To me it's just a game where you rape a song into oblivion. Making a mashup/remix for real and/or working your way up to being a real DJ is better and more redeeming than just pretending to be one.

Does anyone know of a good laptop for my mum? Netbooks such as the MSI Wind are preferred, but do you guys know of a decent rig for a beginner like her?

If you've updated your video card or drivers, you should delete the gta_sa.set file in your GTA San Andreas User Files directory. It has nothing to do with cracks or any patches whatsoever.
