Get GTASA File Recoverer and put your SA DVD inside. Then open that program and set the paths for the game and DVD (i.e): Game: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas DVD: E:\ or D:\ or the corresponding letter. Then open the tab that says TEXT and restore american.gxt. Good luck! You can use that prog also to recover every GTASA file, even gta3.img. It'll decompress the GTASA .cab files to the memory and restore it
