Yeah, it certainly was. Had one ride in it, but we never had the opportunity to ready give it some. Ah well.
Motorkhana, ey? Is that the Summernats event on the grass/dirt track?
Hell yes! That's a good way to cram some extra power into your ride, although a 350 stroker would have gone down a treat!
I bloke I know named Kingsley, he owns a TD Gemini Wagon that he has legally road registered with a V6 Buick engine from a VN Commodore, supercharged. Cost a fair bit of dosh, engineering certificates and whatnot, but was it worth it. I also have some footage of that as well. Top machine.
LMAO, never seen it before, no. Pretty awesome though.
Also, no laughing at the gemini. That thing pulled a 12 second quarter.. (faster than a standard V8 VY)
Haha, I'm an Adelaide man. Been in Tassie for two years due to my partner being born here. She likes it more over here.. So do I now. Took a bit of getting used to though.
Prior to the commodore though, I owned a TG Gemini. What a monster this thing was. The old 4-banger. Had a G200 (2ltr) rodeo engine with twin 40mil IDF webers. She went like the clappers.
(Animated GIF I made while I was at OzGemini.com - Good burnout that one.. I still have the mov file if anyone is at all interested.. :/)
Also, just something I was sent by one of my mates a while back....
They are very similar to the Chev Malibu, not sure whether it was modelled after it though. The 1992 VP Commodore is a dead ringer for a malibu though.
She's a heavy drinker regardless of what I do. It's an old car though. It's just ticked over the 260,000km mark.
Lol, my will power must be very low. I've stopped 3 times, and its lasted a maximum of 6 days. Always end up back at square one somehow.
We've been out of cigs for almost a week now. Not really bothering us. Sometimes I wish we had one.
Keep me posted on this. I'd be interested if you're able to stay off them. I'm also interested in what you'll do first: Have a cigarette, or (god forbid) go on a homicidal killing spree. Either would be nice.
Ugh, I used to smoke a bit of weed in high school. The smell of it makes me gag now. Also, there is one smell I will never forget, the smell of bong water on my trousers. Ewwww!
Hahaha, yeah! That episode was tops. Jeremy Clarksons hilux took a beating! He wanted to put 2 onboard motors on too.
You're sister makes the rules, ey? Used to be the case when I lived at home, too. Haha.
Swift Shift just doesnt do it for me. I did laugh out loud to my embarrassment while watching last weeks one. Also, HOORAH for the soon to return TopGear UK! This Aussie series isn't living up to the hype for me. It's just not funny!! Quite a let down, but i'm sure it will get there as they become more familiar with the show.
Yeah, I'd noticed that. Wasn't a new ep at all. Bloody 10!!
I voted for a "new fictional city". Imagine if Rockstar were no longer bound by the rules of reality, and were able to build their own completely unique city, unlike New York, unlike Miami, and unlike anything we've ever seen before. Left to their own devices, I'm sure they could conjure up something true insane!!
Dude, chill out. Ease of the shift key.

Pretty average Holden VR Berlina (Commodore). Hell, it was the luxury family sedan of 1994!
She's a 3.8ltr V6 that will quite happily chew its way through 70litres in less than 450kilometres.
Edit: Another pic.
