  1. In real life, I'm pretty good at drawing (Since I did a GCSE in Art) and I've used photoshop for most of my works, and it's became a successful tool for me! Always has really. But when I first started learning, I kinda clicked everyshit and saw what it would do. Then I went onto the tutorials and started learning it the real way, I think the first time was just to get use to the interfaces Photoshop had.
  2. Oh Shi- Damn this thing called stress. Heh. Well I'm back from college, so here you go Nate: - Sorry about before mate, It was the morning, like 8 AM and I was tired, didn't think. Anyways enjoy mate.
  3. Okay, done it for you Nate: And Dame, I'll get back to you on that one, something that has some sleek look on it and something which has a bit of grunge. That's all really. Dunno any names, but there's a shit load of good fonts in DaFonts.
  4. Alright, done something: I chose dark blue for some reason, and added an abstract background. Hope this pleases you.
  5. I think it's all pretty good Chris, colour scheme is pretty good and the way everything else that's positioned seems good enough. Just the image Holly Valance, she looks a little scary at some point. Probably should the change the picture of her and get a more sexy one of her. Those grunge effects are good, but the colour is similar to the image which is sitting in the center, and it doesn't look to right. Anyways I downloaded your sig and changed a few things: - Basically, the things I changed in the sig was the picture of Holly. Removed the black BG on the pic and once I cut it up, I selected the image and used the Feather Tool ony. Used about 5px of that tool, and already it looks like an improvement on her. Then the grunge effect needed a different colour, so I just used a more darker and clearer blue colour and it worked. Then the middle part, well I kept the colour to what you set, then I used a Layer Mask and used the gradient (Black colour to transparent) and cleared off the end bits so they fade in, probably nothing to worry over, but it just looked like it was cut-out. Oh and yes, I use the grunge effect alot as well for most of my sigs, and I hear a shitload of people saying it's shit and overdone, well you know what? Fuck those cunts Grunge is FTW. J/k. Actually, grunge is only good when you place it on the right type images/backgrounds, it doesn't look good when you're using it on a horrible image/background. Oh and Evo, grunge can be dirty/messy/rough but it all depends on what type of brush pack you're using. Hope this helps. - Oh and uploaded the .PSD as well.
  6. Bold: Lol? No one hasn't commented on it? I Guess this all explains 1 man's random, badly thought out speculation. The truth is GTA IV has become better than San Andreas, and will be soon when it comes out on PC. San Andreas was great, and has been like that for what... 5 years? Maybe it's time for a new game to rise and take over San Andreas, and most likely, that's going to be GTA IV.
  7. I can grow a goatee but it would take me time, which is unfortunate. Some people think I'm evil if I have a goatee, so I just shave it off with a razor, in fact, more hair grows on my face in like a week, but it's all messy at some point.
  8. Yeah I get the exact same as claude: This isn't accurate to be honest with you, I'm running on a: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.40Ghz 4GB RAM Nvidia GeForce 9500GT 512MB 500GB HDD (300GB Left) This should easily go onto the end of the scale. Other games like CoD4 and WaW go on high for me, Crysis is just on the Recommended Line and Far Cry 2 I can max out but is only like 2 bits away from the end of the scale. I guess once IV comes out, it might change, but it might not.
  9. we has not talked in a loong time.

    Wassup?

  10. Not a fan of cartoon's anymore since I'm old, but yeah, nice sig mate. Do what Toxic said, it looks like your trying to advertise Ben10. Everything else seems good.
  11. Hey mate, I'll send you my MSN now in PM. I don't check my PM's too much. Oh and I just want to tell that your work is awesome, but don't save as .JPEG anymore, .PNG will make your work look good, and whatever you make in photoshop, will be what you get when you upload it and post in the forums, that's why .PNG is a good extension to use in GFX. And next time, get a good image, not something like that bike which had been fucked over. And whatever you're cutting out, make sure to use the magnetic/polygonal/normal lasso tool. Don't use quick selection or magic wand unless you feel that image is good enough to cutout the item which your intending to cutout.
  12. Could you choose the anime character? It saves more time for me so I can get the sig done. And yes, I have time again, so I'll give it a shot later tonight.
  13. Well, Vista is on DX10 and would make the visuals better on IV, and if you go back to XP, you'll only have DX9 which basically minuses the visuals. Make sure you've placed the 2GB stick of RAM firmly in, I've realized that many people don't do this alot, but don't go crazily firm with the stick of RAM. Well, your card won't really do, unfortunately. Someone on here has a 8500GT card and when they checked it out on SystemRequirementsLab it didn't even pass the recommended, but I wouldn't rely on that site alot considering it's not that accurate. Get a 8800GT, or ATi Radoen 4850.
  14. Trying out some brushes, looks damn good. Also, I just updated my topic, there's most of my graphics I feel proud of, hopefully soon, more will come, and I will remove my amateur work I did a year ago.
  15. We think it's a cutout because it looks like it has been cutout from an image. If you used the rubber tool, it's going to make your work either way look horrible and depending on what type of brush you used. You also said that there's no text, just the bike... Well if you ask me, I could do that in just a few seconds, without worrying about the image itself. You should focus more on the image, cause it looks all horrible, like it was all done in paint. The text is probably the most important part of a sig, so you should also focus on making it feel like it's there. But one thing that doesn't suit it well is the image. It's all be messed up either because of your use of filters (Supposedly most filters make it the image look horrible). Show us the image also, I just want to see the quality of it before you shooped' it. Edit: Did something to your sig: I tried refining the edges, but it didn't look refined due to your red background, just made it look like it wouldn't work, so I used the glow feature which sort of made it work. Make sure to save it as a .PNG and NOT a .JPG or .JPEG. cause it makes it look all pixeled, and de-colourises most of the picture, sorry about removing the other parts of your sig, I couldn't copy them since I was working more on the bike, so I added some of my magic to it (my "Magic" may not suit you, but it's just for making up about removed those other parts). Hope this helps.
