PC Game "The Sims" Heading for the Big Screen
Huckleberry Pie replied to CroScorpion's topic in Gaming
They might give it an unscripted feel, but it would be crapshoot if they spoke in Simlish... -
Some RNB songs; Akon, Nelly, Justin Timberlake, Neyo, etc.

Sorry if i bumped this, but here's my pet dog:

Maybe you could give me some ideas, Ram, if you like... P.S.: OK, I admit, I promoted my URL here. Do I have another warning? Sorry, guys...

It's nice that a silent protagonist like him would be the narrator. But where should I start? The history of Vice City?

To answer Nate10's question, here's a snippet from Wikipedia: I hope this clears things for you guys...

Oh...

I'm about to make my very own Grand Theft Auto mockumentary, but I don't really know where to start. Maybe CJ Johnson or Monsieur Vercetti will be the narrator, I dunno... I hope you guys give me some fresh ideas or something...

Where will you sell it, Windows V.? eBay? Amazon.com? Some other online store? In a street corner or flea market?

My website (under construction)

That's why it's still under construction. It's still not yet done, I'm posting some song parody lyrics that I made there, and some more... And how on earth can I make a better bordered table, like in this page for example, http://strawberryshortcake.com/review/international.php? -
You got to have some hacking experience, a soldering gun, some blank DVDs, and a modchip (to bypass the DRM protection) to mod your PS2 game, but that's kinda' illegal, is it? For a newbie member, try not to SHOUT in the forums; that would be kinda' unethical to my tastes. Anyway, welcome to the forums...

I don't have enough money yet to buy paid software such as IPB, so I settled for a free one instead. I also installed MediaWiki there; you can register there, I'm making a little Wikipedia spoof site there... -

yeah its nice but maybe using more colorful fonts may help! I'm about to but that would be a bit crapshoot for some who do not have that font, like Pricedown or something, although I'll use such fonts as images. I'll put some Macromedia Flash applets on it, since it's kinda' cool, and it's used by many companies, like Nsync.com or StrawberryShortcake.com. I'm also installing a PHPBB forum and a wiki on it, but that would take a while... -
Yeah, GTA Classic is still nice to play even if it's oldschool...

Yeah, thanks, I'll continue on finishing that site... -
Due to concerns of spyware infections, I decided to make this thread for all of you guys who think that their PC's infected. HijackThis is a popular tool for finding out rouge processes that hijackers use to mess up your system. You can download it at http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php. Here's the procedure in using HijackThis: 1. Download and run HijackThis at the URL I mentioned earlier. Extract it from the zip package, and run the applet. 2. In the main menu, click on Do a system scan and save a logfile. The applet will scan the system and spawn a text file named "hijackthis.log". Open the logfile using Notepad, and post the log here or in any support forums. WARNING! You can delete processes using this applet, but BE CAREFUL or expect a system malfunction. Post the logfile first before doing anything to your system. I also recommend SpyBot Search and Destroy; it's free and it can get rid of those annoying adware and stuff from your system. I hope you guys like my tip... P.S.: I hope the moderator guys would pin this article...

Howto: Customizing the Windows System Properties applet

Yeah, thanks, Jared, tell them Huck did it... -
Well, you should have tried a spyware scan on your PC; tools such as HijackThis and Spybot can help - they're both free, but HijackThis requires you to submit your computer's process log to the experts for inspection, to determine if there's some rouge process in your rig. And, just to ask you something, are there any annoying popups and stuff that spawn up on your screen? I had a case of what the security experts called SmitFraud, that installs on your PC, without your permission, spawns popups, installs shortcuts to fraudulent websites, and displays a system tray icon and balloon message. A removal app can be found for free, but if your rig's still running like a snail, and you have the guts to do it, why not do it the man's way, like reformatting your hard drive? OK, I have a tip for you: try partitioning your drive into half, like if you have a 100GB drive, you can chop it into 50GB halves; there are utilities such as Norton PartitionMagic that can do that, if you have the money, since warez versions of such software can cause trouble.

Thanks, the whole OEM info thing started out as a mere curiosity for me, so I searched about it at Google... -

OK, so you're curious at the specs of your PC, and you spawned the Windows System Properties applet. For those of you who have branded PCs, like those at Best Buy or any other computer store, you may notice some extra stuff on it, like the computer manufacturer's name, website, logo and other blah-blah written on it. You may think that this is hard-coded in the applet's code itself. Hmm, think again. After some Google research, I found a way to put some OEM stuff in the applet. The key files that Windows needs to display OEM info are named OEMINFO.INI and OEMLOGO.BMP. These are the files Hewlett-Packard and other manufacturers use to advertise their products. You don't need to use sophisticated hacking tools in this procedure, just some beer, Notepad.exe, a decent photo manipulator such as Photoshop, and you. 1. Open Notepad, and make a new file. Copy and paste the following: [General] Manufacturer=Your Company, Inc. Model=Your Computer Model SupportURL=http://www.thegtaplace.com/ LocalFile=c:\your\local\support\file.htm [support Information] Line1=first line Line2=second line Line3=third line Line4=fourth line ... LineN=nth line ; Create as many lines as you need by incrementing the Line number 2. Of course, you would edit the text in there, and when you're done, save this to c:\windows\system32 (Windows folder name may vary) as OEMINFO.INI. Now proceed to the logo file. 3. Using Photoshop or any other paint app, make a bitmap (.bmp) file, making sure that the size is 180x114 pixels. Draw anything you want there, and save it as OEMLOGO.BMP. Again, save this to the SYSTEM32 folder. 4. Go to the System Properties applet, via the Control Panel. Voila! You've just customized your System Properties. Here's an example of what I did: This is the result when you click the Support Information button: If you have an OEM PC that already displays such info, and you don't like to see their adverts whenever you open System Properties, you can delete the OEMINFO and OEMLOGO files if you want to... I hope you like it... P.S.: Yay! I made a hundred posts now...
