  1. Sweet deal, glad to see this taking action. Though, I did give myself the illusion it's almost be as if the site's merge in with each other(i.e. the vast accumulation of new members here)so are we just thinking that both sites will make new accounts on the other site and be active on both, or?
  2. I can (sort of) understand disagreeing with homosexuality, many people do, but making you want to cut your eyes out? That's harsh. What do you mean by an "openly gay performance"? Are you suggesting that everyone who is openly gay is like this? Because that's just not true. Even 99% of the people who you can TELL are gay aren't anything like that. What about "straight-acting" gays like me? Do I disgust you just by existing? Would you refuse to talk to me just because you know? Would you vomit on me if I did this with my partner in a monogamous long-term and very normal relationship? Let me clarify what I said, I missed a few things out. One specific example I can refer to is the X Factor, right, with the act called Diva Fever. Watching their performance was basically a hide behind the sofa moment, and I don't know why it provokes that reaction from me. For those who are in the US, let me describe what their act was. They came out in shiny pink and purple suits, with a few similar backing dancers. They then took their trousers off to reveal a tight fitting pair of shorts, multicoloured, and the backing dancers movements were suggestive too. It just made me uncomfortable, and I'm like that around every gay person. It's only the people who are openly gay who snog their partner in public when it annoys me, or when it's shown on TV. I just don't want to see it. I have nothing against you or any other gay person, it's just the flamboyant openly gay people that irritate and annoy me. Bold: You say you have nothing against any gay person, but right afterwards you explain that you're irritated and annoyed by flamboyant openly gay people. Unless you are also irritated and annoyed by campy straight people and open asexuals/bisexuals/heterosexuals/homosexuals/etc. you just sound a little homophobic or insecure or something seeing men acting different than your preconceived notions/society's labels of male's. As for the OP, yeah, I'm interested in your opinions on people being open about their sexuality(if it's not gay) like Gerard was getting at. You say you don't care if someone's a homosexual, but it seems blatant that you do.
  3. I read it around the day it was posted, but wanted to process it a little more, to create a more in-depth post. I'm currently stoned so I don't feel like writing anything but I'll be back in this topic with 2 cents or so soon.
  4. Wow, yeah - I'll be looking forward to this installment. Sounds cool.
  5. Precisely - spot on. This is one of the many threads on the same subject(hell, off-hand, I think I may have thrown up this style of thread before). Also, I did see your thread Ivan, and was gonna reply but I wanted to think about your post a little more so I can give a more in-depth post. I'm all in favor. I know I'm not in any aspect of the word "staff" around here but I'd happily help however possible. I currently have so much time on my hands it's not even funny.
  6. Nice - I mostly play in open D and C now.

  7. That's a bummer man, if you ever get the chance to have one and you still want to, go for it. The first time I watched it, I couldn't stop crying and hugged my dogs, so I'm right there with you. It brought back great memories of a rad dog I had to put down when I was real young(shit's unbearable) and I hate thinking about my current two dogs passing away.
  8. Black Keys seem cool, listened to some of their stuff a couple years ago. Didn't know they were apart of a couple videogames' soundtracks. That's cool.
  9. No photography related business, though I wish! That would be really nice. I'm a waiter at a local crêperie restaurant/café. Really chill music(like seriously), dope atmosphere, and just an overall cool place. I'm just stoked I'm making more than minimum wage right off the bat at 16. Photography/videography wise though, hit me up whenever if you are curious about anything, have a question, or just wanna mindlessly talk about anything relevant to it! @ Ivan - Yeah man, I'll actually have to take you up on that offer. I HAD such an amazing collection of dope PS1 games/demo packs back in the day, but sometime around elementary school I was cleaning out my room and had all my PS1 games in a box(the PS2 was out by then so I was all entranced into that)and this box took up so much space in my room that I just threw 'em away. Said fuck it, why do I need those anymore. My parents were in shock telling me I'd regret it, but I was stubborn. Here I am today though man, doing an ever endless scavenger hunt on ebay, local game shops, and etc., trying to retain all of those classics that I literally threw away in the garbage. Never would've known then how nostalgia can make a game so much better now. I'll probably never find all those games again. Bums me out. And ps2 wise, I've loaned so many of my games to friends, either never getting them back or returned scratched to the point they can't even play so yeah, like I said, I'll take you up on that offer.
  10. I'm aware, aware that good games have been coming out each year. It's just that I still don't have a 360 or a PS3, and if I'm playing games it's only my old PS1 games(nostalgic value + good game = so much profit), occasionally playing old GTA games on the PS2, or playing Combat Arms/The Sims 2 on the computer. I would save up for some games to play on the computer, but I'm saving up for camera setups, video camera setups, light setups, instruments, programs(probably'll rip them once I get some of the instruments), and plus paying for gas/insurance and etc. keeps me fairly tight with money. Also, I am not that into video games compared to how I used to be(besides old PS1 games), and that bums me out. R.I.P. carefree gaming.