  16. Hmm well, there's a few things you could improve on; Firstly, improve on the cutouts of the bike. If you own CS3, use the refine edges tool, always helps me out, so should it to you. As well, make the word "Toxic" stand out more, add some brighter colours, but try to add some fades to it (Layer Mask then use the gradient tool consisting of a black to transparent gradient). Borders make some peoples work look complete, so instead of adding a 1px black border, do this; Add a 2px white border, then a 1px black border and see what happens. It's good being simplistic, but don't always go for that style, sometimes it's just dull really, and doesn't show appeal.
  17. It's true Rockstar want the money, but they're going to get the money after the games released, this obviously states the fact now that they're going to have to create such a fine quality game in order to get their money, and the more they sell, the more they get. And no, the game will continue going on as it's already became a successful series and now that they have such technology like Euphoria and their new and improved RAGE, nothing will stop them from getting anywhere. Games are created from a PC, so why not let the PC gamers have a chance to experience the full length of what the developers have been through when they were creating it. PC games will never die, as it's was made from a PC itself. So why take off PC from the list? Some people don't own 360's or PS3's like most people do, so PC seems better. Plus, graphics can go more further on the PC than on consoles.
  18. The delay for North America is moved to 3rd of December. You live in Europe, so it was already the 3rd December for us Europeans.
  19. I'm not going to lock it, it's a good topic of discussion, but members must have misinterpreted your post as a rant, not as your own opinion. But from what I see, it is clear that it's money worries, but it shouldn't be a problem for you, your PC is pretty decent to run it, it's just the graphics may not be on top.
  20. I just have a certain knowledge on computer systems. It would be cool though to work with Rockstar Games. Getting back to reality, your rig I think can run it decently. Graphics card may be a tad problem, but it shouldn't affect anything else really.
  21. Well if you look at the specs, it shows: NVIDIA 8600 is the card that apparently can max it out or anything higher, so I think a 9600GT should run it. I'm currently on a 9500GT and that's actually a decent card, so hopefully that could run it. Don't take my words for it though, it may not run decently.
  22. Ever heard of testing? These specs are right, and note, it's not a lie if it's been placed on their official website. If you want to run the game properly, then those recommended specs you see on their site are the real deal, whether you like it or not. But I can tell you something mate, if it was any lower, the game wouldn't preform well. Firstly, the processor for recommended is a Quad Core processor, isn't it? They are using a program which is called Euphoria for the game physics, and to actually make that work well with the game, you're gonna need a hardcore processor to run it at it's finest. The game itself is graphically heavier than Crysis, so you'll need a good GFX card to run that, even if it doesn't look like the most greatest graphics you've seen, it won't even look nice if you used a shitty graphics card. If you're running on a single core processor, it's going to be a real problem when you play it. Rockstar are actually professionals at their job, if you didn't know, and if their word was wrong, then obviously they would remove those specs and redo their testing to get the right result. They haven't removed it at all, so obviously they are right, and they aren't lying. If they were lying then alot of people will complain about it, but the fact is no one would lie to the public if it's the right specs or not. Rockstar games are developers and will tell the truth, they're not lying, and never have. If a game developer was like that, they wouldn't last long in the game developing industry, and no one would buy their games, but the fact is no one would do such a thing. This a next gen game, if you haven't seen, you'll expect it to be high because of it's latest technology. We're not returning to San Andreas mode anymore, we're playing latest games, using the latest technology. So the sum it up, game developers don't lie, it's true some make mistakes, but this isn't a mistake, this is the official truth. I'm not trying to brag or anything, but if you believe this is wrong, you shouldn't be telling us, tell Rockstar and hear it from them, I bet they will say the same thing. But I do agree with you that they do mistakes, and not everyone is perfect, but at this point and at this stage, they can't lie, and certainly won't.
  23. Rockstar Games make enough money so there's really no problem. And releasing it the same time as the console version would make it no different to what it's soon to have. And if you haven't seen the news recently, the video editor which is being most talked about it is coming to the PC, and will give great things to do on the PC version.e The specs may seem high from what you think, but it's what Rockstar placed on their site, and to be honest, it seems right, even if you can't afford it. And you wouldn't expect GTA IV to be graphically like San Andreas, do you? This is one HUGE step for GTA IV, and if you don't think the specs are calculated properly, then why the hell would of they posted it in the first place? It's right. Live with it. Oh and the specs are official, check out Rockstar's GTAIV page. It's your call whether you buy the PC version or not, some people can't afford a console, and some countries don't own consoles (None that I know of). A PC release will benefit me, along with other gamers who don't have a console. And for one thing, I don't think Rockstar Games messed up, I think their heading into the right direction. This game has already met it's true standards, and is going to go higher once the PC version is out. The standards on the PC version will be better, graphics wise, and a bit in Feature wise (Video editor mainly, as it's said to be addicting). I can see where you're coming from, but I think every game developer will be greedy once they release a game, it's just for popularity and if protection is made, it's obvious to the fact that they will still get people to buy it. Plus the reason it gets cracked is because this game is so popular everyone wants to play, so they will get even more popular, either way.
  24. I've had this bug before, it pauses, but it hasn't happened to me from around, say what, July 2007? That was quiet a while and hasn't happened to me at all. I just think it's the Youtube video itself, sometimes it happens because the video hasn't been uploaded properly (Which is most unlikely the cause), but it could also be the video that's been uploaded (How long it is etc.). And note, IE is ftl, never going to use it, but even though it sucks, Firefox also has it's flaws, which is unfortunate.
