You have to give them a certain file name. M4V20001, M4V20002, M4V20003... etc. Try naming them with those names. That should work. Or you could just download a program that will convert, rename, and transfer all your videos for you.

For the default; maybe a subtle blue? Or a really light brown? Or a light brown aswell as a light grey?

I think the text sizes are ok. If you have bigger text for the content then it will look too big and the menu text looks good that way.
