I'd say V, and that the 'five' was the monetary reference. We might get a bit more from the trailer.

Really happy about this. Was instantly trying to pick apart all the elements of the logo to try and pilfer information / speculation. I suspect, as hinted above, that money is going to be a BIG factor.

You can't spell ignorance without IGN, but I might force myself to read this stuff at some point. Hopefully it's not as near-sighted as any of their other 'journalism'.

I cant seem to get rid of icenhancer 1.25 PLEASE help
MrLlamaLlama replied to nadizo's topic in GTA IV Modding
Have an update on this btw if you're even still here. Download iceEnhancer and make a note of all the files that it replaces. manually go through and delete them one by one. The run a control panel repair of the game, or a verify integrity of game cache if through steam . Just tried both, 1 me, 1 a friend. Enjoy -
In a mad attempt to grab money from dribbling morons, EA announce Need for Speed: Modern Warfare 2.

I've literally played once or twice with a couple of friends. Mostly jerking around shooting eachother, 1 or 2 races, some chopper on chopper and trying to basejump onto moving buses. Not more than an hour or 2 total though.

Just seen this on another site. Made me piss myself, was preceded by a sponsor message by EA for.... battlefield 3

Which was the first ever video game you started playing with?

Have you tried going into the directory where you installed the game and deleting the remaining files/folders there? the mod would've installed files that the installer isn't verified to so it would have left them, causing the mod to remain. -
Holy low resolution batman! Also anybody with an active cerebrum will notice that the 'screenshot' has essential stolen trees, shrubbery, road textures and overhead power cables from San Andreas. BUT WHY WOULD THIS NICE MAN FROM ROCKSTAR LIE?????? The other faked ad media is alo to small to see anything of AND easily achieved by ANYONE in Photoshop. Also it doesn't carry through any of Rockstar's design cues at all. Like, where are the logos from R*, etc? Also clicking the link in the first post takes me to an (your?) indo-asian fan forum which if anything, only puts what is frankly an already ridiculous proposition in an even worse light. Have a nice day.

You know you've made it big when you can flick through the dictionary, pick a random word and make an expansion pack around it. But yeah, insanely weird. I also have no idea why you'd want to play as a cat or whatever. Has anyone at maxis ever seen a cat do anything? Alll they do is sleep and eat and shit and scratch up the goddamn furniture and then sleep again.

Have you been banned on another forum?
MrLlamaLlama replied to Huckleberry Pie's topic in Members' Lounge
To be honest I have literally no idea. We ignore him for the most part, and he might make a tit of himself every so often but he hasn't broken any rules as far as I can deduce so meh. Also been a while since I've seen you round here, how's things? -
I won't deny the impact apple had on the industry, nor their formidable marketing team, nor the way they managed to mainstream such simplistic designs and pass them off as new and innovative, but I will say this. They really do have such a horrible outlook and ethos on people who don't use their products solely. I recall an issue from a while back where someone had bought a new iPod, which required them to update their iTunes. The new version of which wouldn't run on their apple OS. So they bought a new version, OSX for this sole purpose to find out it wouldn't work on their apple hardware. That, to me is a simply disgusting piece of business practice. Also, they're suing pretty much every tom, dick and harry who makes a rectangular phone with a big screen. That's like Mercedes suing people for making cars with 4 wheels in the current market. Also OSX is a total piece of crap. I use it in the design studio and it's a pain in the ass. I've had brand spanking new 27" bells and whistles iMacs crash out on me with far more regularity that my self built PC. Programs crash more often, external storage devices fail to recognise data transfer, and the networking on them is simply an abomination, even in the small cluster of around 40 machines we run.

How to pass the mission - Freefall!
MrLlamaLlama replied to amazingdude's topic in GTASA Gameplay & Help
*merged 3 posts* Surely you can make a post with the initial amount of info you can get in, then go back and edit it afterwards? If not, try googling the issue to try and get it fixed. Random fact: 'Googling' is not in Chrome's dictionary - what the hell? -
How to pass the mission - Freefall!
MrLlamaLlama replied to amazingdude's topic in GTASA Gameplay & Help
May I ask, kindly. What in the fuck this thread is supposed to be? All I see is a list of random facts. Facts any person who's played San Andreas or has got to the point that they need to pass this mission will know. Wait, hang on, you're probably going to put the rest in another fuckin' post. Please don't do that, for the record I'm sick to the back teeth of having to merge, delete, merge, delete, merge delete your posts in between breaths. You've offered no help, nor any content of any value in this thread whatsoever, and why someone would find this information useful I have no idea. -
I'll scout around on ebay, amzon etc for a cheap microsd card then. Cheers guys.
-
Cheers for the links there, it'd been ages since i looked actually and never had an expansion card and no money to get one so left it. I'm gonna do some more research and see how it handles stuff like my music and videos etc since I want to go forward not back. Also phonecalls. Any idea if any of this actually works. When i was looking at old build of the thing ages ago nothing was really supported.

Got a Nokia n900. It's a festering pile of rotting dick matter. The hardware is awesome, but the software... It runs a build of linux called maemo, which was pretty good to begin with, when you realise you can get all the apps from the linux app manager. After that it got shit and crap and useless, it's slow, and the OS is crap. Legend has it you can flash it with android, but the work is incomplete and won't work without dual booting. So fuck that. Contract's up in 6 months though - since i'm happy with the handset itself I might see what Nokia's windows phones are like. Also if I grow a vagina I might get the new iPhone.

My guess is that the bloom / fog malarky on the PS3 version is to reduce the noticability of stuff like jagged edges at far distances and object pop-up. To me, though, it just looks a bit washed - out on the console... Are there not any ingame options to change the fog at all? If not my advice would be to wait for a patch if you really can't stand it or wait until the modding community get their hands on it.

For some reason it's been like that for me forever. Returns a 'file too big' etc error. Its says I've used 40mb of 40mb global upload quota. idk.
-
Fresh one, got it this morning. [realises picture is shit quality and wonders why even mods can't upload past 26k]

In reply to the question asked by Jimmy in the second post, I would most certainly say yes. Distributing any of the original game's files would be illegal, and most certainly forbidden on this site. If you create a total conversion mod, it should contain only the files needed for addition to the original game, and not any of the original game's content. And yes, it's even illegal if you own the game legally. When you installed it, bought it, whatever...you have at some point agreed (legally binding) to an EULA forbidding duplication of this kind, and to use the files for strictly personal use. I'd also like to push home, once and again, that we do not condone encouragement towards, or encourage ourselves, piracy. It's not a word we'll ban outright and in many cases logic dictates, but I digress. It'd also be great if we couldn't throw around that breach of the licence agreements and duplication of game files on the internet is in any way acceptable. If you're not sure, wait for someone who is to reply. Rockstar are great people doing a great job that millions enjoy, and they are extremely grateful for their fanbase and the admins of fan sites just like this one; it would be a shame for it to be noted that we had comments like these floating around our forums. If in doubt, look to the first post, Gerard spelled it out right there in black & white.

What O.S are you currently using now?
MrLlamaLlama replied to amazingdude's topic in Computer + Tech
Haha it certainly can't do that... but why cheese yellow? oh.no.wait. I just got the joke. well played, sir. Also @ amazingdude: The best OS is windows 7 64bit. There are a bunch of versions, just pick the one you think suits you. For just home use home premium's fine (what i use) but if you want all -out, go for pro. Buying an OEM version will save you a ton of money aswell.
