Nope. No friend request. I signed in, just to check if there were any new demos or a new trailer of GTA IV, then this little box comes up telling me I have a message. So I read it, sounded convincing, they told me to reply with a "Yes" and I did. Not sure if it's legit or just some scam.
Where was the message? You can't get sent a message if you're not friends with someone on there. If you didn't know them prior to sending it then it would come through as a friend request.

I logged in on PSN and I got a message about a beta of GTA IV from Rockstar Games. Saying that I should try out a beta of GTA IV. Has anyone else got this? I even have pictures. But I'm not sure if it's real or not. But I replied and said yes anyways lol.
So was there a friend request? How did they send you the message?

Looks good so far I'm inspired to do something GTA IV related but I don't know what.
There are tons of things to do. Just look at what everyone else has done so far; videos, pictures, murals, modding their 360s along with many other things. Just brain storm a bit and one might pop into your head.

About a month ago I started making this collage of GTAIV artwork and I'm getting close to finishing it. I figured since today is exactly one month before GTAIV's release, that I should at least release something.
So here's the unfinished collage...which I'll finish, i've just been busy with school and work...
The finished product will be much better...as you could tell, there are some empty spots.

No I won't ever sell it. I've thought about giving it away in competitions on the site (like a few other sites have done recently) but I actually quite like having all the swag. Even though I never really use/wear any of it
LOL, sort of like how I've been buying T-shirts and hats and never wearing them...I'm not much of a hat guy...Would if someone offered $2,000 for all of your stuff???

Those are ones we (the fansite webmasters) got in the recent hidden packages, I wonder who the hell he is, he claims it's all he got in the package. I'm sure Original GTA Master will be interested in buying this though!
I've been watching those on eBay for about two days now, but I don't think I'm gonna get those ones. I've found some better deals for the same shirts. I have about 26 GTA items I'm watching that consist of licnese plates and other memorabilia from these hidden packages such as those T-shirts.
A lot of the people selling these things say that they got them from work such as places like Game Stop. So I guess Rockstar isn't just sending this stuff to webmasters of popular websites.

You've got about 5 months before it's released, which is insulting compared to the release date for the American version. I don't care though, I'm not getting it. BTW, here, is a link to unblock the censoring for Manhunt 2, basically giving you the original banned game in full. Even better, if you buy an Action Replay device, you can just enter a code to unblock the censored content. On GTA San Andreas for the PS2, there's a code to unlock the 'hot coffee' situation, although I haven't tried it yet. Just goes to show that there's always a way to get around the authorities, doesn't it.Due for release on 29/08/2008.What's an "Action Replay device"???

There is no way CJ is any where close to being as tought as any of the other GTA characters. He's the biggest wimp in the series.

This is a great idea but i do not see why there are so many people saying that with leaderboards, we will see who the best GTA players are. ( This goes for other games that have such a leaderboard type thing ) It does not show how good of a player you are, only how much time you play the game as that is all it is. I will say this for the last time. THERE IS NO SKILL INVOLVED IN GAMES!......Still it is a nice add on to what is already an EPIC game! But please stop with the best player business...It just ruins games.....
Some leader boards show how many kills you have and what not. Knowing Rockstar, they might put something on there that resemble the stats we've seen in previous games in the series. There are skills involved in playing videos games, but are extremely easy to aquire.
I totally agree with you with your last statement. Competitions are only fun if everyone enjoys them.

Either way this has so much potential and the amount of shit we can get up to that relates to the social club is immense. I can see GTA IV being a game that we play for years and activity won't drop as much as it does on other games, there's just so much to do.
Well I won't be able to face you or most of the other members on here because I have a PS3.

We must all be fans of R* games, so I think this post is relevant.
As some of you may know, R* have won the appeal against the BBFC and the game has been granted a UK release (about bloody time, if I don't say so myself!)
Unfortunately, though, I do believe that much of the original violence we played through on the first instalment has been edited on the sequel. Yes, I know, it's a sad time for gaming. We will never understand their logic....
Anyway, a lot of you seem to obtain info on R* publications before it has even left the announcers mouth, so, I was wondering whether anyone knows when the new release date will be? Any news is welcome including info on game play.
The UK hasn't gotten it yet???

Sorry for the double post, but someone on eBay is selling a pretty exact duplicate of the GTAIV 360 skin(360 not included). Just wanted to let everyone know.

The controls seem pretty cool. You could mount ladders and I'm assuming you have to break into vehicles on your own, no cinematic thing...which I find AWESOME.
