Hole Shit, Alvas, you cease to amaze me. I love the effect which makes the car look like it's going ultra fast. Dude, I really want to learn how you do that effect (Coming from someone who should of learnt this before ). I dunno if you used brushes, but whatever that brush pack is, could you tell, if it's not, then could you post the tutorial you got this effect from? It looks real amazing mate. You've improved from zero to like number 100. Heh, good work Alvas, keep it up. I believe Toxic would be amazed with your work.

I just realized, and wow. Switch, I don't know if you're reading this or not, fact is, you wouldn't care nonetheless. But I've seen some of your good mods, and they're pretty damn good, Even myself and some of my friends outside websites think it's cool. But you can't go and ask people for donations to keep your modding work going, even if you're in a crisis where you're not having money coming in, either way, you can't get money out of modding, as you weren't the creator of GTA, were you? Like Chris said above, you're good at 3D modelling, that's a good skill to have, and you can get a job on something like that in America. Fact is everyone is going through their own problems right now, especially with the Economy. If you can run the game barely on minimum, there's no problem there, as long as you can still create modifications for it, and if you're getting these problems of such like buildings and stuff not showing, maybe you should wait until Rockstar release a patch for those fixes, then you can see all the buildings and stuff, thus leading you into creating your mods again. And if you really want a gaming machine, you might as well wait, shit is happening at the moment, and getting a Hardcore gaming PC will cost you the shit, and begging will make things only worse, mate. If you don't have a good PC, so what? That doesn't stop you from modding GTA IV, I say wait until the patch comes out, because a post from you in GTAF said something about textures not appearing and that you won't be able to mod and stuff. Wait until Rockstar fix the problem up. I dunno whether you'll be back to normal, but I wouldn't blame you, fact is, Rockstar horribly optimized the game, and not only have they done that, everyone is complaining that it doesn't look good. Economy is already facing a big downfall as it is, and it's going to take it's time to get big again. I say keep your cool, even if you don't produce the top mods, just keep your cool. And good luck to whatever holds the future for you, hopefully you'll be earning the money you need to buy a new PC!

When I saw the topic title, I thought Rockstar Games were literally leaving America, until I read the whole topic. Australia seems like a nice place for Grand Theft Auto, but does Australia approve of them actually making a game, where we can literally run over someone, and in a hot sunny place like Australia? I wouldn't know what they would say, but the fact is, seeing Australia having the edited version of GTA IV, I'm guessing there's a possibility that their may be, but I don't think they would like it. It would be cool though, I mean, move away from America and try a new place out and see what it's like. But they tend to use America more often in most of their games. For the UK, I'm guessing The Getaway was the only game that had similar stuff GTA, only that it was in the UK. I don't really mind having a GTA in the UK, would be pretty cool, but The Getaway was the only title I know who made their game successful in a UK based environment. GTA would do good too, but the idea of having it in the UK makes me think it's gonna be like the next Getaway. I dunno about the rest though, seems their wouldn't be potential in those places.

I don't smoke, never have, never will. Smoking has never crossed my mind, nor has it pleaded me to take it, but I've never had no interest whatsoever with a cigarette. I'm strong not to take it, even if I'm around it, it smells horrible, forcing me to move away from it. My friends take it, and even when I'm near them, it doesn't make me want to try, because no matter what it does, it's not going to make me addicted, and neither is it going to make me try it. So you could call me a non-smoker who is around people that smoke. One of my friends smoke in and out, meaning he stops for 1 month, then returns, stops for 3 months and starts. It's pretty much the same with my other friends. But my friends from school, well, their friends started smoking so they followed their example, some of them hated it and I told them; "Why did you take it in the first place?". They never answered. So yeah, you could say smoking is a good thing, if you have headaches (Don't know how that remedy's you), but for those who hate it, I guess they'll be stuck with it for a while, unless they have a mind to quit.

Hey smartboy4, Use DxDiag (Click on Search and enter in "dxdiag"). Print screen it and upload here. That is of course if you don't know your system that accurately. Your graphics card seems decent, possibly could run it on low/medium possibly. Probably might want to upgrade your processor, speed isn't that good. RAM is good so no worry about that. But post your dxdiag, it will help us alot more.

Materialism more like. Materialism is actually the right word to explain Christmas. It's all about Christmas Sales and getting what you want this Christmas. That's what everyone thinks, even if you believe you don't, that's the actual fact of what Christmas is. Some of you may not believe what I said, but I'm looking at it right now, and it's all about getting the money. Things have seriously changed since I was a kid, I'm Indian, yet I use to celebrate it. I use to love being around my family in a comfortable warm house watching Tom & Jerry or The Simpsons, and where has it ended up?... Basically in a cold hearted house where I don't have any good channels on TV, as well as getting no presents. I'm hopefully going to get myself a present, for all the hard work and shit I've been through throughout the years.

