Well it would be better if people didn't. But during nominations, like if it's an image (usually is) we'll just link to it, so if they do change their sig it won't matter. Dunno. I'm kinda against negative awards now. Could have that I guess. Are you trying to guarantee yourself an award? As I said above, not too keen on negative awards but we did have this one year. But it can lead to banned members getting awards which is pointless. Gang awards are actually a great idea. Unfortunately kinda pointless right now, but definitely next year because by then the gang's will have been revamped and hopefully in a much more active state. Most active member is a bit ambiguous, some people like myself come here everyday anyway, it would end up being who posts the most etc. So I'm gonna say no to that. Member of the year could be a good one. How would you rank that? Just on their overall quality of posting, attitude, helpfulness etc.? lol. We could but that's too much and we're not really a big enough forum to warrant that much awards. We do however do them for Sexiest Member awards since they're always the most popular for some unknown reason would have won last year but now I wouldn't. Poor breasts, into the bonfire they went. But hey the mods are very good anyway so who knows (haha am I arse licking?). Also I think the hottest member award will be more interessting this year for us girls as we dont seem to have Kokane (is she still around?). You would have won biggest cock award!? Oh... your breasts... into a bonfire! To be fair I think the biggest breasts award would be one of the most amusing to have, we should seriously do that just for the lulz. You're right about most respected member. That's why we added a most respected mod award separately last year, so a normal member would get an award and not always be staff, Problem is with staff, people just generally respect the admins more, so me or Sky would win every year which is why I specified mod/super mod instead. I think I will make all staff applicable though. Sky's been admin long enough now for everyone to stop arse licking only me (as enjoyable as that can be sometimes). Kokane doesn't post anymore, seems to randomly visit from time to time though.

I think we had that in 2006 and removed it for 2007 for that reason, yeah it's a bit of a laugh but some people do take things too seriously... @Sky: Yes sir. I'd win both though, right?

Microsoft launched a mini-site for Grand Theft Auto IV's downloadable content for the Xbox 360 last night. On it they included three screenshots of The Lost and Damned which we haven't seen before. Just a short note to inform anybody here looking one of Switch's many mods. Switch has decided to leave The GTA Place for personal reasons. Many users will be sad that his mods are no longer here, but he has informed me that he does plan on starting up his own website for distributing his mods from now on, so best of luck to him with that. To end this short post on a more positive note, I just want to let everyone know that the changes we're planning on making to TGTAP are still on track, we hope to get everything done ready for new year, so look out for exciting new things including a new layout after the Christmas period.

To everyone supporting Switch Designs Switch has decided that in protest of me moving this post from our front page to the General GTA forum, he would edit ALL 156 mods of his mods hosted here and replace the file with a text file with a big "fuck you" to me, Chris, and this website. This is coming from a famous GTA modder, well respected in most corners of the GTA community. Presumably happily married with children for over 10 years, he commits this childish, immature act. I don't understand why he's done it, but he has. I can only apologise on his behalf to everyone who genuinely enjoyed his mods, and now, thanks to this, can no longer download any of them. First GTAGaming, now TGTAP. And with him not being liked by much of GTAF, I've no idea where he's going to go now. Switch has left TGTAP now for personal reasons.

Ah... so influential I am... What does the Japanese text say? I get all my brushes from DeviantArt. Search for terms like "abstract" or "grunge" and find ones you like. So many decent ones there to choose from. The one used in my sig, and apparently azn's is from a set called Winter Breeze. I don't care if you all start using them, I only put it in my current sig for the sake of actually using the brushes I download

We don't even do it for the site server costs, not directly anyway, we have ads for that purpose like most other sites. I read through a fair bit of your GTAF topic, and most people there seem just to be taking the piss, and you just came back with retorts, even when they brought your wife into it. You mention that your job barely supports your wife and kids... now I'm in no place to comment on your situation, but man, it sounds like you'd be better off looking for a better job. Easier said than done I know, but you have 3D modelling skills. I'm pretty sure you could get a well paid job in the industry that would better support your family, as well as your gaming habits, which are secondary to your family let's not forget. You've made 100's of mods that have been downloaded millions of times so you have fans, sure there's a lot of people out there who want you to continue your work. I mean I don't know how much money you've received through this donation stuff, but the main demographic you're talking to are 13-20 year olds - the sort of people who aren't really in a position to be donating money. P.S. link to your mods through the link on your author page, the one with the number of files. Due to the scale of the database and number of searches done per day, it's impractical for us to keep them for long periods of time. Searches therefore are only kept for 24 hours.

If you killed them it's fine, you won't need them for the achievement. It's actually easier that way.

As promised by Rockstar and ATi last week, ATi have today released updated Catalyst drivers (version 8.12) that should give gamers with ATi graphics cards improved performance when playing Grand Theft Auto IV. Head over to ATi Catalyst drivers to download the latest version. It's recommended all ATi users upgrade. For those of you with nVidia cards who might have missed last weeks update, nVidia put out some beta drivers which many gamers report improves the framerate when playing GTA IV, you can get those at nZone.com. Let us know if these new ATi drivers improve your game performance.

Especially for us in England, everyone knows Australia is where we sent all the criminals and that you're all descendants of them But no your country is actually pretty cool and I'd like to go there someday, would be nice seeing it in a GTA but I don't think it'll ever happen, just wouldn't fit the whole theme of the game IMO.

Yeah there's no way you could comfortably play at 10fps, that's absurd. Anything below 20 is, that's the bare minimum.
