  1. I guess your MS Xbox rig's pwnd itself. That's the reason why I don't like buying consoles and other stuff from Microsoft; they might have joined the bandwagon, but their self-pwning hardware might bog them for good...
  2. OK, boys, we'll finally stick to making this mod work. This pic below will be the basis (whenever possible) for our island: I'll take pictures of buildings for textures and the GUI stuff...
  3. I played Carbon a few times; it was a bit good but I think Pro Street would be a welcome addition to the series, since the topic of the game shifted from illegal racing to a TOCA-style simulation...
  4. Nope, but I corrected it for you... The proper way of embedding YouTube stuff here is pasting only the random giberrish code at the end of the URL, like , where "gsoGJdB7NtE" is the code that you olny need to paste.
  5. Me, as for my old PC, I still use it. Here's the specs: This is what my PC looks like, although I use a Philips 17-inch CRT Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 7855 996Mhz Pentium III CPU MS Windows XP Crap (er, Home) Edition, SP1 (I once attempted an SP2 upgrade recently, but it ended up in a power outage and a broken OS; I repaired it later, the original OS was Windows ME, aka Moron Edition) A Philips 17-inch monitor Connexant Audio/56K Modem A DSL connection A LAN card Mitsumi CD-RW writer (often used) Pioneer DVD drive 60GB HDD (replete with old documents and maybe some spyware)
  6. They just treat this forum as if it's a disposable Kodak camera that you ditch after a couple of shots... Man, I don't want to waste stuff like that... And spam bots suck big time; I have my own forum, yet I don't want such crap to creep in my own territory...
  7. No offense, but I think he's a noob when it comes to that. Although I might suggest that he download a mod tool in the Downloads section.
  8. What do you want to do with such?
  9. I know you're confused with such tech stuff, but if you want to mod it, you really need to ask the experts first before messing up your game. Look for modding tutorials in this site; they might help you with this matter...
  10. For all of you noobs out there, here's the Wikipedia article about HijackThis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HijackThis Basically, it makes a log of all the running processes in your system. You submit the log to a tech support forum, who will tell you if a certain process (exe, dll, tracking cookie, whatever) is rouge or not. You can download it here or in Trend Micro's HijackThis page (Trend Micro bought the app recently). If you use it, upload the log here and we'll see...
  11. Or maybe Kaspersky Internet Security and HijackThis; Kaspersky's not really for free but it's a bit more decent, while HijackThis can be useful especially if you're not a noob when it comes to fixing stuff...
  12. Does anyone know how to convert Sims 1/2 models to Vice City or San Andreas?
  13. Please kid, don't use ALL CAPS in the forums, and watch your grammar; anyway, you can, only that you need to convert such models to Vice City-compatible ones...
  14. Maybe someone can convert them for San Andreas, right?
  15. Nice; Vercetti should have finished her in prison...
  16. Hey, guys, I've asked a friend of mine, Stephan, to help with us with this modding stuff. He might join us in the forums...
  17. My dad currently has a little arsenal of weapons, an M16 rifle, and a Glock 9MM pistol. I also had an airsoft rifle once, but it ended up being "lost" after being lent to someone else... I would have liked to grab myself an FN F2000, the same weapon used by Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell, I dunno...
  18. Nice GTA3 busted pic, LOL!!!!!!! A four-star wanted level, and all she ended up is this? Ha! Hardcore GTA gamers can do more than that four-star thing... Was she being hunted by the SWAT when she got that level? Spread that picture; that might end up like a meme...
  19. I'll do a song parody about it, and I'll record it, so that you can download it to your User Tracks folder...
  20. I love it, it's awesome! I hope this would become a meme... Here's the URL for the game: http://www.gsn.com/minigames/minigame.php?id=20
  21. Right now I'm about to make a Sourceforge project page for this mod; we'll put all the binary stuff (installer) and some source files in case you guys want to make a mod, too... I'll tell you if the site's up...
  22. Combine some of these, and elements from other cities, and you'll end up with a GTA: SA total conversion... Urbanoutlaw made me start this modding project, after his responses to my GTA: Strawberryland parody, which is more of like a half-baked idea than a game (or maybe not). Me and Urbanoutlaw are looking for contributors for this total conversion project, turning San Andreas into a different GTA game. We're looking for map modders, guys who can make 3D stuff, graphics artists, and people who can manage the donations and financial stuff (whenever possible). I'll take care of some of the GUI tasks, official webpage and misc. I'm also considering making this an open-source project, under the GNU General Public License v2.0, and making a Sourceforge.net project site...
  23. OK, I'll move this into a new thread in SA Modding... I'll help with some of the GUI stuff and building textures...
  24. Combine some of these, and elements from other cities, and you'll end up with a GTA: SA total conversion... Like what the guys at ReactOS.org did to their project; reverse-engineering Windows 2000/XP just to make their own Windows clone. Maybe we should slap a GPL open-source license in that mod, but the Strawberryland idea might be too dorky for some people. There should be two versions, the Strawberryland joke and a more hardcore version - maybe Manila, Philippines or any other major city can be the basis; although it's hard to make a near-carbon copy of Manila, you might take some details from it, like the Baywalk and mix elements from other cities to make a total GTA conversion...