The comments idea seems nice to have, not the best idea, but is pretty essential at some point, especially when someone has a problem and wants it to be resolved by the mod owner/uploader. I also think we need to have multiple uploads as well. So say someone has made a second mod to go with the first mod, might as well upload both at the same time, that is, if they're complete. It may sound pointless, I know, but it could be useful to those who would be in that type of situation. (I don't think no one would be lol)

I know why. This may sound a little harsh, but you may of downloaded the game from an illegal source. We don't help those who have this illegally, but if you've brought it from a retail (Boxed Version), then I'm assuming reinstalling could do the trick, and make sure if you do reinstall it, remove everything (Probably not your save files, but you could if you wish to).

Holy shit, the textures on Niko look fucking nice. Considering I'm on a 9500GT 512mb card, I may not max out everything (Well no one can really), but at medium or low possibly. I may take into account of buying this game.

The hype on modding right now would've hit the sky really high, but the fact that everyone is having problems with their PC version, seems it's going to take time for them to at least mod. But is cool if you ask me that some have started. Some damn good mods will hopefully be made, but the fact that Rockstar are against modding and shit in IV, we may not be able to edit most files, probably patch it legally and change some attributes etc. But damn, this is going to be an interesting time for GTA IV PC once these problems start dropping.

Well, currently, in India, there is a war, not exactly war, but a big fight about Christians living in India, and extremists are trying to get them out of their country. It's kind of fucked up, but the fact is, there won't be any type of relief until someone stops it all, but that being India, it won't happen in a while, especially with what's been popping up recently last month and this month.

Okay, well I've just recently played on Wii before, and I have doubts now about it. Well firstly, there's not many buttons on the Wiimote and Num-chuck. It would be hard to actually create a big game with just a few buttons to it. Not that I have a problem with it, but it would be hard to play. Those who are use to the Wii controllers will obviously say that my statement is wrong, yeah. But the fact is I haven't played it that long because I'm not too interested in a Wii. But from my experience, I've realized it will just harden gameplay IMO. Another thing is the sensitivity, I mean, If you've played Call Of Duty: WaW on it, you'd see that the sensitivity is all too accruate, thus making it harder for those who tend to have shakey hands. I don't want to play a game that has too much sensitivity, just ruins the whole experience. And yes, I know they are both different games, but the fact is most games have similarities to each other (May be wrong on that). I just hope if they do make it on the Wii, they make it good.

I've already got 2 rewards, first being bad and second being good. I hope to receive an award again, something under the graphics thingy thing you'd call the "Best Graphics Maker 2008". Hopefully others who have started on their graphics could probably also be nominated too. I'd recommend though that if anyone here who's made graphics, but don't have a actual topic of all their works, should post one now with all their works, That is if they want to be nominiated and that way we could look through their topic rather than placing the only graphics we see available. Anyone who owns a graphics/signature/avatar/userbar shop in the trading stall should also post theirs, but then again, this all should be done once the nomination's start, so we know who's who. And if those who don't want to participate don't need to. I don't think this was done in the previous awards, but I guess this is more efficient than looking at one, when you could look at more, amirite? (: Oh and lol @ those who use IE7. To be honest, I use IE7/6 at college (Cause Firefox doesn't work for some reason) and I sort of got some error saying the flash script couldn't run, I dunno whether it was because the flash players update (Old or new) or if it wasn't installed, colleges just don't allow you either way to view it. :/ Anyways, good luck with the rest of the other stuff.

Yeah I'd agree with that. Vice City being probably the most successful GTA would of got a better representation of it. Not playing as Tommy Vercetti, you'd probably play as Lance, or someone else who lived right through the whole story. Damn, that would be pretty amazing, but wouldn't ever happen. But it would be a surprise if they did it, it'd bring me back to playing Vice City.

Wow. I never knew that happened. Sorry for whatever happened. Unfortunately, I wish I could help, but considering I don't know many American Sites which sell good computers, I won't be able to help. But of course I know a few English sites though (Mesh, PC Specialists etc.) but I don't think you'd benefit from them. I brought my PC from Mesh for about £577. My specs are: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz 4GB RAM 500GB HDD Nvidia GeForce 9500GT 512MB Dual Layer CD/DVD Drive, dunno much about the it. I got it at £577 (Includes VAT). Without VAT it would've costed me about £460. Plus if you think about it, the specs are pretty decent too. I think you could possibly find a PC like this at a price like that.
