Huckleberry Pie
Sorry, but we don't provide support for pirated versions of GTA games. And I don't think that your current hardware config can run IV at decent playable speeds.

WRX22B1998
If you're really that desparate to find out, you could've just ran it. You should be able to, but don't hold out high hopes for the video settings. Depends alot at what res you're planning to use, really. I'm not "desparate", and i just can't install ir 'till I finish downloading the game. I didn't meant to disturb you, i should erase that "aaaanyone" comment. Don't worry. You should most probably be able to run it. I'm done, my brand-new Radeon HD5770 vaporX just arrived, so now it should be running fine. I changed a little bit my configuration: Still the same processor, AMD Phenom II 965 X4 @3600, 4GB 1333 DDR3 ram and regular 7200rpm sata drives. I tried to open the game just after the driver instalation (after reboot) and the game just hangs in a black screen. I'm not even able to do alt+tab, nothing at all! Anyone knows what this is about? Thanx! hmm thats weird... try uninstall gta4, restart, reinstall, restart again, and try run it. if it still has issues, could be a driver problem but you said u just got the new ones so probably not that. so you have the same cpu, motherboard, ram, hard drive etc as you had when you installed the OS. if you change at least the CPU or motherboard, you should reinstall the OS (windows or w/ev) because it doesnt really like it. i think some issues with drivers may arise etc.

Casual and low-end games like SA, but like what WRX said, don't bother running it on an integrated graphics chip. You might think of shelling some more cash on a desktop with a good graphics card, lots of memory and a beefy CPU as IV is really really resource-hungry for a game. Nope. You might be able to run it, but don't expect good frame rates even at low settings. Any four-digit Nvidia card that has 4 or below on the second digit is expected to be piss-poor when it comes to high-end games.

NickS
Hey guys! I was just wondering if my graphics card is compatible with GTA IV? I've got an ATI Radeon 3450, well the packet says 3450 but CPUZ says its 3400. I don't know which one to believe I've all the requirements the game needs, just the graphics card I'm a bit concerned with

I don't know which one to believe I've all the requirements the game needs, just the graphics card I'm a bit concerned with well if the box says its 3450 then it is. CPU-Z probably just sees it as a 3400 series ATi.

Angry_Jerk
Hi all, I found this thread via Google. I've used your site in the past to download GTA: San Andreas mods. Straight and to the point, my specs are: Asus M4A785-M mobo On-board ATI Radeon HD 4200 6 gigs DDR2 PC800 RAM AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core, 2.9 GHz I'm mostly concerned with the on-board GPU, which I'm 99.9% sure is shit. You can probably see that I'm not a serious gamer, and I really don't know a whole lot when it comes to this kind of thing. I just want to know if I'll be able to run this game at its minimum settings with no hassle. My monitor is currently set at 1366 x 768, but I'm unsure what resolution I'd be able to run this game at. Any and all help is appreciated.

Huckleberry Pie
Don't expect anything decent with a rig like that. GTA IV is a very, very resource-intensive application, and you'll need to shell out $$$ on equipment just to run it smoothly. Which means that you'll probably be stuck with SA instead. Nate10
Haven't yet purchased a 360 or PS3 and I still haven't played GTA IV. That bums the shit out of me so if either of my two systems meet the cut I'm going to go out and buy it for PC. Here's the main desktop my parents, sister, and I use. We've had it for a few years. Sorry if I typed too much for the processor. I'm just copying and pasting what the diagnostics tool is saying. Operating system - Windows Vista™ Home Basic Processor - AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz Memory - 2046MB RAM Graphics card - ATI Radeon HD 4670 Here's the specs to my laptop. I've had it for a couple years too. Operating system - Windows Vista™ Home Premium Processor - Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz Memory - 3582MB RAM Graphics card - NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS So yeah, there's my specs. I appreciate any help in advance. ----- EDIT: Forgot to add that both systems are 32-bit operating systems. Huckleberry Pie
The one running Vista Basic might be able to run it on medium settings, although you might need to have the CPU and your RAM replaced with better ones. As for your laptop, well, yes, but don't expect it to be fully playable.
rockstarrem
Nah man, those won't work with it. I've even tried it on those same specs that you posted as your laptop except with a better GPU and it still won't run at all. It's a really, really powerful game that can't be ran on those and at least be playable. Sorry :/.

But hey, I have some money saved up - I could invest in some things at least for the desktop. Actually, I was thinking I'd sell my laptop anyway if it couldn't run GTA IV because I only used it for porn and live gigs so I could just build a new system or upgrade my desktop. What do you think would need to happen to run it really well? To look and play better than the console versions. I don't want to shell out the cash on hardware and still not not be able to play IV. rockstarrem
Well, I'd make a new topic in the technology section or whatever and post what you want to do, that way everyone can help you make a new build.
