The patch promised by Rockstar for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV has now been released. Start up GTA IV and connect to LIVE to initiate the download. The patch is 32.6MB and will take a few minutes to install. It should fix the following issues: A fix to the crash after legal screen that some German customers were reporting. Numerous improvements to the video editor: Smarter naming of videos, improved rendering quality, better fx during replays. Fix to bowling while using certain sensitive mice. Fix for ATI 1900 shadows. Overall savings to memory. Graphic improvements to particle systems and mirrors. Multiplayer character settings are preserved. Support for DirectInput controllers. Nah, everyone has different tastes, no way to determine who's is best. Throughout 2008 we've still had quite a few stunt vids posted so we'll keep the awards for at least this year. Perhaps next year if it's still declining in popularity we'll scrap them.

Actually no, I think Least Likely to Get Laid can be one of our humorous awards this year, along with Largest Breasts. That should probably be it though, mostly looking for serious awards that people have to actually work for. Best Debater is a good one, as is Best English so we'll definitely include those. Best non-native English is a good idea too, except it's unfair in numerous ways, some of which Gerard pointed out. But some countries teach kids English alongside their mother tongue, whereas some only learn it in the schooling stages. People are at all different stages. For the reasons we've discussed I won't bother including that award.

Well on the back of the box it says: "Enhanced for: 64 bit | multi-core" So I guess it should do, XP or Vista 64 bit versions, on a multi-core processor are what you're going to run the game best on.

Possibly next year for that? Not sure we have many notable modders here, in terms of actual modelling and stuff. A lot of the modders here are more texturers, config editors and such. Not sure we'd have that many candidates right now, that's all.

Once someone creates a tool that can modify model/texture archives so we can replace them with our own. No telling how long that will take. I'm not a software programmer so I'm not sure what exactly they need to figure out before they can start working on writing such a tool.

It didn't get them wrong. The Ruger/Kruger change, SPAZ12 and SPAS-12 change are just two examples of names which changed between PS2/PC versions. It was to do with trademark issues.

Meh, it's better with just one award for it I think. Member of the Year is fine. That's a pretty prestigious award to win. I'll definitely add that. No need for many staff awards, we're respected enough as it is. Seriously. Open to males and females so certain folk don't accuse us of being sexist and/or sexualising stuff for no reason!
