

^ Cheers. Occasionally, the game will just quit, and say that the software can't run correctly, and it's freaked me out several times now. I think it's down to the firmware, because I've heard reports of people's PS3s breaking because of faulty firmware updates.
-
Has anyone had the problem when the PS3 says it can't run the software correctly, or something like that? Because I've had it twice now, and I've done nothing to make it crash or glitch. It still works, but I'm a bit worried about that. Christ, I thought the PS3 was supposed to be durable. Level 30 something on prestige 6 on COD4 now, I do want to get to prestige 10, level 55 soon.
-
Macrae, heh. I've lost all interest in NFS, although Underground was pretty good at the time.
-
Fallout 3. Wow, what a game. Not sure if I'll ever finish it, however, but I'm loving it so far.

Guys on Playstation Network Are Sexually Harrasing Me!
The Bossman replied to Husky's topic in Members' Lounge
^ Age, Sex, Live, so how old you are, Male or Female, and where you live. Is it possible to hack into some sort of server and get the PSN IDs of thousands of users, or did they just scan forums across the net like some sad loser, looking to piss people off? It's pointless, whatever way they managed to do it. -
I was in the first few months of Uni life entering into 2008, and I finished my 1st year around June 08, with some pretty decent results. The work schedule for my 2nd year is hectic though, not sure if I'll pass this year ATM. The credit crunch was horrendous, causing widespread mayhem around the globe. Shares plummeted, shops that have been around for decades are suddenly closing down due to lack of incoming funds and spiralling costs, food, gas, water, electricity, and pretty much everything else we need every single day rose to very expensive heights, etc. I hope it ends soon, so things get back to normal. In terms of Sport, the Olympics were an absolute joy to watch, so much British talent winning medals, and the opening and closing ceremonies were the best I've ever seen. No way can London top that in 2012. Euro 2008 was brilliant as well, even though England failed to qualify under the moron Steve McClaren. It was more enjoyable to watch with England not in the competition though, I have to reluctantly admit. Also, Manchester United won the Champions League for the 2nd time in dramatic style - when John Terry stepped up, for me that was it, but when he slipped and missed, my heart jumped back out of my mouth, then almost exploded when Anelka missed and Chelsea lost the shootout. Films, The Dark Knight was definitely the best film I saw last year, I've watched it about 5 times now, and it just doesn't get boring or predictable, it's amazing. Iron Man was another wonderful action hero movie, excellently paced, with a great story. Wall.E I haven't seen YET - I have it on Blu-Ray, but I've heard it's the best ever Pixar film, so looking forward to that. 2 other films I haven't seen which I own on DVD - There Will Be Blood, and No Country For Old Men, both critically acclaimed. Rambo shocked and entertained in equal measure, but really strong scenes of gore throughout. Indiana Jones returned, although the film was average really, and Quantum of Solace was OK as well, but not spellbinding like Casino Royale was. Probably one of my funniest moments was when Boris Johnson was elected as London major - the guy is a buffoon! But then again, George Bush was President of America, and he's the most stupid man to have ever existed. For music, I'm not sure about my favourite album yet, there were quite a few, but Viva La Vida stood out quite a lot - a radical change of sound for Coldplay and probably the best music they've ever produced. There's really too much to talk about, so many reforming of bands - Spice Girls, Guns N Roses, etc, and reunions - Led Zepplin, I'd need a whole day to write a decent round-up. That's about all I have to say for now, but more things will come to me, I'm sure. Usually in the middle of the night.
