Just 4 days left now until COD5, can't wait for it. People who've played the Beta are saying it's better than COD4, which is hard to believe, but I'm still getting it on launch day. And did anyone hear about LittleBigPlanet levels being deleted because of copyright? Another sort of mini-bump. What consoles did you own in the past - a Playstation or Xbox? If you owned an Xbox, I understand why you're getting a 360, but PS3 is probably the better option, long term. Realistically, if you think about it, the 360 will probably be around for another 2 years and then a better one will come out, whereas the PS3 could be around for another 5 years or more. I know Xbox has more exclusives because of Bill Gates, but I'd honestly get a PS3, or wait for the next Xbox. Besides, the Xbox needs a new storage format, DVD isn't really big enough, and because of that, PS3 titles are being hampered due to the lack of space on the 360. If the Xbox had Blu-Ray, there wouldn't be a problem at all.

I only go for high quality games, so I'm not really bothered about this. I was happy to pay £6.99 for the COD4 Variety Map pack a few months ago, but when it's just additional costumes and the like, I'm not interested. Like Motorstorm, releasing individual tracks and vehicles, I couldn't care less.

Red Devil, rent Quantum of Solace. It's apparently an underwhelming game, but definitely get COD5. All the previews so far look great. Just 4 days until it's out in the UK now. Off topic, I'm about level 18 on COD4 on my 4th prestige, or 5th, depending on whether the first playthrough counts.

In terms of the 1st question, I'd say keep it as it is, and have the option to change it to what you want. If you changed the length of the screen, the website would look stretched on my screen because I don't think mine is widescreen. I've had the PC and monitor for 7 years now, so I think you should keep it the same and have the option of changing it. That'd be fair for everyone. All other changes sound cool, but please bear in mind my point.

^ Err, no idea. I just entered into a deathmatch, looking to kill 20 guys with a pistol for a trophy. I killed this guy with a Desert Eagle from far away, and then I got the trophy, which was weird. He wasn't dressed in pants, though. He had full clothes on. There must be a few of them around if the trophy is only Bronze, I thought it'd be a Silver one at least. I'm gonna try and get a few more Trophies tonight, I'll see how I go.

There's at least another 30 trophies I want to get, but the 1 trophy that has me stumped is the Taking A Liberty one, I have no idea what that is. There were some stupid rumours that you have to explore every square inch of the world, and then you get the trophy, but that's bullshit, surely? BTW, I may have earned 13 trophies actually, I think I've got Teamplayer as well - kill 5 opposing team members.

I think this is worth checking out, so I'll download the update and give it a go. BTW, off topic but, I got my first 2 trophies on Uncharted yesterday.

If it was literally 2 people online, and not 2 members, then there's cause for concern. A lot of people are probably at school/Uni/College anyway.

Your friend is 'pulling your leg', there are no aliens or bigfoots or anything like that in GTA, and there never will be. It's all conjecture.

And, in turn, I have to disagree with you also. I've played the PES 2009 demo numerous times, and it's crap. The gameplay is now slow and clunky, even worse than last years versions. ATM, PES is a joke. I wouldn't even bother with the demo, waste of bandwidth. They HAVE fixed the slowdown in the replays, but solving a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place, then expecting you to pay £40 for a game even worse than the previous version, is stupid. FIFA, on the other hand, is now the better football game. The ball bobbles around like it should, passing moves can be quick and incisive or slow and deliberate, and the shooting is much improved upon from last years version, when all you could do was score tap-ins and nothing else. And just because PES has the pretty CL logo, trophy and the music, doesn't mean it's the better game. The commentary is abysmal, the graphics are barely above average, the gameplay is sub-standard, there are LESS licenses than before, the A.I is still brain dead, and the ball physics are non existent. You can score great goals with any player in FIFA, if you're skilled enough at the game. Just because 9 times out of 10 you score with a big name player in the area, doesn't mean the game is too easy. It just shows the gulf in class between skilled and average players. Trust me, if you play the full version of FIFA 09 for a few hours, the line between real and videogame football narrows significantly. It's the best football game I've ever played, and that's a huge compliment.

The PES demo is good, quite slow paced, but it's alright. It still doesn't feel like football, the 8 directions you can run in make it feel fake, and I know FIFA is the same but the animations in that game are much better than PES's. The shooting is good, but the defenders close down quickly, and the passing could be better. I liked it, but I've kind of moved on from PES now. I got FIFA 09 the other day, and that's what a Football game should be about. It's completely changed from last years version. The passing moves are fast and slick, you can score long range belters - I scored a few with Berbatov and Rooney, it's fun to pass the ball around and build up your attacks, and online is excellent - the 10 vs 10 online play is superb, if a little laggy, but that's to be expected. 1 on 1 games are great as well. I might download the Bioshock demo this evening, I'm rather busy with Uni work now.

However, a dude who added me on his friends list says he's willing to offer me some of his stuff, if I buy some more things from the store, including the LittleBigPlanet beta. I've bought the Variety Map pack so far for COD4. BTW, the PES2009 demo is now out on the PSN store, you can now download that demo and the FIFA 09 demo and work out which one to buy this year. I haven't even played the PES demo and I've bought FIFA 09, I know I made the right choice.

Cool! I don't mind playing through the game again. I generally don't like Trophies, it's just another form of cock-waving, but this is a good addition if it's true.

Not playing anything right this second, but yesterday I was playing COD4 and I just reached level 55 for the second time. I haven't unlocked Prestige yet though, but I probably will today and tomorrow. I'm also trying to improve my accuracy, it's around 19.20%, something like that. I want it over 30%. EDIT: Okay, so now I'm level 9 I think, on my 3rd Prestige. Gotta earn it all again now.

Another update of Firefox 3 was released 3 days ago - Firefox 3.0.2. Release notes here - http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/3.0.2/releasenotes/. I haven't even downloaded the 3.0.1 version, I still get that stupid box each time you try to open Firefox, something about the Javascript. I'll download it now.

3 games over the last few days: GTA4 - mucking around on Free Mode in the multiplayer. COD4 - rising through the ranks, I'm about 10 levels away from my 3rd prestige. Ratchet & Clank (PS3) - pretty fun game, much better than the PS2 versions.

Justice at last, this arsehole had it coming.

Windowstill - The Arcade Fire

I went to the Learners Advice Session, which was weird, basically. All you had to do was go and get your results, then fill out some forms and you're done. It wasn't a meeting at all. Thankfully, I passed! So I progress into my 2nd year at Uni, which will be much tougher than the 1st year. I have about 10 assignments this year, around double from last year, and it'll only get harder, but I'm confident I can do it. I start on the 30th.
