The variety in this game looks utterly insane. Vehicles, Missions, Characters, Landscapes, Guns - everything. I can tell i'm going to sink a ton of hours into the online if it hits PC. Probably won't go for an awful lot online on the 360, though.

The second day of IGN's week-long coverage of GTAV brings us a great hands-on preview of what to expect in GTA Online. IGN's Ryan McCaffrey is the first person outside of Rockstar Games to play the "shockingly ambitious" standalone multiplayer mode, and he has described 10 "crazy, awesome" things he saw and did in it. Have a read of the hands-on preview yourself, Ryan says GTA Online "is everything you’ve always dreamed an online GTA should be. It even has elements of persistence, though it’s definitely not an MMO." The preview also included 11 screenshots.

Looking even better! I don't care for the hanging out in the apartment/house/mansion etc but everything else looks good.

So the digital pre-orders were available for pre-load on PSN the other night (it's now been pulled). And you all know how the rest of the story goes from here. People were able to extract files from the pre-loaded data revealing a whole wealth of stuff, including all the radio stations and songs in the game (reportedly up to 30 hours of music). We also have all the cutscene audio from the game leaked, Weasel news audio, and the main theme. The cutscenes evidently reveal massive, massive spoilers including the ending to the game. My take on this is that Sony fucked up big time, yes the pre-load was supposed to happen, but not a month away from the game's release. WTF. Seriously what did they expect, this is one of the most rabid fan bases out there. Not making the same mistake I made with Red Dead Redemption. This has made my hype drop and I'm weary of what I visit now. Do you think Rockstar will move up the release date? Not like it would change anything really, the damage has been done for the most part, now its only a matter of wading through all this mess in hopes that we don't get spoiled. (yeah right lol) Brace yourselves people! Full disclosure: because I am not privy to the latest on all of this, some of what I said may be incorrect, we will see in the next few hours what is real and what is fake. So in the meantime this is just what I have read from multiple sources (namely GTAforums). Edit: Looks like some of the big media outlets are starting to pick this up. IGN has an article on their front page, with all the radio songs in game. smh. Videos are being taken down on youtube now. Take-Two ninjas are going to have a busy couple weeks ahead of them.

My good friend Tripmills of GTAForums does some app for Android, I think, writes small programs like arcade games, so perhaps send him a message about how it might suit you, I don't think he's swimming in bucks from that though.

That and the ludicrously satirical adverts and TV shows. They really did their homework, that's for sure.

There isn't much that's totally original, really, but they sure did a 'swell job at implementing it. The character switch mechanic is cool, although I've seen similar implementations before, it's just that R* put it to good use in V. And nice job with the pie/radial menu, too. *inb4 GTA5 HUD mod for GTA4*

They better be updating the Android version, too.