  11. I ordered Medal of Honor Limited Edition 2 weeks ago too, forgot to mention that. Ordered it for under £40 from Zavvi. Not sure if it'll come with the MOH novel as well, or just the other stuff, but even if it did I would just leave it on a shelf somewhere. I so failed without even realizing it - thought it was the other last purchase thread. Anyhow, man... I haven't bought a game in years.
  12. Haha, I wish I wrote it. It's an old Zen story. --- I hate having to explain a joke.
  13. Hey thanks man, I appreciate that. And yeah, I intended to leave out the premise so the video could be a little more intense, but also so we could have a little more discussion in here(nobody has replied yet though, so... )
  14. so your saying i should take S*** no matter what. No, I'm not saying that at all. All I did was ask you a question in which you didn't answer. I am sorry about your complications in life, but don't always try to point the finger at someone.
  15. 24 pack of Pabsts, coffe, milk, and Kahula.
  16. Man. I miss you. I believe the community does too. Hope shit is all and well.

  17. If you were a woman, would you want to date a man that has the illusion that women disregard all "nice guys" thus only desiring "bad ones"? Yeah. I wouldn't either.
  18. Quality post man, that was a good read for me. As for the punishment part, I think(at least for the moment right after reading your post)that it comes down to how flexible your morals are and the specific case(i.e. exceptions seem to be around within anything). For instance, I am not religious and don't want to be categorized as an Agnostic or Atheist either. I'm just me. Nathan Dillon Thrash. And I'm fine with that. But, to get to my point, I like trying to be knowledgeable of what religion is about, the history of it, etc. and when it came to religious people, I used to love to argue with them because I thought they were wrong. Now, even though I don't agree with them, I respect their own beliefs. When they want to shove their beliefs down my throat though, that's another story. So in that case, yeah I can't blame them for believing they're right. Though, with killing JUST for the sake of killing or raping children, I can't grasp the idea of accepting their belief. Yeah, I hear you about the music thing. Music is really big for me, listening and playing. I sometimes have to get off my high horse because in the end I am but a human too so who am I to point at what's good and bad in the music world. Lastly: Once upon the time there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. “Such bad luck,” they said sympathetically. “Maybe,” the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. “How wonderful,” the neighbors exclaimed. “Maybe,” replied the old man. The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. “Maybe,” answered the farmer. The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. “Maybe,” said the farmer.
  19. I hear you there, somewhat. Close to everything, if not everything, is a matter of perspective. I may find something good, or find something right, but that doesn't mean it's good or right. It might personally, but others may think differently. So who is the right one? No one in the end. Nothing is right or wrong, it just is. Then you think about morals though, and how how could this philosophy could apply with killing people or something as such. Yeah, generally people look down upon it but there's some, in our opinion, fucked up people that see mindless killing okay. So does the theory still work? Idk. That's why I never stop questioning things. I just keep thinking. As for you hating certain peoples "shit" music taste, that's what I ment by how I somewhat feel ya. I respect most people's taste in music, but if they're only into "mainstream formula-driven studio" shit then I may get annoyed. Oh and, I love Coldplay's album: A Rush of Blood to the Head. ooh oh oh, this is a hungover quick typed post btw. I might have to become clearer in what I'm saying in later posts if we continue this conversation haha. Peace. EDIT: Maybe is one of my favorite words.
  20. I was about to type that I hate close-minded people, but, isn't it close-minded of myself to hate everyone that is close-minded?
  21. That's one of your Miranda Rights from the 5th Amendment to the Constitution. I don't think they have that law in the UK though. @Husky Don't steal . . . . ? Hence why I said "where I'm from" and, " I doubt laws and etc. are the exact same throughout the world..." Btw, quality post Gerard. I'm curious though(since I'm not knowledgeable in this area and don't know a PCSO is besides the info you listed), do PCSOs need a reasonable suspicion or something similar to that in order to demand something like a name or address?
  22. LOL. Okay, basically, some guy saw me take an already snapped off branch from a tree, he told some council worker I snapped it off, and then the council guy made me give him my name and address, and then said he was giving me a caution (which basically is a formal warning that goes on your record), "Do you accept or deny the criminal damage offence?" and I denied it. He said because I'd denied it I'd get a letter inviting my to an Interview Under Caution, which is basically when you sit in a small room and they record it and ask you what happened. They said I'd get the letter in two weeks but this was a month and a half ago. I doubt laws and etc. are the exact same throughout the world, but I'm not sure if that council worker was in his right jurisdiction to demand your full name and address. I'm not completely sure, but, where I'm from, I don't think that's legal. You have the right to remain silent, and that is a right when stopped by the law. This is some council worker, you could of just walked away.
  23. You did manage to convince one dude though. If you're talking about me, well not really That FB chat didn't convince me at all, but couldn't really resist to say that. ;] And seriously, as dumb the law can be, no one could get arrested for a pizza. Sureeeee. Bold: Why not? What if someone came up to a pizza shop, and held the place up demanding pizza. Stealing is stealing. As for Husky's case though, yeah, no. Arresting him would be out of proportion. @MK47 - I didn't understand that fully but I'll just smile and nod.
  24. What does a 'caution' equal out to in terms of a punishment?
