  1. It all really depends on how fast you pop the board. Like I said before, the tailbones don't weigh all that much and they're not like a brick or anything. Since I am getting the "Uber light" board along with a tailbone...then I think I'll still be better off than I am right now. If I start off with both of them then I won't have to adapt to anything. I've noticed that the faster I get the tail to hit the ground and for my foot to get off the tail directly after it hits...the higher I go. So it doesn't really matter how much space there is between the ground and the tail unless it's very significant.
  2. , Niko Bellic decided to shoot himself.
  3. If you want this topic to stay open...then why don't you ignore what everyone is saying about your previous post (including this one) and start giving some valid points as to why you don't think Obama will be a good president. If you don't...this topic will be closed really soon.
  4. They changed it back, the sneaky bastards. You probably weren't signed in.
  5. That does apply to everyone though, It doesn't apply to me.
  6. I don't think you really understand what went on in this topic. You stated your views and beliefs...but couldn't defend them. If you think someone is "attacking" your beliefs/views/opinions such as this, you need to be able to defend them with something more than "Stop attacking my beliefs/views/opinions". It’s perfectly fine that you have your own beliefs/views/opinions, but if you can’t explain them better or don’t have any better reasons than it’s because of your religion, then you’re going to run into things like this. I’m Catholic too, but I don’t use that in any of my arguments, provided that the debate/argument isn’t about it, because most of the members here aren’t religious. Believe me, I’ve been in a lot of debates/arguments about my beliefs/views/opinions and pretty much everyone else in here that you think has been “attacking” your beliefs…have had debates/arguments about my beliefs/views/opinions. I’ve just been having a debate with everyone in the Skateboarding topic about me getting a tailbone, which has been going on for about 4 pages now. They’re trying to tell me not to buy something that I have my mind set on buying. So don’t think that everyone in this topic thinks the same and or gets along with each other all the time. You just decided to have this topic when you first joined, which sort of gave you a bad idea of how we treat others and you gave us a bad first impression. You just have to be careful with what you post. Just remember this, DO NOT VERBALLY ATTACK ANYONE WITH NAME CALLING AND OR SWEARING. You’ll be banned in a heart beat.
  7. Well what you guys aren't getting is that I want to use a regular skateboard because I still want to ollie and try other tricks and you're trying to pass off that tailbones make it IMPOSSIBLE to do any kind of trick. The tailbones can't be any more than a pound and if that holds you back then that's pathetic.
  8. I'm not really concerned about the ranks. As long as you could play decent, I'm happy.
  9. Bold: At one point that actually wasn't allowed. But you're right, since society hasn't been around it enough it's not accepted.
  10. I totally agree with you. I was just trying to point out one of society's many flaws in logic. Right now we're just getting past the point where it's ok to be different if you have absolutely no control over it. It's sort of hard to explain it, but hopefully you understand it.
  11. I'd suggest getting a wireless headset. It'll be needed for matches, but don't buy one just yet. Wait until May or something.
  12. I'm pretty sure ZetaBoards took over InvisionFree because with my old IF board I got a message saying something about Zetaboards and I think it was about a take over or something.
  13. Longboards are pretty sweet. Especially if you like going fast. They USUALLY have better bearings, and the longer heavier board is more stable. The only thing I personally think longboards would be good for is luging. I don't stand on my skateboard when going down steep hills. I luge down them fuckers. That way, if there's a vehicle coming towards me...I'll just ride right under them.
  14. Really? I think the first one was over-rated, the second one blew cock, and the third one actually had a good story to it. I liked the third one the best((and when I first heard about it, I thought it was going to suck the hardest)). Why didn't you like the first two? The second one was my favorite and I didn't really like the third...I own it, but don't really like it all that much. I liked the storylines from the first two, especially the second one.
  15. Try out ZetaBoards. It's free.
  16. I'm not sure if that was in response to my post saying that being gay isn't a crime, but I mainly said that based on the current laws in the US. Bold: That's what I was getting at. You could "stay in the closet" if you wanted to, which isn't really right, but in comparison to people of other races or gender...they can't really hide from that as easily.
  17. Nah, longboards are usually even more expensive.
  18. And yeah, there won't be progress if you're using tailbones! http://www.instantrimshot.com/ Exactly, I don't go along with the crowd. That means I'm not a conformist, but that doesn't mean I'm a nonconformist. That just means that I don't do things just because other people are. Likewise, I don't choose to not do something because other people are. I do things because I want to. I don't let other people influence me. Are you ignoring half of my post? I said that I don't care about progress. I'm just skating for fun, not to get sponsored or anything that would require me to need any kind of progress.
  19. The thing is, being gay isn't a crime. What people are pissed off at is letting them get married. I forget who it was, but someone actually gave good reasons as to why some people think they shouldn't get married, but raybob's view is that they shouldn't get married...just because, which isn't a good answer. Search through the topic and you'll find the post. I think the person was actually for gay marriage, but they were pointing out why some people don't want gay marriage, which were semi-legit reasons that made a hell of a lot more sense than raybob's.
  20. You're missing the point. It's clear you'd rather follow your nonconformism than take our [exceptional] advice, so I'm not arguing over this anymore because it's not an issue of personal preference. I guarantee it will slow down your progression and become a nuisance. You'll realize this eventually. Part of your advice was that I shouldn't get it because you don't even see posers use it. Just because I don't listen to what you're saying doesn't mean I'm a nonconformist. The reason I'm not taking your advice isn't because I don't want to conform. If I was a nonconformist then I wouldn't be skateboarding. Also, I'm not skateboarding to conform. Conformist and nonconformist are two groups that I don't want to be apart of. I'll say this again, I skateboard to have fun. I'm not trying to get anywhere(metaphorically) with skateboarding so there's no such thing as "progress" with me and skateboarding.
  21. You took my comment too literally and you didn't even answer the question that you steered away from with another question. Not only that, but it wasn't a question for you in the first place. Where did I say that you could control your love for someone? I did not say that, you misinterpreted what I was trying to say. You're forgetting that I'm for gay marriage, I'm just trying to explain why others might think that certain things aren't right and I'm also trying to explain why they think that way from a sociological stand point. So don't start trying to throw facts at me because I'm already for it. What is that saying, "You're preaching to the choir"...if that even applies here.
  22. You said, "Why have societies' attitudes changed towards some things (class, race, gender) but not others." I was trying to some what make a point. Race and gender are things we can't control and we shouldn't be limited in rights because of that. Homosexuals on the other hand had the choice between being straight or gay. Now I realize that the majority of the people here think that homosexuals don't have a choice and I believe that to an extent, but they have a lot more control over that than people of a certain race and or gender. Society has gotten past the extremely stupid idea that race and gender matter, but they haven't gotten past homosexuality and that's the next step, not saying that looking down on homosexuals isn't stupid. As a society we have to realize that personal choice shouldn't matter if it doesn't effect others.
  23. ...What the hell do you mean you can't do anything about it. What the hell happened to this? I thought you said you have your own beliefs...If you have your own beliefs then you've made your own choices. Your post are contradicting.
  24. But what did the kid do or say that showed the cop disrespect?
