  1. Just a shameless little plug for one of our sister sites, AlanWake.co.uk, your premier resource for everything about Alan Wake, the upcoming psychological action thriller from Remedy Games. I've been less active on the forums this week, spending time to come up with a much more attractive and suitable design for the website, darker and grungier. And now it is finally complete. Check out my news post about the redesign to read a little more about it, and also leave your comments there. Don't know about Alan Wake? Head over to the site and read the About page, and also treat yourself to some gorgeous screenshots and high definition trailers. Also, we're looking to get the forums more active again, so if the game interests you, be sure to sign up and get posting. There's plenty to talk and speculate about, wishlists to be posted, and such like. Have fun!
  2. Tommy Montana I've merged your topic with an older one, just so you know. I'm not really playing anything at the moment, last game I played was Crackdown though.
  3. Nice topic, I can see this being quite popular so I'm pinning it. 4. LOL. Funny while it lasted I guess. Wonder how many people saw it while it was up...
  5. 3 month bump! From an admin! I know this topic has been pushed a few pages back since it was first discussed, but I did a little digging around today and added as much information as I could find to the Grand Theftendo article on Grand Theft Wiki, including a couple of development screenshots! There's also a couple of external links to the creator's (Brian Provinciano) website, as well as some gaming sites which covered its progress a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the official site, grandtheftendo.com is still down, but I checked and Brian does still own it , so hopefully he will bring it back to life one day.
  6. One of you should have moved this to Gaming Chat.
  7. Idiot. Bumping a three year old topic which was SPAM, never mind that, the links in it don't even work, one's even been wordfiltered. Don't be a retard. You've been warned for this. Topic Closed.
  8. Previously you stated that GTA IV's scale is slightly smaller than San Andreas Yes and this is still true. SA didn't have a lot of detail to it is point we're making. While Liberty City is incredible more detailed than any other GTA game.
  9. I believe it's 2nd May, so next Wednesday. EDIT: might actually be 1st May...
  10. No it won't be featured. Hence why it's been left out of the game. Learn to read
  11. The Grand Theft Auto IV preview we reported on a couple of weeks ago in the UK publication Official PlayStation Magazine has today been dropping through the letterboxes of some lucky subscribers. There's a fair amount of new information in the magazine, which we've summarised below. The protagonist Niko Bellic is in his mid-thirties, and although not customisable, you will be able to don him with new outfits and such. Rockstar said they got Niko's physics just right and found it was difficult to implement character customisation with regards to this. Staten Island, the only area of New York not recreated in Liberty City was left out due to Rockstar deciding it would not be a fun location to play in. There are no "dead spots" or "irrelevant space" in the game. There really are no loading screens once you're in the game, even when moving from exterior to interior, moving between the two will be seamless The mob will be featured in the game, though they won't be lead characters. Additionally, 'hardly any' of the characters from previous games will return. Missions will offer an increased amount of realism, and will be longer and more varied, some will even have multiple possible outcomes. Bridges will possibly keep you from accessing other boroughs at the start of the game, but this hasn't yet been finalised. What comes as a big relief to us is that there's no more pop-ups of buildings and foliage as we've seen in the past thanks to the completely overhauled graphics engine. Dan Houser stated that no one has attempted to recreate a location of this size, and with so much detail, ever before. The Artificial Intelligence of the NPC's has received a huge overhaul, pedestrians do a wide variety of things which were mentioned in the GameInformer article, and they even react to events such as a gun being pulled on them. Shooting is said to be much more precise and fluid than in previous games. Niko can use his mobile phone to do things such as set up deals and ambushes Rockstar haven't yet decided how to make use of Sony's SIXAXIS controller for the PlayStation 3 version of the game. Planes were not included in the game because there isn't enough room for them, and you would traverse the city too quickly. As we confirmed before though, we will be able to pilot helicopters. Rockstar have promised a wider range of side-missions to partake in while not playing through the main storyline. Thanks to Adds for the scans.
  12. Your point of view... not where you live.
  13. This is a test to see if the ? symbol shows up in posts correctly like this ? and I wonder what you see instead of ? if you're not on a Mac or if you aren't using a standard character set. I LIKE APPLES ?????? EDIT CRAP: Didn't work for me anyway because database shitted itself once. Disregard this post.
  14. It won't, it's an error with the store mod, not with IPB. And I'm merging this topic with the old one.
  15. Andrew Reiner has answered your questions about Grand Theft Auto IV. The article contains some surprising (read: dumb) questions that have been answered, such as one about hot chicks(?), however there are a few good questions that were answered too, below is a quick summary of what we've learned from this. The whole article is way too long to post here, so check my second post in the comments if you'd like to read it all. Helicopters are confirmed GameInformer's demo was only 15 minutes, they didn't manage to see if seasons were implemented AI is likely to have been vastly improved It seems as though we're able to climb objects such as telephone poles Liberty City seems very realistic Girlfriends make a return, slightly surprising judging by the amount of people who really didn't like this feature in San Andreas It's very possible that characters from previous GTA games will make an appearance There really are no loading screens Thanks to TheTrojan for the article
  16. Inactive elites are generally veterans of the forum.
  17. I'm planning on promoting the next lot in July. So if your join date is July 06 or earlier and you want to become elite, make a good impression to us and we'll consider you. I have 2 people in mind right now.
  18. After a discussion in the Elite forum, we came to the conclusion we would just stick to the original 2 members we said we would elite. Those members are: Jace, and Bear Congrats guys!
  19. I'm in the process of choosing a few members to join the elites. I've posted in the elite forum and 2 members are definitely going to be joining, there's a couple of others I forgot to mention so I'll be seeing which other current elites agree and we'll see who gets made. I'll probably post here again tomorrow with the names of the members who we've made. While the 12 month rule is still in place, there is 1 member who we decided we'd bend the rules for, and possibly another member too.
  20. Open up in Paint and instead of clicking Save click Save As and in the 'type' box choose jpg.

    GDT version 1.0

Just Honda here in the UK. I thought Acura was only for North America, USA, Canada, Mexico...? Isn't it kind of like Chrysler and Dodge. In the UK we have mainly Chryslers, you rarely see a Dodge, and Chryslers here aren't even that popular in comparison to other cars.
  22. Well actually there weren't that many changes made. For a simpler version Jared is right by saying it's too speed up the site. But the problem was that recent posts were kind of pointless. To not waste space I chose not to have it show the number of replies and the name of the last poster. Looking at it now, just a topic title linking to the topic itself on the forums isn't particularly great for users, and unless they're already registered on the forums they probably don't care...there's now more and more posts being made everyday, so the links there change too frequently for it to be of any use to someone monitoring any new posts that may have been made. We may re-add it in the future or have it better placed. Various small changes like this have been made to greatly reduce the number of queries performed on the database on every page load. Now since I made the changes TGTAP hasn't timed out once on me, and the server seems to be coping better overall. I've put images up to attract more users to the forums in its place. If they don't seem to be working I'll make better ones.
